The brand new series by Andrew Bettis has now premiered! Discuss the series here.

(A word from the creator is coming very soon.)

Whats up everybody, thanks Nathan for putting up the thread.

So yeah, the first show is out and ready for download, hope you all enjoy it! I'd love to hear some feedback, good or bad, as this is new territory for me, but I'm having a grand ole time doing it.

Episode I: "A New Breed"
In this premiere episode, the pre-movie hyping of Lucas' "new breed" of prequel villains (Maul, Jango, Grievous) is explored, as we focus on how each character lived up to their hype and what impression each character left on the fan community, in terms of both their character depth and development.

Thanks to all, and Happy Holidays!

Hey Andrew, Here are my thoughts...

Content: As for the content I don't have negatives. Good show in the same tracks than chronoradio. Interesting to have misc news outside the SW realm.

Sound quality: there seems to be a slight echo most of the time,.. and, after Nathan segment, no echo but a background noise. This happened another time during the show. From my experience, I think the echo was the result of the background noise filtering you probably did. We have the same problem for our show.

Music Break: Even If i like the songs you've played. I don't think its necessary for a pre-recorded show. The purpose of those for SWD was to give us a breather during the live show or contact a guest on the phone. Most of the listeners usually fastforward throught those part.

Finally, thanks for the SWD promo and keep up the good work.

P.S. Contact studio@swendirect.com, Seb will probably be interested to mention your show tomorrow. Mention that Dany has suggested that you contact him.

Thanks, Dany, yeah that middle chunk of my anaylsis of Jango turned out ugly with that background noise. Don't know quite what it was, but I'll keep an eye out for that. As for the music, I just thought they were both exceptional pieces of work that would appeal to many people around my age--especially the last one, and wanted to throw them in--however, I also have heard from a friend of mine out in Cali that he fast forwarded through them too, so I may rethink that.

Thanks for the critique, and for your help!

Cheers, my friend--

Loved the show! Just one little quip: I didn't get to hear your opinions enough. What I heard, and remembered, was Ryan (I think that was his name) and Nathan. Not enough Andrew.
Well, that just my opinion.

Coolness, I thought I may have said too much in my Grievous rant, but now listening back again, I see what you mean. I'll work hard on that for next episode, thanks for bringing that up, and thanks for listening!

Alright, guys, I know I just released Episode I a few days back, but I'm working on a SE that I can hopefully get out by mid-January, and I need a few guests for it.

The show will be centering on the negative Fan and Critic responses to TPM and AOTC, and why they are regarded by so many as disappointments. I'm looking for both ends of the spectrum on each movie, and here's who I've booked so far, if you're interested, lemme know, we'd prolly be recording as early as next week, I can go speakerphone, AIM Talk, Google Talk, or you can pre-record, whatever's easiest for you:

TPM:
Good Cop (Movie was good): Robbie Chastain
Bad Cop (Movie sucked): Open

AOTC:
Good Cop: Nathan Butler
Bad Cop: Open

So, I need some bad cops...perhaps the Star Wars FM guys to lend their opinion with one of their famous scathing reviews? Just a thought...

Cheers, Thanks, and Happy Holidays all--
Andrew

Man, I hated AOTC. Everything that has to do with the Clone Wars rocked, but Ep 2 itself SUCKED! (OK Nathan, shoot me now.)

Ahem.

So, I am willing to do that segment if you would like.
