Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (NO SPOILERS)

The official title for the film has been announced and it's the unimaginative "Solo: A Star Wars Story".

I've changed the thread name to match.

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

This is what I think will have happened at the end of TLJ in broad strokes: Rey will have turned to the Dark Side and joined Snoke (I believe Snoke's words in the beginning of the trailer actually are aimed at Rey, not Kylo) while Kylo will have returned from it, possibly following the death of Lei...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

I thought the trailer was ok but not great. To me. it appears to be cut together to deceive and give illusions of characters talking to each other when they aren't. Rey is being tortured by Snoke in a way that doesn't appear to be training, even though pain leads to the dark side. Amazed that Finn i...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Looking at that pic, it looks like it folds out (on all sides) from a circular shape. The inside looks like all Imperial / 1st Order large ships / planet killers.

Does this mean it is another Starkiller base, so keeps in the tradition of the rebuilding, what is destroyed in the 1st of the trilogy?

I'm waiting to find out the Porg's twist. Everyone thinks of Ewoks as cute but they are vicious. Ewoks had planned to cook and eat Han, Luke and Chewie. I like Ewoks.

Porgs look cute and sound a little like turkeys mixed with penguins.

Re: General Discussion Stand-Alones

Considering other movie franchises (Marvel & DC) these days are releasing more than one movie in a year, LFL isn't milking the cow excessively. I think Disney are scared of new stories as the sequels perceived as a poorer product to the OT. A rehash of ANH (TFA) broke records so this assures Dis...

Re: Untitled Obi-Wan Kenobi

It's funny how some media outlets are stating it's official when it isn't yet. The media are speculating about what it will be about. The Hollywood Reporter article mentions there is no script so what the story is about is still open. I question the origins theory as we already see Obi Wan as a pada...

Re: General Discussion Stand-Alones

Of course they are milking the cow. They paid $4 billion for the cow and it is expected to produce milk. It's like buying the golden goose and not expecting to being able to sell the eggs. James Bond is up to 24 movies (26 with unofficials) and people still go and see them. Disney demands a return o...

Re: "EVERYTHING THAT HAS TRANSPIRED HAS DONE SO ACCORDING TO MY DESIGN" ...even the Rebel Alliance?

I feel that Palpatine had two separate events. His plan to take control up to the end of the Clone Wars. Then a separate plan when trying to destroy the Rebel Alliance (ie a plan to lure the Rebels to their death). The movies had Palpatine as xenophobic as there was no aliens controlling his miltary...

I reckon it gives the posters look more impact and menacing as you can't see their eyes. Alternatively they just need a new photographer as all shots had the eyes cut off.

At the D23 expo, Disney released behind the scenes footage of "The Last Jedi". You see many new creatures. Love the line on what must be the last take. It's both nice and sad as you see Carrie.

Mags, I wonder if it is an alternative fact. They had to know who Rey & Finn's parents are. Why Luke went to the first Jedi temple?

Alternatively they fact they basically rehashed ANH and called it TFA would show no vision.

Did Rian flick through GL's vision for the ST for insight for Ep 8?

Not sure what happened to Wedge, Ewan may have had prior engagements. As for Natalie, she hates Star Wars. She claims it almost ruined her career. Considering Natalie Portman only had a child recently I didn't expect her to be there. As I mentioned earlier, Denis Lawson aka Wedge was there. Here is...
