The Devil Knows My Name - John 5
A few choice episodes of HunterXHunter. I really wish Netflix had the rest of the show.
Knocked out a few things on my To Do list before I head out for the west coast.
Ran approximately 5 miles.
Eh, that's lame.
I'm thinking about whether or not it is wise to hike in Arizona during this time of year.
Forest - Ocean Versus Daughter
Start your engines!
Microwaved green bean casserole.
I'm thinking about going for a run. Ran four miles this morning... what's another 3 to 7 miles?
Finally worked around some of the computer problems I've had at work and got some stuff done.
Took the longest two hour nap of my entire life. It was glorious.
I'm probably going to go with an Xbox One. Most of the people that I play with are going that route and I love me some Halo.
Put my best foot forward and felt like I did decent, but I guess I'm not what Civil Affairs wants. Not sure what disqualified me since I received zero feedback, but I have a couple ideas.
I'm heading to North Carolina next week for roughly a week and a half of testing and whatnot. Then I'll find out if they deem me suitable for training or not.
The Tale of the Princess Kaguya - 4.5/5
Interesting art/animation style, fantastic music, and a pretty tragic story. If you're looking for a sad Studio Ghibli film that isn't quite as brutal as...
Xbox 360. Haven't gotten around to upgrading to the next gen yet.
Civil Affairs, which serves as a middle ground of sorts between the military and the civilian population of whatever area they happen to be in. It's one of those hearts and minds kind of jobs.
I just powered through Tomb Raider (considering it was a free download, why not?) and really enjoyed it. Other than that, I've been playing Destiny and cursing Xur for not having Red Death available...
Sarlacc or Rancor?
I've been doing a little bit of everything lately and managing to stay relatively injury free save for the occasional twinge when I go a little bit past where I should. Fortunately my recovery times...
Eat & Run: My Unlikely Journey to Ultramarathon Greatness - Scott Jurek
This is my second reading of this book and I'm enjoying it just as much as I did the first time.
I have a job interview of sorts in roughly a week and a half. If it works out I'll be doing something completely different from what I'm doing now by the end of the summer. I've been looking for a...
A flash fic prompt could be fun, although I can't say I'd be able to take part. I haven't wrote anything of note in well over a year, Star Wars themed or otherwise.
^ So, how did it go?
Started the process of training up for the Bataan Memorial Death March again. I'm hoping taking six months to train will be enough time for the new guys on the team to get...
I've been making a point to stretch a lot the last couple days and it's really helped with my knee. That being said, I went on a little 25 minute jog in the rain tonight with no pain whatsoever. It...
A Shiner Bock. The second one is well on its way.
Jack, you could try what I suggested to Master Kinnon awhile ago. Find a cheap 5K run/walk and just sign up for it. Might help you get out and about, if only to make sure you get your money out of...
^ If you can do it once, you can do it again.
Ran around 5.75 miles this morning with a quick scenery break at the halfway point.
Mandatory Fun by "Weird Al" Yankovic
Halo of Blood by Children of Bodom
All the Way to Berlin: A Paratrooper at War in Europe by James Megellas
Mud, Sweat, and Tears by Bear...
Blood on the Risers: An Airborne Soldier's Thirty Five Months in Vietnam by John Leppelman
A very gritty and down to earth story that often made me stop and think. It's incredible that Leppelman...
Sharknado 2: The Second One
I love a ridiculous movie. This film was everything I had hoped for and more. 5/5 on the bad movie scale.
Plain old tacos from Taco Bell.
Waiting for the Destiny Beta to download.
To start my 4th of July out right, I ran 10.5 miles. Knee still hurts, but for better or for worse I gutted through it.
Sent: Alive and well?
Beer. A Leffe Brown, to be specific.
Trying to get back into the swing of things, but my left knee has been giving me some grief. Running seems to aggravate it the most, so I've been taking it fairly easy on that front while...
Gotta go with Mr Fett.
Stormtrooper helmet or clone trooper helmet?
...sauerkraut, I suppose.
Canned tuna or SPAM?
