OFFICIAL RELEASE: CORUSCANT? AUDIO PARODY PRODUCTION

In the late 1990s, as production began on Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, it was revealed that the upcoming movie would show the planet known as the galactic capital of the Republic.

Star Wars fans had known the name of the planet ever since 1991, when it was first revealed in the epic novel Heir to the Empire. The only question was... how do you pronouce it?

The fans had enough trouble figuring it out. But what if the inhabitants of the Star Wars galaxy themselves... didn't know how to pronounce it? In The Phantom Menace, when Jedi duo Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi attempt to leave the planet Naboo, they get a little... sidetracked.

    A Dramedy Productions Production.

Visit our website at Dramedy Productions.

The final production is approximately 6.5MB and can be downloaded from the Dramedy Productions launch pad or at Star Wars FanWorks.

The teaser can also be downloaded from Dramedy Productions.

Hope everyone enjoys it. I know I had a blast editing it.

It's funny, folks. And this is from a guy who usually doesn't like parodies. Check it out.

So how do you pronounce it? Top effort and pretty funny stuff. I love Obi-wan: "Oh, how I'd love to move your sorry excuse for jedi all over this hanger". Great lines make this a must "listen" fan audio creation and at only 6.22 MB zipped, it is well worth the DL.

I'm looking forward to any sequels. Anyone up for a parody of Broken Allegiance's "Bothawui" scene?

Is THAT what they were trying to say? I thought they made up a new name of a system. I never even considered that they were trying to say they were in the Bothans' home system.

Thanks for the comments stone_mite! I've been in the pre-planning stages for a follow-up sequel for some time now. Once I get something going for a script, I'll be sure to let everyone know.

"Now as master windu would say 'get your motherf(expletive deleted)in ass over there and do it."

Both instant classics in my book.
A fine written piece to be sure.

Any hints to what the follow-up might be?

Well, I am currently trying to decide between two productions. One is dealing with yet another mispronunciation of a Star Wars name. I am sure it would be equally as funny, but different nonetheless. The other is a more serious approach. My username was derived from a fan movie a friend of mine produced, so I thought of possibly telling the backstory of this character and his association with the Jedi and Sith. It'll be interesting either way.
