C4: LA - May 24-28, 2007 - Did you attend?

I've heard from several sources - but who knows? that it's to be Las Vegas next year. Also asked them if Rick would be revealing anything when he's a guest at Disneyworld this summer -
their response: Rick never knows anything!

I think having it in Indy again would keep a lot of people away. Since it snowed last time.

Wherever it will be, it will be a place that is somewhat affordable, has a large convention center, and plenty of hotel space.

So that means it will probably be in one of these places, logically:

Las Vegas - The only bad thing with Vegas is that it's a lil crowded already. I'm sure if you checked you could see who has their convention center rented out. From what I hear it's rented out a couple years in advance.

San Diego - Same story as Vegas.

Indy - Honestly this is probably the best deal for Lucasfilm, and it's cheap for everyone else too. I honestly didn't think it was that bad, although being a midwesterner, I am used to the quick change of weather.

Other places that could be used but I don't see it happening:

New Orleans - Lots of hotel space in their downtown (wayyyyy more than Indy) plus a giant convention center. Although after Katrina I doubt it would be a good place to hold any conventions.

Memphis - Same type of deal as Indy, and a pretty central location in the US. Also, they have a great nightlife there. Think of it as New Orleans lite.

I don't see it being placed in a huge city though. It's much cheaper to do it in a smaller city. It saves everybody money in the long run. Such as with cheaper hotels and cheaper for them to rent out a large space to have the convention.

Oh well, wherever it may be I will be there.

I didn't think the weather was that bad. My only complaint is that it wasn't what was forecasted (not even close), so I didn't pack for that kind of weather. I'll bet I wasn't the only one who caught a cold.
