THE GREAT CLONE WARS FAN FICTION COMPETITION!!! (Now with Prizes!!!)
In celebration of the recent release of the Clones Wars animated film, I have decided in my great wisdom to hold a fan fiction competition! This is because in my opinion there can never be too much Cloneness in the world, partly to give me something to do,partly to try and encourage new writers into the forum and old writers to write some more and mostly because it's just a bloody good idea!

Before I go any further I would like to post a disclaimer. As part of the prizes the winners of 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will each recieve a copy of The Clone Wars novelisation, the author Karen Traviss has kindly sent me a signed bookplate for each one.
It has to be noted though that while Ms Traviss has provided her autographs she is in no way affiliated with this competition in any capacity and will not be reading any of the entries or involved in the judging in anyway. As an LFL author she is not allowed to read or comment on fan based fiction.
So here are the rules;
Story Rules
The stories submitted must be about the Clone wars.
They can be about Jedi, Clones, Sith, Mandalorians, nightclub owners, the little man who sells exotic clothing in downtown Coruscant, your mum, or folks who meet as a Rancor Appreciation Club, anyone in the Star Wars universe etc, etc, but it must be in relation to their place within the Clone Wars in some way. It must affect their lives in some way.
First and third person POV are acceptable.
Very poor grammer and punctuation is not acceptable. I understand that this is not everyone's strong point (god knows it isn't mine) but if this is the case then run it past a beta reader first who can correct any glaring mistakes. If you are unsure about how to find a beta reader or are unsure what one is the PM me.
Stories must be longer than 1200 words.
Collaborative stories are allowed but are restricted to only two authors working on the story.
Karen Traviss is not allowed to be the other author.
Plagerism will result in disqualification, so don't even consider it.
Submission
The winner will be decided by public poll.
The competion entries will be posted anonymously to ensure a fair competition.
All entries should be submitted to me in Word .doc or .rtf format via email at flofett@hotmail.com
they will then be posted without author name into a locked thread for fair viewing.
A discussion thread can be set up so people can leave comments if it is desired. No author is to reveal their story in the thread. Revealing which story is yours will result in withdrawal.
The competition deadline is 11.59pm PST 31st January 2009.
Prizes
There will be prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. They are as follows;
1st prize: Special Ops Clone Trooper Scaled Replica Helmet , by Master Replicas - .45 scale replica Clone trooper helmet painted in the colours of the famous 501st Legion as led by the ever lovely Captain Rex
The McDonald's Happy Meal Clone Wars collection as donated by the magnificent Trilogist (thanks again!), pictures of which can be seen here
And a copy of the novelisation of the Clone Wars movie, written by Karen Traviss, and signed by the author also.
2nd Prize: Star Wars: The Clone Wars Senate Security Action Figure- Debuted at the San Diego Comic-con.

The poll result is final. So no bitching.
