Re: Star Trek - From TOS to Discovery and Beyond

Watched the first two episodes of Discovery last night. I enjoyed them. Probably not going to pay for the terrible CBS All Access service for it but will look for other ways to purchase it in the future. As a filthy casual fan of Trek I felt Discovery got off to a good start. It seems that most of t...

Porgs are God's gift to Humanity. The only pure and positive light in an otherwise dark and horrifying world. Don't tell me. Let me guess. You're being held at Skywalker Ranch and they're forcing you to post that, right? Or your account has been hacked, right? RIght? The entire universe can't have ...

I mean, he's still a better choice than Michael Bay or even Trevorrow, but still.... It's frustrating because everything they've done since Force Awakens screams of circling the wagons. They hire all these young up and comers for a new perspective, then for whatever reason they're let go and "r...

Alien: Covenant - B

The dumb people are a little less dumb then they were in Prometheus. Not the best of the franchise, but far from the worst. I am biased because I was mostly just happy to see a xenomorph again.

IT (2017) - B
I enjoyed it. Not really scary per se but that's not exactly the point of the story. Kids were all good and meshed well together. Pennywise was good - very different from the Tim Curry version which was to be expected.

Looking forward to the sequel to finish out the story.

Guess who hasn't watched their Prequel Blu-Rays at all

Yes, it was the '88 Writers Guild of America strike. The episode The Child in which Troi got pregnant with a child that developed at an advanced rate was adapted from a Phase II script. That episode was AWFUL. Almost threw me off the whole series! I've been watching a series called FORTITUDE on Ama...

That's just a coincidence, right? A playset that just happens to resemble the Death Star...: CelebLiveTV The top section looks more like the bridge of a Star Destroyer than a Death Star. That also lines up with rumors that Snoke has the First Order version of a Super Star Destroyer as his flagship.

Finally finished Enterprise. I really enjoyed it and don't understand why it's so maligned.

Outside of both awful versions of the theme song, the only thing I disliked is that they didn't give Archer his big speech at the end.
