Re: "The Mandalorian" Live-Action Series (2019)

Considering the instruction left at the end of the last ep, LFL has to balance keeping the mystery but feeding the story line. The first season was all out protecting the child and it appears the second is to reunite the child with its species. The average fan doesn't have the patience and doesn't r...

Re: "The Mandalorian" Live-Action Series (2019)

It was a hit with my little scifi group and I'm the only one who is described as a big SW fan. Stories had a better SW feel than the ST. For something that can yet string a sentence together 'The Child' is the star and if it leaves hen ratings will drop. It appears inevitable that Disney will finall...

Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

THIS IS SPOILER THREAD EXPECT SPOILERS So I've now seen the movie and overall I did enjoy the ride. Some of the ideas were good and some weren't. The depiction of Leia's death is unusual. Considering the footage they had to work with they did combine it well. They lied about no CGI and I felt was u...

Re: "The Mandalorian" Live-Action Series (2019)

When the stuffed toy is finally released in toy stores, it will Force levitate off the shelves. Friends and I were watching the series together and originally they were only going to watch the first two as they are casual SW fans. In the end we watched all 4 eps currently released but the show was g...

Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Did Palpatine have to come back so they prove how Skywalker will rise from the death? Maybe Luke was never dead as no mechanical hand was left. If they can bring back Maul and Sidious, then it is time they balanced the Force and brought back one from the Light side.

Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

The resistance was shown leaving Crait using the Falcon and it did land without any challenge. We all know well the Falcon has avoided capture over the years. While there is no Han on board I'm sure between Chewie, Poe and Rey one of them would have had the skills to fly them out. Since the film is ...

Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Mags that's ok but you quoted me which makes it look more like you are aiming the answer to me. I even get a notification. Disney used a different moon so they could get away from using the ewoks and the criticism from either showing them or not showing them. It also can give LFL more sales from mar...

Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Mags, I know that the planet Endor is a gas giant. Most of the characters over the years don't say Endor's Moon/s (neither does the OS). I don't even recall any of the moons in the SW universe be given their own name so this is first for Disney (probably so fans know it is a different moon). I have ...

Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

I've seen the trailer. It didn't didn't expand too much on what we already seen. Already know we were going to Endor. I think Rey is climbing the old DS prior to her fight with Kylo. I didn't see Wedge in the Resistance gathering unless he has his back to us in the shot. I bought my ticket for the m...

New Kevin Feige movie

It was announced this week that MCU president Kevin Feige will join Star Wars. Depending on which article you read he will develop one or more films. Until more news is release, I'm using Variety's article of one film to put this topic in stand alone movie thread. https://variety.com/2019/film/news/...

Re: The Obi-Wan Kenobi series

Disney don't care what the fans think. Most casual fans don't watch the animated shows so have no idea about the Rebels showdown. If done correctly it could feed the showdown by explaining why Maul hates Kenobi even more.

Re: The Obi-Wan Kenobi series

I saw solo but for them to run into each other it would have to be off world. At this point Maul doesn’t even know about Tatooine.he discovers Tatooine through the vision he receives by combining the Sith and Jedi holocrons in SWR. Maul was sent to Tatooine by Palpatine in Ep 1. Kenobi is set after...

Re: "The Mandalorian" Live-Action Series (2019)

Can we get access to it here in Australia yet? Honestly, if the price is fair and they offer the three years for two deal, I will probably get on board. Here are my percentages of likelihood of seeing below characters in the Kenobi D+ series. Maul <5% You must not have seen Solo to give this percentage for Maul. I think he maybe Obi Wan's enemy. There is a high opportunity for a cross over of some of the Solo cast especially since they are set in t...

Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

The reel is also on the OS. I like the voiceover by Luke and new images of Leia. Questioning why C3PO has red eyes. Maybe he is the one possessed by Sidious.

Dark Rey makes me feel this is a vision as if it did really happen it is a big spoiler for a sizzle reel.

Re: Untitled Obi-Wan Kenobi

Mags, I have no doubt that Obi Wan is back. The rumour I talk of is, it is more looking like a six part tv series but some are stating Ewan is directing as well. We will have to wait for the OS to advised more.

Then this thread may need to be moved to tv not stand alone movies.

Re: Untitled Obi-Wan Kenobi

Rumours flying around many entertainment sites (including Variety) is that Ewan has signed to reprise Obi Wan. Depending on who you read he will also direct and jury is out if it is a film or a tv series for Disney +.

Unsure when we will hear from LFL, maybe at D23.

Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

Mags, we hear Palpy's laugh in the teaser so either his presence has completed Kylo's training or Paly's clone is commanding a group of troopers. There is Knight of Ren who could also be leading them. Remember the Sith would never called themselves troopers as they are more egotistical than that.

Re: Star Wars Episode IX (SPOILERS ALLOWED)

No it's not. The marketing department was running out ideas of what to call the next toy trooper. It just means they are red and probably commanded by a Sith. Just a mixture of praetorian and trooper.
