What platform, style, etc. A link to a site, maybe?
It's a RTS (Real Time Strategy) PC game, kinda old acutally. You basically start out as either the Rebels or Empire. You manage resources build ground defenses, troops, stars ships, factories, and things of that nature. You can recruit well known Star Wars characters i.e. Thrawn for the Empire who helps with ship design I believe. The basic goal is to conquer the opposing sides capital and eliminate them. At least I think this is how it goes it's been awhile since I've played it. It was a fun game from what I remeber but I was never very good at it style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

Kinda old? It's ancient. Downloaded it recently and it doesn't seem to be possible to play it wihout a manual the size of a religious tome. Has a terrible GUI too.

Well, more like Win95/98 really.
No, this is a great game (although I don't like the ship skirmishes). I bought it in december '98 and it still happens that I play it.
Oh, in some parts of the world it's known as Star Wars Supremacy.
The Gravity Well generator ship is awesome. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

It's a 5 bucks game now. But it's a good game once you understand how the subtilities works. It's visually old of course, and magnus is right about those 3D spacebattle, they are crappy. I always let the cpu solve them anyway. But beyond that it's a good game really. If you play it on LAN against a good player it's almost like playing a chess game in a way. Brain consuming. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/joystick.gif

Is this game sort of like Galactic Battlegrounds that was released not to long ago. This involves building forces and constructing buildings and gathering resources. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/joystick.gif

I agree, I had the game (I need to re-install it) and it was very entertaining, but those spacebattles are a sham! Another issue that bothered are those small clips they inserted every time you captured Coruscant or destroyed the planet, as they were always the same. I know, I am picky.
