The game itself isn't that difficult (although there are quite many levels). It's a space combat simulator where you take on the role as the youngest son of the Azzameen family who is a family of merchants. You'll have to fight rival groups and later join the Alliance and fight against the Empire. The game was released back in '98 (I believe it was), and so it may not be compatible with Windows XP (I've never dared running it, or any other game that I'm not sure of, under XP).

Gots to be Star Wars Galaxies for me (although ive stopped playing it in favor of world of warcraft). Spent over a year playing it and was involved in the beta test too.

Its definatly one for the ultimate Star Wars fan - its got all the movie and expaned universe locations - all the charecters you would expect too.

Trouble is, its so time consuming. Spent pretty much the whole summer on Tatooine (much to my wifes disgust) livin it up with jabba and his mates. Strange, but after a while it kind of seemed normal.........

the original dark forces was friggin amazing, JK2 was pretty good, JA's only draw was the customizable lightsabers

that being said, my favorite star wars games are:

dark forces
republic commando
rogue squadron
and JK2 multiplayer

i really thought that battlefront would've been in there when it came out, but i was terribly disappointed with it

My friends from school love Jedi Power Battles.Personally,I don't think it's a bad game either.But they realy *LOVE* the game.Some times it looks they are crazy when they talk about the game.

Agreed.

I played the demo for Republic Commando when my friend let me borrow CW Season 1. It's awesome. While it lacks something that Halo has, this game has more of a Commando feeling. I can't wait to get it.

I think that X-Wing Alliance and Rebellion aren't so bad. I mean Rebellion is old but great and I don't know how LucasArt hasn't yet realeased an expansion

X-Wing Alliance, TIE Fighter and X-Wing are by far the best SW games created. JK 1 comes close, if not ties. Super Star Wars Trilogy (even though Empire was pretty weak) comes a close 3rd. Rogue Squadron 2 surpassed the first, and the third was a bit rubbish.

The problem is LucasArts as a creative company now stinks. Pandemic still haven't made a decent game yet and Level 5 were very hit and miss. And don't forget all those GBA atrocities.

Up until I played KOTOR I would have said TIE Fighter. You have a career in the Emperial Fleet starting from escorting freighters through hostile territory to protecting the Emperor himself from double crossing Imperials! Absolutely fantastic.

Then KOTOR came out. Just fantastic. You`re not following some rigid storyline. It really puts you there in the SW universe, interacting with allsorts of new exotic aliens. Played it through about six or seven times.

Really disappointed with the sequel though. It isn`t finished. Storylines started and forgotten about. Not good.

Jedi Knight. Outcast was poop, but the original was the best Jedi Knight simulator ever. It even gave you pointless powers so you could (if you wanted) be the galaxys crappest Jedi Knight in existence. "Force Cut Toenail" and the like.

It also gave us "Force Push" and "Force Speed" long before they were in a movie. Fact.

Shadows of the Empire was the greatest, it was challenging and had a lot of variety. Plus if you put in the debug code you get to be a Wampa.

No way. KOTOR one had an amazing script and gaming experience, also the twist at the end. KOTOR2 you can't ttell what plot your in. Kreia is the stupidest character ever and the ending sucks. True, the gaming experience was better, i.e battle meditation, but overall KOTOR rules more, more interesting characters, even though Kelly Hu from X Men (Lady Deathstrike) did that blind womans voice.

For me it's a toss up between the original arcade version (the sit-down one...not the stand-up) and Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. I like the KoTOR games and Republic Commando muchly, but I prefer the aforementioned two.

And to answer General Nikola's question, I prefer the original KoTOR. There's less characterization in the first one, but the gameplay and lack of stupid bugs make up for it. It's funny now, because when I first played it, I thought it was the worst game of all time...

Yes! I love Republic Commando. Its one of the few games that really don't involve the Jedi. It also has some of the best tactical gameplay I've ever played

Original was by far the better game. Sequel like I said earlier, isn`t finished. Someone else said it was a complete game. It wasn`t. Literally.

I liked the ending. Let me know there was another one coming. However I did not like that there was this big build up to something that never happened. And what the hell was the deal with the droids? Anyone know? One minute they`re conspiring against each other, next they`re all killed.
Very little point in converting anyone else to Jedi because as soon as you do it the game kills them off for the last planet.
I enjoyed the game don`t get me wrong. But it wasn`t a patch on the original. Speaking of patches, when I start a new game it deletes my old saved ones!
