Does anyone have a .doc copy of Recovery? I've tried downloading it several times from amazon, but it won't open correctly, so it isn't like stealing or anything.

"It isn't like stealing or anything?"
And how exactly do you figure that?
"Pardon me, I would like to have the SW films on DVD. I know they're only on VHS format, but if you could just digitize them and burn them on a DVD for me, it wouldn't be like illegal or anything."
SW Ebooks are made specifically for the format they are distributed in. Distribution in any other format is illegal and considered bootlegging.

If he's payed for it and he can't download it than he's the victim, not the thief.

Yeah, eBooks suck. I just wait for the paperback to come out (i.e. Recovery in Star by Star, Saboteur in Shadow Hunter). I presume Ylesia will be in the paperback version of Destiny's Way. Considering I haven't got to those books yet, it's cool. It makes waiting for the paperback much more worth it. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif
Hand, I suggest you contact customer service, if you already haven't. I am sure they would be glad to assist a paying customer.

The was a wee bit harsh. Watch your wording. It's not polite to call anyone an idiot.

Hand: If you lost money trying to download it, you should direct a complaint and refund request to the distributor. Using that as an excuse to bootleg the materials isn't the solution. It's *a* solution, but neither the correct, nor the legal one.

I agree. Besides, I've read all the way up to Traitor in the NJO and I've never touched the ebooks. I don't feel I've missed anything important, so hey, maybe they're not even worth the trouble, eh? Thus far I've heard nothing but complaints about them.

I guess....its ok i've been looking for a copy too..Handofthrawn..when i got Recovery and d/l it it was missing a few chapters and one of the chapters cut off in the middle..
as far as i know they havn't fixed that (i told the customer service dept. and they payed me my $$ back)
what i would recommend doing is go ing to your library and checking out the ppb version of SBS its the best way and that way you aren't bootlegging..
As for missing stuff..you aren't REALLY but it does explain alot about the Wild Knights and where they come..and why they're all of a sudden just THERE in SBS....
and uhh Nathan..that example is terrible style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif
robbing a bank is a little bit different then trying to get a copy of something that you already paid for--they got their money...*shrug* i'm against it if he didn't pay...
thought id drop in my two cents
(and i think he just tried to d/l it three times not pay for it three times..you can d/l it as many times as you want)...

My paperback of Star by Star doesn't have Recovery in it and neither does my paperback of Destiny's Way have Ylesia in it. What's up with that???

Don't know about Recovery, but Ylesia was accidentally left out of the DW paperback. Click here to download a free copy of it. (http://www.starwars.com/eu/news/2003/08/news20030826.html) style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

Thanks for the tip. Wasn't recovery supposed to be in Star by Star? I bought it in Bangkok, Thailand at a Japanese book store. I'm wondering if they just sent all the reject copies out here and I just got gypped.

I've picked up the paperback in stores and flipped through it, and it was in the copy I looked at. It's at the very front and is actually called Prologue: Recovery.
