I kind of have one, but I bought it instead of build it myself.

It took me forever to build mine. Finding the right crystals to power it was the hardest.
Here is one that I made for our never to be finished sequel to Challenge of the Sith:

Do you guys reckon the lightsaber will be invented in the future?
Marko Ragnos
08-06-2005, 04:58 PM
Nah, but i think (And hope) someone invents some sort of blaster!
Cassus Fett
08-06-2005, 07:41 PM
well to have one as powerful as the ones in the film you would need something the size as a people carrier to power it.
Cassus Fett
08-06-2005, 07:44 PM
But having a real fully working lightsaber would be good. It would only be useful if put to good use, maybe defending Earth.
Darth Darthy
08-06-2005, 10:16 PM
It would serve no purpose other then to chop your own leg off while waving around pretending your Obi-Wan Kenobi pre-arthritis. Guess natural selection would be enacted a bit quicker...
lol, I think that they might invent some sort of blaster type weapon in the (hopefully) near future, but I wouldn't count on a lightsaber for quite a while.

Just had a thought,
All the properties of a light saber would be impossible to produce!!!!
If for some way, people figured out how to produce a lava hot blade, it would never end!!
the blade would go on for infinite.
It would never end,
Whats to stop it?
Dark Helmet
08-20-2005, 02:31 AM
It would be insanely cool to have one where the blade is motorized and comes out of the hilt on its own and lights up as it goes to get a full lightsaber activation effect.
Look at this I found

Never built one and to the guys who have that's great. They look cool.
I have a Skywalker lightsabre from Ep IV. It is made from the exact materials as the original prop and is full size. It was made by Icon who used to make the licensed lightsabres prior to Master Replicas. Icons went broke.
People often ask me if it works. Sadly it doesn't.

I had a red Darth Vader one which I got when I was 7years old. It is now broken due to excessively hitting objects.

That is one excellent lightsabre JMAS. How much did it cost?
That's the thing about them. They are pretty pricey. That one is $285 total including shipping. I know there are cheaper ones that are also cool, like the Force-FX ones from MR. And they even make lightsaber noises. But the blade is permanently attached. With the Park Sabers, as demonstrated by the two pics I posted, you can detach the blade and just have the hilt hang at your belt if you want. Plus, the design is unique and not just a clone of one seen in the movies.

I got Anakin's Force FX saber. If I had money one of the first things I would invest in is several sabers to add to my very small collection. The ForceFX sabers are pretty nice, like was said though one of the few drawbacks is a permanently attached blade.

I personally endors Lind Lightsabers. I have bought one from him already, and he's pretty much willing to do whatever you want for a small price. They're less expensive as Park Sabers and just as good of a quality. You can find their website at:
