Fan Fiction: Recursion of the Force

Okay, a short fan-fic, which is...I'm not exactly sure what. No matter the title, I guarantee it contains no spoilers whatsoever. So worry not. (For those who make it that far, there will be a few additional remarks after the story.) Submitted for your perusal: REVISED (slightly) 20 October 2019. St...

Re: Star Trek - From TOS to Discovery and Beyond

;) Heck, they'd probably make me as happy if they dispensed with the human characters and made the programs about the ships with artificial intelligences operating them serving as the characters. Make Bill Shatner the voice of Enterprise 's machine mind. That sounds more interesting that what we've...

Re: What SW are you looking forward the most 2019?

I'm not entirely sure which line is the Vintage (isn't there more than one Hasbro 3.75" line at the moment?), but I think I have that figure in the 6" Black Series. It sounds like the line where they re-release past figures. I don't want to pay $80+ for the previous release, so I'm lookin...

Senators, and posts, seem to be a bit sparse. My guess, and it's not much more than that, on the sh...

The poll says "Star Wars Products," so I'm going with the new 8" Darth Vader Black Series Action Figure from Hasbro. I'm waiting for the 3.75" vintage Revan. Just added Kylo Ren in that size, have him standing near "Grandfather": 53580545_721417514919408_61629939276085...

The Walking Dead. Anyone else tuning in these days? It strikes me more as Dead on It's Feet at this point, but last night was a wee bit better than the average for the season.

Hello! How about this for an idea: The origins of spontaneous graviton bursts from unstable regions of hyperspace associated with neutron stars. Bear in mind, this is high-grade technobabble--i.e., a conglomeration of buzzwords slapped together right off the top of my head. Feel free to use it if yo...

The TV stuff doesn't grab me; the prospect of E IX fills me with dread...or revulsion, depending on whether I'm feeling optimistic or pessimistic at the time.

If you search for an application called ShowBox you can watch it on there Thanks. I've got a few more weeks on my free month of All Access, so for now I'm good. I'll gauge whether I want to continue with Discovery after a couple more episodes. So I watched the first episode of season 2 last night w...

Kong: Skull Island. Not as bad as I was expecting. In fact, more entertaining than The Last Jedi. Much more. Nonsensical, to be sure, but entertaining enough for a diversion while preparing and eating dinner.

Colossus , by D. F. Jones. A moldy oldie from 1966. It never gives any specific date indications in the course of 220+ pages, but hints at events taking place round the turn of the century--that is, the 20th becoming the 21st. It tells the story of a runaway supercomputer--well, two of them really-...

Saw the film Tuesday afternoon, as soon as I could clear time to spin the disc. I have six or seven pages of notes I'm working up into a proper post for the proper thread. If anyone is interested. If not, well, that's cool, too. 6-7 pages?!?!? Eagerly awaiting your essay. I think it should arrive s...

The Last Jedi . D (and then I'm generous). Generous? You have a gift for understatement... The last film I watched was (part) of The Conjuring 2 , which was just a little too stupid to finish. I don't usually laugh during horror movies, but this one was a laugh a minute. The Warrens... Ugh. And the...

Fear the Walking Dead , Season 4.1, the much-hyped Morgan Jones crossover from The Walking Dead . Okay, actually, the last show I watched was Talking Dead after this one, but this was the last fiction I watched. Underwhelmed, I was. That's still an improvement over my (dis)satisfaction with the thr...

Prometheus. Yes, that one. It's a mess, but it makes good mealtime viewing. And it's way better than that awful "sequel."
