In Clone Wars Vol. 1, what are Padmé and Yoda doing when they go to rescue Luminara Unduli and Barriss Offee? Typho says they have "more pressing matters". Has it ever been revealed what these matters were? I may have missed it in the episode, but I'm pretty sure it's not mentioned.

Yoda was probably just escorting Padme back to Naboo.

It never actually said where they were off to.

Not so much a plothole as a loose end.

No, but it doesn't matter. The rescue of the two Jedi are much more important.
I have a question though: after the two are rescued and Yoda sees that Dooku has destroyed the temple, Yoda looks kinda pissed. Isn't anger the path to the dark side?

In theory, but I think it's more about what you do with that anger -- how you follow up the immediate emotional reaction, whether you calm yourself down or go on a killing spree.
Jedi can and do have feelings like everyone else, but you're supposed to master your emotions (instead of letting them master you) and let go of the negative ones.

This is slight off-topic, but I found it interesting how in the Clone Wars commentary, Tartovsky mentioned that he tried to give Yoda and Padme a father-daughter relationship in those two episodes.
I always found that interesting for some reason.

I felt that Padme in the Clone Wars series was completely and utterly out of character. Yoda didn't look like Yoda either. He was too glum.
As an interesting sidenote Padme was voiced by Gray Delisle, who also voiced Asajj Ventress and the Handmaiden in KOTOR 2.

I like her voice more than Natalie's. Less painful on my ears.</span>

Where were they going? Good question. Where were they coming from?

Yoda was actually quite good with negotiations (making him a formittable ambassador), especially on Kashyyyk, where, according to Star Wars: Complete Locations, he assisted the Wookiees with several problems with their Trandoshan neighbors.
