It's rumored that Billy Dee Williams will reprise his role as Lando Calrissian in Episode IX: Fanthatracks
I do hope that to be true. I guess we'll know soon enough as filming is set to start next month.

Re: Benioff and Weiss to Create Series of Star Wars Movies
So we are getting two stand alone trilogies? Yes we are. Hmmm. I wonder if the folks at Disney have ever heard the phrase: "Brand fatigue". I agree with Pep, as long as the quality as good but I do feel a bit worried... Anyway, there's a rumor that Tom Kane (who is best known for having v...

Re: Untitled Obi-Wan Kenobi
Ewan McGregor was spotted on the Solo red carpet. Rumors are spreading the Kenobi film will commence shooting in January 2019 for a 2020 release. And is it the expectation it'll likely be Ewan in the role? I know its seems like a no-brainer, but I'm worried about them going with someone else. With ...

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
I watch Collider alot and their reviews linger on words like: "fun", "forgettable, "good"....but read between the lines and these are not selling me on seeing this. https://youtu.be/pwj_SZHqiSc It opens here in Sweden today and it's the first SW movie I'm not eager to watch...

Re: Rian Johnson will create a new Star Wars Trilogy
I also saw this news yesterday! Very excited about this news. I won’t lie I was saddened to hear Rian wasn’t directing IX because of all the positivity coming from Lucasfilm during and after wrapping the production of TLJ. Now we don’t know how TLJ will actually be for a little over a month (that’s...

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
One week out from Aussie release and my friend and I are still the only tickets sold in the session we booked. I go Gold Class which is recliner chairs and only 38 seats in the cinema. This time for TLJ the cinema was fully booked out. So Mags you aren't the only Star Wars fan not interested in see...

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
Not to be a downer, but I will probably not watch this in theater. I'm not very interested in this film with the square-faced guy playing what based on its trailers and TV-spots seems to be a generic "bad boy" in a generic and formulaic plot. The "190-years old" line from the tra...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
The Last Jedi was released on Blu-Ray last Monday. I posted this elsewhere, and I was a bit hesitant to repost it here, but these are some of my beefs and nitpicks with the movie (I've consolidated it and added a few things). I haven't gone out of my way to find things to complain about, but I comp...

Re: Untitled Obi-Wan Kenobi
Early in Disney's announcement they were having 3 stand alone movies and now they have 6 in development. Since Solo is just over a month away, there has been little talk of what the last of the originals stand alone. I wonder if this idea for a Obi Wan has been abandoned by Disney or if it is being...

Saw the film Tuesday afternoon, as soon as I could clear time to spin the disc. I have six or seven pages of notes I'm working up into a proper post for the proper thread. If anyone is interested. If not, well, that's cool, too. 6-7 pages?!?!? Eagerly awaiting your essay. I think it should arrive s...

Benioff and Weiss to Create Series of Star Wars Movies
This went COMPLETELY below my radar... The creators of the television version of Game of Thrones , David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, are to write and produce a series of Star Wars movies separate from the Saga movies and the trilogy that Rian Johnson is going to create. Lucasfilm's press release on the ...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
One thing TLJ (and also TFA) proves is that masks puppetry isn't always better than CG: The Canto Bight scene features the worst masks and puppetry ever shown in a Star Wars movie... Heck, some of the designs are more in line with Men in Black than Star Wars.

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)
I bought it on Wednesday here in the states and I haven't felt an urgency to watch the film itself, which I found very strange, considering I only saw it once in theaters and knew it required multiple viewings for me to get a real good handle on it. That bothers me....hell, I watched the extremely ...
