What Don't You Want to See...

With all the posts about what's going into ep3 I thought it would be interesting to find out what people definitely DON'T want to see.

myself - I don't want the cave on dagobah revisited or explained in anyway. *It fits with the OT and should be left alone.

I don't want to see characters like Han, Chewie, and Lando introduced. I have to believe that there is no chance that any of these characters will be in Episode III. Lucas has said that he may show some characters from the OT, time permitting, so that we can get a brief backstory on those particular characters. It is more obivious that these characters would include people like: Tarkin, Mon Mothma, General Riekaan, Admiral Piett, Admiral Ozzel, General Veers, etc. Seeing some of these characters as younger, up-and-comers in either the Imperial Fleet or the Rebellion would be a nice, brief addition to the prequels. Adding characters like Han, Chewie, and Lando, who all have been introduced in the OT, would take away from the story in my opinion.

Eh, i wouldnt worry to much about the political aspect being a great deal in the next movie. all there needs to be done is palpatine becoming emporer and forming the empire. and that can be done really easy in a couple minutes.

two questions::::::::::

1) why is the emporer so ugly and weird looking and strange by the time we see him in ROTJ? kinda seems like two different peolpe but he isnt.

2) does anyone think that maybe we wont see Sidious fight, but possible use his STRONG sith powers and use them to brainwash all of the senators all at once in the large senate room? i think that would rule!

What I don't want to see

1. I don't want to see Yoda fighting as that bloody spinning top again. Ok I must say that I was cheering as much as anyone when I first saw it. I thought it was amazing but after a bit of reflection I think that have Yoda as the master swordsman who parries and attacks calmly, and without effort would have been much better. It would show that Yoda really is a true master of the lightsaber.

2. Boba killing Mace. Let us face it he is too young to be killing a Jedi Master (assuming that Ep. III takes place only a few years later.). Of course I would love to see a slightly older Boba slaying Jedis for Vader.

3. Jedi slaughtered like insects, they are brave and should be allowed to die with grace.

4. GL skirting the issue of killing the child Jedi, lets face it Vader should be completely heartless at this point and his actions need to show that.

5. A suckers death for Tyranis, he should not be discarded like last weeks newspaper once Anakin completely falls.

6. I have to agree with JediBendu about the cave on Dagobah. It's a great mystery and should stay that way.

7. Killing the Jedi Council in one single attack. I think that the Sith should make them feel anger, hatred, and fear before they are killed.

I don't know if you are referring to the actor, which is obviously the same, or the character. If you are in fact referring to the latter, it boggles my mind that everyone is still so f-ing convinced that Palpatine is Sidious and that there is no chance in hell that Sidious is Sifo-Dyas. It is sooooooo g**da** obvious that Palpatine is Sidious that there is no way that it can turn out that way. Everyone here watches other movies besides just Star Wars, I assume, so hasn't anyone ever seen a movie where you knew that one character was the villain, but in the end it was someone else completely? Anyone ever seen Clue? Did anyone know that Wadsworth was really Mr. Body until the end? Anyone seen Primal Fear? Did anyone forsee that Norton's character was faking his multiple personality in order to get away with murder? Anyone seen Mission:Impossible? Anyone know that Jon Voight was the bad guy, even though he appears to be killed in the beginning? In how many movies has that been the case over the years? Too many to count anyway? Has anyone seen Minority Report yet? I won't say what happens because this movie just came out, but if you have seen it, you know what I'm talking about?

All of these are just examples of the many movies in which someone whom you thought was a good guy, or was really dead, or whatever the case may be, and they turned out to be the villain. Based on this, someone tell me why Sidious has to be Palpatine and not Sifo-Dyas. Is it because we know the emperor as Emperor Palpatine? Not good enough of an argument. Is it because Sifo-Dyas is dead and, if alive, the Jedi would know? Give me a break, the Dark Side clouds everything. Maybe that doesn't just refer to the ability of the Jedi to forsee events, but also it refers to our ability to determine who Sidious is?

On a side note, this is not a personal attack on Martini. I only used the quote as an example. When I say "you" throughout this post, I am referring to whomever is reading it at the time. Except in the first couple of sentences, when I am talking to Martini only. Just wanted to clear that up.

Since everyone has a problem with a still pre-teen Boba killing Mace, what if Boba is the one who kills all of the Younglings. That way he can still have revenge on the Jedi, while at the same time only killing those in his age group. Any feedback on that?

I really like Boba and Jango, but I really do not want to see Boba again until ESB. How can Lucas top the picture in all of our heads of Boba holding the head of Jango in his? That is a perfect way to leave the storyline. I would rather it be a mystery what happend after Jango was killed, rather than Lucas slap us in the face with "here is exactly how it happened". Boba became popular by being mysterious ( and having cool armor), lets not ruin all that by getting rid of the fun ( mystery) that made Boba.

There are so many great plots and personal stories going on right now that I dont feel that Lucas has to touch on Boba again.

Dont get me wrong. Boba was always one of my favorites and always will be but please no MAJOR role in episode III.

Little kids are suppossed to be inoccent, so see a little kid kill other little kids that never really did anything to him would make Boba Fett look like a psycho, not the calm, cool, efficient bounty hunter.

I reeeeally don't want to see the Emporer fight. Let's say Yoda drops his cane again in III and gives the Emporer a run for his money. Don't you think that would cheapen Palpy's character? Anyway, I went off topic. Palpy's greatest weapon as a Sith is his MIND. He's managed to fool and manipulate EVERYONE with his mind. Everything with him is mental. He manipulates you and exploits your fear until you belong to him.

Yoda could not beat Tyranus easily, if at all; no one in that fight had any clear advantage. I don't think Yoda is all that humble, but that is debatable.

Yoda cannot beat the Emperor; what makes anyone think he can? Just because we never truly see the Emperor fight does not mean he isn't tough; personally, I would love to see the Emperor thrash Yoda in a fight. Apparently, Yoda was familiar with them or he wouldn't warn Luke beforehand.

Hello everyone, I'm new here but have been a SW fan all my life.

I'll just jump into what I don't want to see in EpIII

-No Death Star, Victory Class Star Destroyers instead.

-No death scene for Padme, she should be the founding member of the Rebal Alliance.

-No lightsaber fight for the Emperor (whom ever his really is) its not in his character, the Emperor would instead use the force to take a jedi's lightsaber from his hand and them impale said jedi with it.

-No Boba Fett, with one exception, Boba Fett rescues Anakin from death, hence the relationship in ESB and ROTJ, Fett can talk back to the Vader no one else can.

-No stupid Sailing ships in space. What happened to the Sith Infiltrator?

-No trading or shipping guilds, bring on the Smugglers!

-Enough with the land battles, Imperal Navy vs another Space Fleet time!

-No more of this whinny, crying Anakin (get Hayden Christien some acting lesson) - explore his ruthless side.

And one deffinate must.

We just must see Tarkin. Tarkin should play a major roll in establishing the new Imperial Forces.

The Emperor is the one that needs humbling. Of course, I suppose he did get that when Anakin through him down the shaft in ROTJ.

Maybe the Emperor can take out Yoda. We know it won't be through the Force, since Yoda can handle lightening or any other Force manipulation. So it would have to come down to lightsabers. I don't have any concrete reasons for saying he can't fight, but given what I've seen of the Emperor and how he carries himself...I don't see him as a fighter. He's the scheming, manipulative type, and I think that's how he gets his dirty work done: by allowing others to do it and just orchestrating it all.

I don't want to see *a child version of any species (including human). *I am still bothered by the scene in TPM where Ani's friends show up to encourage him during the pod race.

I guess I could tolerate GL showing the twins being born, and delivered to their respective planets but no more than that.

I don't want to see the core characters of the OT (Tarkin making an appearance, however, would be great).

I don't want to see X-wings (to me they are like the Spitfires of the RAF in WWII and symbolically belong twenty years into the future with the rebels in the OT)

I want to see as little of C3PO as possible (I already hate the idea of a memory wipe). *

Question for all of you (maybe a future topic) after watching the OT, could it be possible that C3PO doesn't need a memory wipe and is programmed to not say a word about his knowledge of the Skywalkers in order to help the Rebel Alliance find "the New Hope?"

Just a thought.

I don't want to see Yoda beaten in any way. We are led to believe in the SW saga so far that Yoda is The Master and only Anakin's potential is greater (not sure about Luke). I want Yoda to retreat to Dagobah to prepare for the coming of the new hope. I don't want him beaten because it would then seem hes run off to hide on Dagobah and i don't think Yoda would hide through fear, something he has always warned against. Nor do i think he'd ever give up because he's been beaten - he'd rather die. IMO Yoda didn't go to Dagobah to hide, he went there to wait.

Thats quite a statistic but I doubt thats true 99% besides Vader has already been seen if I want to see him I will watch the OT.

I do not want to see Jedi's just killed in mass. They should leave it as the order breaking up and Vader hunting them down one by one and using Boba to do it. But this all would take place between EPIII and ANH, so that we never see it.

That wouldn't be good.....although I guess Han is a little older, you never know with those Star Wars physics........I don't want to see tripletts. :eek:
