It seems almost like the last expansion just came out a couple months ago. I wish the game was playable without having to buy the new expansion right off the bat. Kinda like how JTL was.

RotW could be pretty neat though.

The news lists it as a downloadable expansion. Any chance of a CD-ROM showing up soon?

I hear that the CD-ROM version will be a bit after the downloadable version. I have also seen ads for a starter kit type thing that has the core game plus the two expansions.

I knew it! Had to be a "Deluxe Galaxies" in the woiks. Heh, I'm too collectible-hungry, I'll end up getting "Rage" and the deluxe set. Tanx, Kaken!

EDIT: I just did a little research. Seems that "Rage" won't be the one coming to disc, but will be included in the "Star Wars Galaxies: The Total Experience" set, which has an in-game exclusive BARC Speeder. However, the "Rage" download is supposed to have an in-game creature exclusive, so I'm not sure if it's included in "Galaxies Total".

My understanding of it is that if you pre-order the digital download you get the new mount (borga, boga?) but not the BARC. The BARC does come with the total experiance collection but not the mount. No one has come out and said it but they seem to imply that if you do not pre-order the download you will not get the mount. Take into account that it is all marketing speak and subject to change at the whim of Sony.

All in all I think that they are giving you a decent bonus either way you go. You also get Jump to Lightspeed with the downloaded version of Rage. I hope that the new combat system and other changes will help bring some players back. The fanboy in me refuses to stay away from this game.

Hey guys ...

I'm doing an email interview of the team behind Galaxies: Rage of the Wookiees. If any of you have any questions for me, send them to me here or email: trilogist@jedinet.com or send me a PM.

If you’re not already familiar with Rage of the Wookiees, here’s what it has to offer:

o Explore Kashyyyk - the home planet of the Wookiees is being added as an entirely new adventure planet and space zone

o Adventure through over 100 story-driven quests - Join the Wookiees in their fight for freedom against their Imperial-supported Trandoshan slavers or support the Empire in their mission of quelling the spread of the Rebellion!

o Visit and discover several points of interest and adventure zones including the Wookiee-run tree cities, Trandoshan-controlled slave camps and the safari lands of the affluent Rodians

o Pilot new starships inspired by the motion picture Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith including Anakin's Jedi Starfighter model

o Enhance your character with radical new cybernetic parts that add special abilities and improve your performance in combat

o Embark on daring new space mining missions to recover precious raw materials for sale to ground-based crafters. Surviving slews of pirates will provide unprecedented economic opportunities

o And experience the all new combat system featuring new weapons, new armor, new effects and an all new user-interface to make combat even more engaging and fun!

o More information available at: www.starwarsgalaxies.com (http://www.starwarsgalaxies.com/)

Disregard the above post. People have been complaing about combat being unbalanced in SWG since launch. Now that SOE has done something about it and is revamping the combat system and leveling it out for everyone, some people dont want it to happen. The above poster must either be a Jedi, TKM, or PvP junkie because they are the majority of people who dont want the CURB to happen.

^dude what ever ok you have no right calling me a junkie ok.I have no intrest in bieng a tkm or jedi.I am a bounty hunter. The cu is stupid i was bieng killed by things that were easy to kill. And if i want to play eq2 i would go buy it. before the CU swg had its own unique combat system and now it is the same as every other rpg out there. And you are telling me 84% of the ppl on SWG forums are tkm, jedi and pvp lovers.

I am looking forward to the revamp personally. I played the game in beta and really felt that the game went live way to fast, but that is really the standard nowadays. The CURB has been one of the big time requested changes, I never really thought they would get around to it.

I am a little disapointed in the cybernetics aspect, not that it is a bad thing, just not what I was expecting.I was thiking more along the lines of implants like in KOTOR as well as the upgraded limbs. Maybe after I get a chance to play it I will think differently.

As we speak my server is down for the big upgrade, I can't wait to see it!

K i hate to say but after playing the cu with my friends im starting to like it.

It's going to take me some time to get used to it. I think in the long run it will be okay. Changes of this scale just take time.

I wish that there was some documentation that explains the new combat level to me. It would also be handy to see a list of weapons that are available to different combat levels. My novice bounty hunter on Bria is now a combat level of 22. I am still looking for a pistol and rifle that I can use.

I found a vendor and have my weapons ready to rock for tommorow.

In case there is someone that did not know the double XP week starts first thing tommorow (Monday).

I have yet to see a definative list of what weapons we are authorises at which level. I am pretty sure anyone can use an FWG5 and that is a real powerhouse of a pistol. On another note, what servers are all of you on? I am on Gorath

I have a character on Bria and one on Sunrunner. I have three FWG5's on Bria and can't use any of them. The rating was either 50 or 54, the good thing is once I get to that combat rating I can use it again style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif .

My only issue now is finding a place to hunt. I like to solo and have not found a new mob. I use to be able to hunt quenkers on Dantooine but they will eat my head now.
