Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

One week out from Aussie release and my friend and I are still the only tickets sold in the session we booked. I go Gold Class which is recliner chairs and only 38 seats in the cinema. This time for TLJ the cinema was fully booked out. So Mags you aren't the only Star Wars fan not interested in seei...

Re: The Next Animated Star Wars series Star Wars Resistance

The OS has announced the next series: Star Wars Resistance. It will take place prior to events in TFA. Characters known to feature are Poe Dameron, Captain Phasma and BB8. Oscar Isaac and Gwendoline Christie will voice their characters. Dave Filoni said the idea came out of his interest in WW2 aircr...

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Alden may be signed for 3 films but that doesn't meant he will be the lead in the next two. The films could focus on another character and Solo be a supporting character.

Re: Untitled Obi-Wan Kenobi

Early in Disney's announcement they were having 3 stand alone movies and now they have 6 in development. Since Solo is just over a month away, there has been little talk of what the last of the originals stand alone. I wonder if this idea for a Obi Wan has been abandoned by Disney or if it is being ...

Re: Benioff and Weiss to Create Series of Star Wars Movies

Yeah it wasn't a big announcement and overshadowed by the fact Benioff and Weiss are also creating five new pilots for Game of Thrones spin offs.

Makes me wonder with so much on their plate, how much time will they have to develop this SW project.

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Mags, Disney will currently be happy with her performance Mags as bot Ep 7 & 8 have been box office successes. The test will be ep 9 which won't feature the big 3 in any significant role (I suspect that Luke's ghost will make an appearance). I've watched TFA and R1 several time the latter more than ...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Mags Dont you mean ST and not PT? I dislike the lack of use of R2 and C3PO but I think this has to do with the writers not knowing what to do. The writers kept the big three apart in Ep8 so we missed seeing their chemistry together. Due to age and his health, they kept Kenny Baker out of the suit so...

It would probably be in development stage as there is still 3 films to be released. They are "Solo" then "Episode 9" and finally the last of the standalone films originally announced few years back.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Having seen the full 1:43 teaser trailer on the OS, I'm a little concerned. There's not much plot points to peak interest. All it shows is Han's skill as a pilot / speeder driver. It gave me the feel of a "Fast and Furious" trailer and I've never been impressed with the story line of those movies. T...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

When I said Yoda's appearance, I meant that he was in the film. I did think he looked slightly off but that was never my big issue with him. I wonder if the mould had been affected by age for it to change the look of the puppet.

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

I'm not completely sure what you're getting at here, so maybe you could clarify it for me? I think the dialogue between Yoda and Luke regarding the texts was just the larger idea that texts aren't everything. There's practical experience and real experience that can mean more than just dry studying...

Mimbam is where the Imperial staff will have Death Star style clothing. Ron Howard has been teasing that there ...

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

I watched TLJ again today. Luke has several levels. On the surface, he does appear broken. Luke does test Rey's desire to become a jedi. Seeing how strong she was in the Force was very similar to Yoda in ESB. Yoda wasn't going to train Luke and only agreed after Obi Wan convinced him. Luke's strengt...

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Maybe we don't see it but a squadron are being posted to it. A DS style weapon has been seen in Ep 2 (as plans), Ep 3 (being constructed), Rogue One, Ep 4, Ep 6 (DS 2), Ep 7 (Starkiller base is very DS like but a planet). I would prefer LFL stop using it but then reality shows that militaries will c...
