Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Bought my copy of the film yesterday. The store I went to mentioned that another retailer had broke the embargo (three days earlier than release date) so they were now permitted to sell them.

Re: Top 10 Twitter accounts for all your Star Wars News.

I use websites more than twitter for my SW news as they give more info in each post. You've listed some of their twitter accounts. Twitter uses links to the websites posts.

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Mags Dont you mean ST and not PT? I dislike the lack of use of R2 and C3PO but I think this has to do with the writers not knowing what to do. The writers kept the big three apart in Ep8 so we missed seeing their chemistry together. Due to age and his health, they kept Kenny Baker out of the suit so...

Re: Rian Johnson will create a new Star Wars Trilogy

It would probably be in development stage as there is still 3 films to be released. They are "Solo" then "Episode 9" and finally the last of the standalone films originally announced few years back.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Having seen the full 1:43 teaser trailer on the OS, I'm a little concerned. There's not much plot points to peak interest. All it shows is Han's skill as a pilot / speeder driver. It gave me the feel of a "Fast and Furious" trailer and I've never been impressed with the story line of those...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

I know Mags you addressed the points to Yoda and your last post says what I was feeling better than I did. Both you and Borgmatrix use my comment to first discuss the physical appearance of Yoda as being my issue. I felt that my comment may have been misunderstood. This is why I posted the clarifica...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

When I said Yoda's appearance, I meant that he was in the film. I did think he looked slightly off but that was never my big issue with him. I wonder if the mould had been affected by age for it to change the look of the puppet.

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

I'm not completely sure what you're getting at here, so maybe you could clarify it for me? I think the dialogue between Yoda and Luke regarding the texts was just the larger idea that texts aren't everything. There's practical experience and real experience that can mean more than just dry studying...

Jedidad It Mimbam might be a typo as a couple of websites described the planet was originally featured in Splinters.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

There are three planets confirmed and they are Corellia, Kessel and Mimbam. Corellia is of course Han's home world and Kessel for the destination of the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs. Mimbam is where the Imperial staff will have Death Star style clothing. Ron Howard has been teasing that there ...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

I watched TLJ again today. Luke has several levels. On the surface, he does appear broken. Luke does test Rey's desire to become a jedi. Seeing how strong she was in the Force was very similar to Yoda in ESB. Yoda wasn't going to train Luke and only agreed after Obi Wan convinced him. Luke's strengt...

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Maybe we don't see it but a squadron are being posted to it. A DS style weapon has been seen in Ep 2 (as plans), Ep 3 (being constructed), Rogue One, Ep 4, Ep 6 (DS 2), Ep 7 (Starkiller base is very DS like but a planet). I would prefer LFL stop using it but then reality shows that militaries will c...

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Considering they held Wedge out of the Battle of Scariff scene for Rogue One because he says "Whoa, look at the size of that thing!" in ANH, I doubt we will see any of the Death Star in the Solo movie. Two things I hope to see: Han rescuing Chewie and going awol from the Academy, and the ...

Emilia Clarke's character name os Qi'Ra was confirmed as images of new lego sets have been released.

The sets also confirm the following film locations of Kessel (along with Kessel Run), Corellia and Death Star.

Maybe IMDB actors can't say Death Star yet so used Mud Trooper.

Re: Rian Johnson will create a new Star Wars Trilogy

Thrawn has already been changed as he is now in the TV series SW Rebels. Zahn has already wrote one new novel changing Thrawn's past and a second is to be released. The old trilogy is now part of the "Legends" and not canon. The new novels and Thrawn appearance in Rebels are canon. I won't...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

I finally had a chance to see the film for a second time. I still prefer this film to TFA. Things I liked: 1. Porgs 2. Carrie's performance 3. Rey's character development 4. Rose 5. Chewie 6. The score 7. The amount of battle scenes 8. Kylo being duped by Luke's battle appearance. I can accept: 1. L...

Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Javen, George did have a plan for what was happening after ANH as the his first script was too large so he split it. This doesn't mean he didn't revise some of the story has he wrote the scripts for ESB and ROTJ. He also wrote a back story as an outline so he knew where his characters came from. ANH...

I prefer to see this one more than TFA. I need to see it again to decide where in the order I like it. It's more complex than AOTC.

Some things I like, but others are hard to describe how they make me feel.

True but the OS has been referring to it as Solo: A Star Wars Story for months now just with untitled in front of it. That was why I found it disappointing. They should have just announced it months ago.

The official title for the film has been announced and it's the unimaginative "Solo: A Star Wars Story".

I've changed the thread name to match.
