    I agree. I'd put DS9's second.

Another nitpick was the exclusion of Star Trek from the title. Really?
Though they did eventually add it back. I didn't mind the exclusion, and wish they'd stuck to their guns. Enterprise is iconic enough. But, either way, not nearly as important as the quality of the show itself.

Unfortunately, Brannon and Braga didn't step back immediately.
Yes. What could the show have been had Manny Coto been showrunner from the start.

Watched the fourth season of Enterprise on Netflix (Swedish public service never aired it and I haven't caught it on any other channel). Some of the episodes were brilliant! Loved In A Mirror, Darkly, an episode that's both a prequel and sequel and which perfectly tied the series to TOS. Liked the Tholian! The Vulcan story arc were likewise brilliant. That the Vulcans would be skeptical of humans made perfect sense, even though that was an aspect of the show that was criticized.

A few episodes were dreadful such as Storm Front but the worst episode was the last, These Are the Voyages... I understand that the show was cancelled rather abruptly though there had been signs, but Riker and Troi did not belong in that episode! And Trip?! Truly, truly awful!

Absolutely. I think it would have gotten its seven season contract. He knows and understands Trek.

James Frain has been cast as Sarek in the new Star Trek: Discovery series, the third actor to portray Spock's father. It seems also certain that the premiere will be delayed further:

Variety: ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ Delayed Again, Casts James Frain

Enterprise was the only prequel I was interested in. Taking it almost right into the TOS-era...

    Xenophobe. What's a Vulcan face?

IMHO, Frain looks more like Mark Lenard then Ben Cross does.

To me, Vulcans have long, almost drawn faces with high cheekbones. Very serious, stern features. Frain, like Quinto, has a kinda chubby nose and round eyes that just don't say Vulcan to me. And anyone who thinks Frain looks anything like Lenard needs to see an opthalmologist, stat!

Ben Cross has a face for a Vulcan.

EDIT: The announcement on StarTrek.com was more complete and also mentioned that Mary Wiseman has been cast:

I like Isaacs a lot, so that definitely has me more interested. Still not sure how invested I am in paying for CBS All Access.

Not familiar with Mary Wiseman. Is she known for anything in particular?
