Awesome. I already have the previous two booms for Star Wars and Empire. Just flat out awesome reads.

Well if those books boomed (exploded) Rolla, I'm sure you were flat out.

I'm looking forward to owning the third in the series.

    Interesting...

Particularly the suggestion that David Lynch was looked at as a director for ROTJ. Or maybe I should say, particularly frightening. Considering the mess he made so many things.

But, frankly, I'd rather they get the book out now, than a synopsis. I don't wanna wait till October!

Yes, I'm eager to read it.

^It's only just over six months left! Apparently, the e-book version will have some bonus content (and the other two OT-"Making of..." books will be released as e-books with bonus content).

Six months is a long, long time...

I could write a book in six months. Maybe two, if they were short. And I didn't get hit with writer's block, or the usual string of calamitous events--a lot can go wrong in six months...but I digress.

Mighty blasters! eBook versions! I'll have to go check if there are preorder versions at Amazon.

Pardon me while I do a little Windows shopping.

EDIT: Just took a look around Amazon, and...though the eBook is listed at the link you posted earlier, Magnus, no joy at Amazon. Which means now I'm gonna have to wait for the eBook preorder while I'm waiting for the hardcover to get here. That's just too much waiting.

Entertainment Weekly has published the cover and five "unseen" photos (I've seen two or before, but the cover looks nifty):

I finished this last week. It took me a while to get into this book compared to the other two "Making Of..." books covering the Original Trilogy despite the fact that it seemed that this book had more pages that were devoted to pictures. One difference with the other two excellent books and which I like about those is that the matte paintings were kept and shown pretty much together while they were more spread out in this one. The misidentified matte painting that from The Making of TESB that covered the pages 296 and 297 which showed the Falcon in the hangar of the Home One (and not in the hangar on Hoth) is shown together with another matte painting on page 306. While the misidentified one was shown in the previous book, it's impossible to make out any details in the tiny (and I mean tiny) picture of the other matte painting.

The story conference transcripts in the beginning of the book was the most interesting part of the book. George Lucas should have looked at those notes when he made ROTS... Overall a good book (but not as good as the other two books).

Got my copy a few weeks ago but not had a chance to give it a proper look yet. But, damn it is gorgeous. Had a bit of a nostalgia trip pouring over the same designs I used to obsess over in my mate's copy of The Art of Return of the Jedi when I was a teenager.
