OF COURSE NOT, they may have holidays, but iit depends on the species and culture, the starwars universe does not have christ in it, he was born here, not there

Not entirely true. I know people who celebrate Christmas as a cultural holiday, instead of a religious holiday.

I ended up with a copy of the HS too. What a piece of...

Anyway, keep an "ear" out on Dec. 13 for ChronoRadio: Episode VI: The 2002 Holiday Special (of CR). We do a whole segment on the SW Holiday Special. Including discussions on Luke as Timmy from Lassie, Itchy as a VR porn enthusiast, and so on.

O-B, since you're so close, if you want me to dub you one, let me know. You can just pick it up sometime instead of paying for any shipping and such.

Since the modern day Earth holiday of Christmas originated in the early Christian church as a means of celebrating the birth of Christ, and has since become a mass-market commercial holiday among the masses on Earth, there is absolutely no way that the Star Wars galaxy inhabitants would celebrate "Christmas" as the instigators of the holiday (the Christian church) do not exist in the galaxy, and Jesus of Nazarath did not, as far as we know, live in the Star Wars galaxy.

And the good thing about this forum is that you can delete those ugly double posts. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

So they have a Christmas?

The answer is of course Yes. However Not in the sense that you think of Christmas.

It's not a day of celabration due to the birth of one person nor a day when people echange gifts.

Rather it is treated as a day of reverance. For a full 24 hour day (the average being 24 hours, depending on your homeworld) every man, woman, child, pet, master, slave, genderless being, politician, and Jedi maintain a full day of silence in humble piety and respect.

There would be no other more appropriate way to act on the day the Grinch returned all the gifts to Whoville.

(This is, of course, entirely made up.)
Thank you. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif
