    Default Runaway: Official Discussion

I am excited to announce that TG’s audio-play of Matt Loewen’s Star wars: Runaway will be in Nathan’s hands or rather his mail box by the 12th. I’m doing some finishing touches on the overall production.
Also note many of the actors have changes since the first go around. More info on this can be found in the “Runaway 2.0” thread. The release will also bid farewell to the late Earcandy AP team and will hallmark the 1st development of my new production outfit.

I'll need to know who all has changed. That Runaway 2.0 casting call thread really never said anything about who had new parts, just that you were needing the rest of Lan Shir (mine, which I then sent) and Dooku (Eric Olp). I know that Joe Harrison asked about filling in parts in that thread, but that's about it.

This was the original cast/crew that Matt had listed at one time. Can you fill us in on what has changed?

    Ben Loewen ...... Husband
    Rachel Bizz ....... Wife
    Eric Olp ............ Smuggler/Count Dooku
    Nathan Butler .... Lan Shir/Yoda/Narrator
    Steve Anderson . Restaurant Manager/Ki-Adi-Mundi

    Matt Loewen ...... Director/Writer/Casting
    Steve Fluharty ... Mixer
    Ben Loewen ...... Script Editor

Shortly after my last post, in this thread, I went back to Runaway’s session file (that’s the folder where all the voices, sfx, music, and basically all the blue prints are stored, about 5 gigs worth). Sadly, it turns out that I had mistakenly deleted the entire contents of session file. So began my scramble to dig up an earlier session that I thought I had backed up. After hours of weeding through my hard drive collective and spindle after spindle of junk discs that I keep around just in case. My search was for not. That’s right nothing. So for the past week I’ve been staling my efforts to release Runaway. I hate this to be such a grim letter because there is definitely a very bright light at the end of the tunnel. Luckily I was able to find a ruff mix of Runaway stowed away in my car for testing purposes. Look forward to hearing this in the next few days.

    I'm a little confused.

So, what is it that is going to be released: the original final cut that you decided to go back and revise; a revised final cut like you'd planned; or something somewhere in between?

Strange. I didn't think anyone directly involved in Prelude to Hope was part of this one.

(If you didn't get the curse reference there, pay it no mind. heh)

If you can't, a good idea would be to catch someone on instant messenger who can. Catch either Nathan or myself online, here's my IM handles:

    MSN: leandar_vader@hotmail.com
    AIM: darthleandar
    YIM: darthleandar

I've got access to the Fanworks server and would be glad to upload it for you. I've done it before for Nathan, I can do it again if need be.

Or if this idea doesn't work, go to freewebs.com and upload it there temporarily and then email the link. Nathan or I, (should Nathan be unavailable for whatever reason), could download it from there and then upload it to the server.

And if worse comes to worse, burn it to a CD and then mail the sucker to Nathan. That's how Steve Mollmann got the Star Trek Foundation files to me.

    Hope those ideas help.

Steve: I just figured out why "tempuser" wouldn't work. You need to make that "tempuser@starwarsfanworks.com" then it works perfectly using the password and ftp address I gave you. Try that and it should work.
