In 1998, the original premise for the fan film project called Prelude to Hope was created by Devon Read and Ryan Jordan for Clear Concrete Productions. Five years later, in 2003, the project, which by then had brought in several new team members (including Nathan P. Butler, who would later join the fan audio community in a big way), was relaunched as Prelude to Hope 2.0, and several new scripts were written for the project. When the original premise for the new story, based on an outline by Read, was dropped in lieu of a newer, darker approach, Butler began to revise his Prelude to Hope 2.0 script.

The script that had once been intended to appear on-screen as Prelude to Hope 2.0 soon became Star Wars: Nothing Changes. Character names changed, planet locations were shifted, and the premise was shifted slightly forward in time, from just before to just after A New Hope.

The result, Nothing Changes, is an audio drama that stands alone as a tale of three Rebel Alliance operatives in conflict with agents of the Empire, but in a broader scheme, Nothing Changes blends seamlessly into Butler's earlier continuity of Second Strike and the Anthology series, acting as a sort of prelude to the missions to Ferri'sol in Second Strike.

Join us, as a piece of fan film history becomes an audio drama in the Rayzur's Edge Audio tradition.

Nothing Changes is being released as a serialized audio drama, with new, short episodes that expand the story with each release. When the final serialized episode is released, the entire audio drama will be collected into one file for downloading.

Aye, aye. There's a standalone of that promo that Steve made, too. I didn't get it until after ROTO #10 and CR #15.5 were already "in the can," but if NC #2 isn't out before ROTO #11 and CR #16 on August 1, it'll appear in both.

Excellent freakin stuff! Wanted to make sure you got my re-done lines (As well as that phantom line you needed) after I posted em. Having cleared up a microphone problem I was having (a high pitched whine coming back into the sound card cos my speakers were plugged in while I recorded) I re-recorded every one of the lines and felt I got a better read for Skyben done. (Interpreted him as a bit of a soldier type that fancies he's not one in spite of the facts.) Punched up the lines a bit. All that happy crappy. If you didn't get it, is there an FTP that I can upload this file to? Just checking in...

Nope. We'll just sorta build up a library of the various parts, like with the radio shows and such.
