Today (or rather tomorrow on my part), Star Trek: Discovery continues on Netflix.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
Emilia Clarke's character name os Qi'Ra was confirmed as images of new lego sets have been released. The sets also confirm the following film locations of Kessel (along with Kessel Run), Corellia and Death Star. Maybe IMDB actors can't say Death Star yet so used Mud Trooper. The Death Star?! :shock...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
I couldn't agree more with the posts about the poor quality of the new books. I hated the Aftermath books. I thought Tarkin was quite good. Currently reading Phasma and I'm struggling to keep going. I don't know what it is with the present-tense, simplistic style but I do not like it. I also agree ...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
I've quite frankly never seen Abrams concluding much of anything. He opens up his mystery box whose content can be interpreted any which way, but he never closes it. And I think you're quite right: As I wrote after first having watched the movie, I felt as if Johnson didn't like some of Abrams's id...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
In my opinion this was the weakest plot of the SW movies. While Johnson tried to echo The Empire Strikes Back with the Raddus in place of the Falcon , I think it failed completely and felt to me as a boring version of the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica pilot 33 (in which the plot made more sense ...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
I finally had a chance to see the film for a second time. I still prefer this film to TFA. Things I liked: 1. Porgs 2. Carrie's performance 3. Rey's character development 4. Rose 5. Chewie 6. The score 7. The amount of battle scenes 8. Kylo being duped by Luke's battle appearance. Oh, the Porgs... ...

NON-FICTION: The Art of Star Wars: The Last Jedi
I ordered this, together with The Art of Star Wars : Rogue One, the other day. While I'm not much of a fan of the movie, I always think it's interesting to follow the creative process. And this book also contains a few examples of artwork that George Lucas approved for Episode VII when he was still ...

Re: Spoilers: So what is the situation in the galaxy?
I feel like their goal of "rule to galaxy" is pretty well-stated throughout both movies, up to and including the point in which they blow up an entire star system in order to take out the Republic all at once [/b]. As far as rushing past the concept of an entire star system being wiped ou...

Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
While I don't think that Lucas had everything planned out (making Leia into Luke's sister sure wasn't thought out until ROTJ), I still think that he tied the movies within the Original Trilogy quite well. The Prequels lacks somewhat in execution, but storywise it's good and ties in well with the OT....

Re: Last Movie Watched
The last movie I saw is still The Last Jedi . In short, I didn't like it very much. Strange character choices, awful plot, stupidities, disjointed, doesn't mesh with TFA, some of the worst alien designs and animatronics of Star Wars, terrible so-called "humor"and changing the rules. But it...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
Is anyone else actually pissed about this movie? It was garbage in my opinion. The whole movie was about the fleet running out of gas, and Admiral Purple-Hair whatsherface's plan was apparently, "let's just let everyone else get lit up and maybe we'll make it." All Luke did was act like a...

Re: Spoilers: So what is the situation in the galaxy?
Thanks to the incredibly poor worldbuilding in TFA and TLJ we know next to nothing. The galaxy just seem to have rolled over to the FO that somehow have enough forces to subdue the entire galaxy (I'm not buying the crapiola from Battlefront 2 that mentions "thousands" of stormtroopers whic...

Does that mean that it was good? Unfortunately no. I don't want to influence anyone's opinion before they see it, or bring them down, but no. I really really didn't like it. I can't say that about any of the other movies.
