Queensland and northern NSW has been ravaged by Cyclone Debbie. More then half of the Qld coastline. Some of holiday islands destroyed. SE Qld and N NSW it is the flooding caused by it being slow moving. Three deaths known so far. Springbrook about 60 kms away from recorded 80cm (31 inches) of rain in one day. Wind up to 260 km/h (160 mph) when it first crossed the coast on Tuesday. The Gold Coast where my parents live had wind up to 160 km/h on Thursday. Schools closed for 2 days to keep as many people as they could off the road.

I was sent home from work on Thursday at 10am but back at work today. No damage to my place or my families.

Today is ANZAC Day in Australia and New Zealand. In the morning, we will remember them. Lest we forget.
