Sticky: Re: Survey: What's the Last Flick You Watched? Rate it!

Looking forward to seeing Guardians of the Galaxy at some point, though Ninja Turtles is likely up next.

Saw Dawn of the Planet of the Apes a couple nights ago. 3.5/4 stars. Really liking this...

Yeah, I've often thought every post should be some variation on, "I'm sitting at computer typing this post." Which I am, while waiting for a meeting to start in 15 minutes.

    Re: MOVIES: Godfather Saga

Looking at Michael in GF1 before he joined the Family, compared to after, there's no doubt the mob lifestyle was playing a massive role. But taking Prozac wasn't going to make Kay any more open to...

    Re: MOVIES: Ghostbusters

My only concern is whether this project being greenlit could lead to cancellation of Aykroyd's continuation. That I'd hate to see.

But, assuming that doesn't happen, I'd say why not. Would love...
  6. Re: THE SEQUEL TRILOGY - EPISODE VII *Use spoiler tags for spoilers!*

^ Nice post. And thanks. Haven't been following all the news/rumors, so nice to see the various creative threads in one, coherent post.

I'm still debating how much I want to continue to follow...
  7. Re: THE SEQUEL TRILOGY - EPISODE VII *Use spoiler tags for spoilers!*

I think that site had referenced suits, plural. I realize with something like, for instance, Batman, there'd be multiple suits made for the actor. But could we be looking at multiple suits of armor...

    I don't know.

Actually, has me feeling like watching GFI again. Watched part II recently, and I continue to favor it as my favorite of the trilogy. But part I is brilliant, too, so...

Your thoughts seem to confirm what I felt when I saw the trailer. The supreme powers she gained seemed too over-the-top, and killed my interest in seeing it. Johansson doesn't do it for me, either.

  14. Re: Did Palpatine throw the fight against Windu/let Windu win?

I'm going to go back to my point about this not being a straight fight. Palpatine has other agendas that don't include Mace dying until Anakin's there. And so, again, his defense has to hold up,...
  15. Re: Did Palpatine throw the fight against Windu/let Windu win?

Well, again, his defense had to be for real or Mace would have slaughtered him. And with Palpatine not going on the offensive (as he was waiting for Anakin's arrival), yeah, it's going to be tough...

  22. Re: Did Palpatine throw the fight against Windu/let Windu win?

Yeah, I've never seen it as a defeat, more of a draw. The fight only ended because time was essentially up with stormtroopers approaching for Sidious, so the opportunity to end the Sith Lord's reign...
  23. Re: Did Palpatine throw the fight against Windu/let Windu win?

I've always loved this topic. I agree with you.
