Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Ok last night Hera pulled a similar move in her X wing on SWR...basically an engine stall neutral drop in space. All I’m seeing is a lot of people who are FAR more skilled pilots than Luke. I can see why he’s become a hermit! He’s drowning in self doubt! He couldnt keep an astromech droid from escap...

Re: Rian Johnson will create a new Star Wars Trilogy

As writer-director of The Last Jedi, Johnson conceived and realized a powerful film of which Lucasfilm and Disney are immensely proud. In shepherding this new trilogy, which is separate from the episodic Skywalker saga, Johnson will introduce new characters from a corner of the galaxy that Star War...

Re: Rian Johnson will create a new Star Wars Trilogy

I also saw this news yesterday! Very excited about this news. I won’t lie I was saddened to hear Rian wasn’t directing IX because of all the positivity coming from Lucasfilm during and after wrapping the production of TLJ. Now we don’t know how TLJ will actually be for a little over a month (that’s ...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

I like to believe Kylo is too conflicted about everything to go full dark side. I don't think he's strong enough to kill Leia, or to allow her to be killed, and her death will push him back to the light side. I would even hypothesize that Snoke orders Kylo to kill Leia, Kylo refuses, Snoke does it ...

Re: Star Wars Rebels

Season 4 kicked off here in the States yesterday, I enjoyed it. Gonna try and stay as spoiler free as possible.... I found Ezra’s antics just slightly less annoying than Jar Jar. The sexual tension between Kanan and Hera is over 9000!!! Gar Saxon’s brother said Palpatine....I don’t think the Emperor...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

I’d be surprised if this trilogy remains so black and white, Kylo is bad , Rey is good. I think it’s clear Kylo is struggling with his life choices at this point. Now if Luke refuses to train Rey that will be the second time she’s been abandoned in her life....I think that will leave scars no one ca...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Initial feelings after 2 views so far porgs are the new Ewoks, the trailer is cleverly spliced to make it look like Rey is talking to Kylo at the end. Luke is scared of Rey??? Gorilla Walkers....meh Where’s Lando! Is Chewie using ancient Bothan pearl cream? he looks younger than in TFA! Wow Rey stil...

They should've held onto that decision until after TLJ released. If VIII gets high positive feedback, then give it to Rian Johnson.

Re: Han Solo: A Star Wars Story (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

While I think it's good that Ron Howard is onboard, I think this movie is a bad idea. I don't want to see a 'young Han Solo' movie. There's a whole universe to explore, why so afraid of stepping out of familiar grounds a little? Anyway, according to The Hollywood Reporter , Lucasfilm isn't very hap...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

The dark jedi concept is silly. No thanks. I agree just dropping this character in and saying he's a "dark Jedi" would confuse the casual viewer, but if it does turn out that he's Ezra....which isn't ruled out yet, that would be a great "bridge" from pre OT to ST. Pun intended.

The Next Animated Star Wars series Star Wars Resistance

We know Star Wars Rebels is headed into it's 4th and final season, so what's next? And when? The more I think about it the less I want it to take place post episode VI, Filoni could have a golden opportunity to "bridge" the PT to the OT and also the ST! I'm about 90% certain Thrawn will su...

Kubo and the Two Strings, beautiful story with a refreshing art direction, full of emotion that brought out the feels. My son wasn't feeling it till the end and then he wanted to watch it again immediately afterwards. A bit predictable for me but I'm not the target audience.
