Yoda trained dooku
Actually, Yoda trained everyone at a young age as "younglings" (accept Anakin, because he was too old).

Well, if we're going to use EU, I have a whole list of Masters and the Jedi they apprenticed in the Star Wars Timeline Gold appendix (you can find the SWT-G in the link in my sig).

It's not complete, but it's getting there.

Rouge 0009,

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><span style="color:silver">Actually, Dooku was yoda's last padawan apprentice.</span>
Actually Rouge 0009, GL said on the commentary for AOTC that Yoda trains classes of young Jedi students (as he did in the movie) and then they go on to be trained by their own master.

This is from the official sites databank on Yoda:

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>Yoda served an important role in the Jedi Council. When young Padawans began their first foray into Jedi training, they did so under Yoda's guidance. Many of the Republic's greatest Jedi trained under Yoda when they were children -- schooled in groupings called clans. Once the Jedi hopefuls grew older, approaching their teenage years, they would then be paired to an elder Jedi Knight or Master to continue training one-on-one.

Count Dooku, one of Yoda's former Padawans, was consolidating a military force out of the droid armies of the commerce guilds. Something needed to be done.
On Dooku's own databank on the official site, and in the Essential Guide to Characters, it says that Yoda was a mentor of his, not that Dooku was Yoda's apprentice.

You see, Yoda never called Dooku, former apprentice, he called him his old padawan, because Dooku trained under Yoda as a young Jedi, until he went on to be with his own Master.

Neither GL or the official site's databank states that Yoda ever trained his own apprentice, in fact GL specifically states on the AOTC commentary that Yoda trains classes of students, he actually trains all of the Jedi, before they go on to be with their own Master.

Yoda's position is very special.

Dooku was but a youngling.

Apprentice and Padawan are interchangable Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan both refer to their Padawans as apprentices and vice versa.

He says that Yoda doesn't train apprentices ANYMORE which makes us think that he did at one time, and if so who knows when he stopped? I think Dooku was Yodas last apprentice/Padawan before he went into the whole group of younglings buisness. Why else would they have made Yoda mention it?

Also in the new essential guide to charecters it says (of Dooku) "...but not before facing his former master Yoda in a test of lightsabers. His loss to Yoda was of little consequence, for Dooku escaped to his true master, Darth Sidious."

Sidious trained Maul...right? At least that's what we assume. Sidious says "you have been well trained" but doesn't say exactly "you have been well trained...by me."

Yes as far as we know (and I am sure it was Sidious) Maul was trained by sidious.

Lord Laviathan

Yes, Sidious did train Maul he took him from his home on Iridonia when he was very young and trained him fully as a Sith. He was never a Jedi he was bred to hate them thats why he is so powerful, Im sure Sidous didnt take it well when he was killed by Obi-Wan.

There are those who think that maul may be Syfo-Dias as well as several other such rumors.

I however am sure that what Laviathan says is the truth, the other makes no sense and is silly.

Actually, Arca only trained Ulic, Cay and Tott. Nomi Sunrider was trained by her husband Andur's former Master, Thon.

No Goerge said that the reason for him filming the scene with the younglings was to show that Yoda trains classes of Jedi students, he didn't say anything about him doing it now and not before, he just plainly said Yoda trains classes of students.

Count Dooku was not Yoda's apprentice.

Count Dooku really was a padawan under Yoda's tutelage, but not his apprentice.

Essentially, Yoda could call anyone his old padawan he'd be right, becuse he did in fact train every Jedi that is alive in the current time.

Yoda told Dooku, "You still have much to learn" and "Fought well you ave my old padawan" to taunt him, nothing more.

Almost very official source says that Yoda was Dook's mentor, and that Dooku was one of his many padawans.

I've argued this point before, but Yoda is 874 years old currently, I'm sure he's been the oldest most experienced Jedi for a very very long time, and I'm sure he's been in he lofty position of training every Jedi for hundreds of years as well.

To end this, Dooku really was a padawan of Yoda's, one of many that he had at the same time.

Do we know who trained Mace Windu? (Obviously Yoda, but do we know who his actual Jedi Master was?)

Maybe it was Sifo-Dyas.
