[attachmentid=8413]My first post. Please be kind.
I happend across a german website that details a new tv series about the capture of the suttle Tydirium. It takes place at the begining of ROTJ. There are webdocs and trailers, but unfortunately they are all in german. I thought all of you might find it interesting.
I love starwarz.com and this board! It is alot better than what TF.net has become.

Cool! Is this real? If so, why is it in Germany?

It is true. It is in germany because it is germans who are making it. Check it out here: It's german (http://www.tydirium.tv/english/index.php)
I was hoping that you guys would check it out and give your expert opinion. ther are webdocs and trailers. No subtitles though.

My opinion:
This is a fanfilm, not a TV series, that doesnt involve any official work from Lucasfilm in any way.
Even says so right in their english FAQ: http://www.tydirium.tv/english/faq.php
and on their German homepage.
However, based on the stills. It looks very good for a fanfilm.

For a fanfilm is seems to have a high budget and production.

My only problem with Tydirium is the length of time that we've been waiting on it. Funding has been a problem for them as far as I know. But they are extremely talented, and here's hoping they finally get it finished.
I used to talk to them (probably about 2 years ago) when I was first setting up my film company. They had the most realistic trailer of a Star Wars movie that I fell in love with it. If this fanfilm ever comes out, I believe it will set a new standard for quality of Star Wars fanfilms.

I think that's everyone's problem with "Tydirium." style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif
I agree though, the trailers are very well put together. So here's hoping that 2005 is the year it's finally released.

Yea, I think this was one of the first Fan Films/Trailers I saw. I wonder if it'll ever be finished?

A rich and well respected director should make a fan-film so theres no budget problems and its borderline real film.
