Just wondering Dose anybody Play this Game anymore.
Its still a Cool God Game.

Yeah i did play it until i got a new PC but the bloody thing wont work on my new one for some reason.I had some wicked mods on there aswell.

Star Wars GB is great! IMO it's the best Star Wars game out there (yes, IMHO it's even better than Battlefront).

it is pretty good, i dont play it online anymore though, in fact i havent played it in a year. does anybody know where you can get that mod pack that lets you use yuuzhan vong characters instead of gungans?

i used to play this game, and since i've never been an RTS fan, i got bored

It did bore me after a while aswell but I used create my own campaigns.It took forever to master the scripts and trigger effects et al.I did a good one where Darth Maul was doing an assasination for Sidious and I managed to work out how to make some enemies die/choke when maul approached them without attacking.

My whole stategy in GB revolves around landing like 10 Pummels in the middle of the opposing base and letting them have a rip, focusing on power cores and shield generators at first. Besides that it is mostly a solid defensive front I put up, with small fortress outposts half way between my base the opposing base.

Same here I used those pummels alot.Once they take out the barracks and war factories the enemies had it.Once I used a Mod called Simon the killer Ewok and took out a whole army.Its a shame It doesnt work on my PC,id make some more campaigns and upload them to some of ya.

Its where the Gungans are replaced with Vong characters and voices.All you need is the SWGB Design kit which has mod installer and all the tools even to create your own mods.Exar Kun mod is also available aswell as EU characters.

Just downloaded the 'Fett chronicles' custom campaign.Looks awesome in my opinion.Ive looked at the Vong mods.They are BETA version and look ok but could have looked better.The Dovin Basil and Coral Skipper mods are available aswell.Darth Sidious with red lightsaber is mad too.

Yeah everything works on there.I just played a custom campaign where Luke killed Palpatine and joined Vader.Its called Vader and son.Its like an alternate ending for ROTJ.Dont know how many scenarios there are but its good.

i found one mod that lets you play the escape from the death star seen in ANH. I think it is titled Escape from the Death Star, but i'm not for sure. i do believe i found it on lucasfiles.com

Hrm... I recently purchased the game and was very pleased. I'm addicted now, and I was just thinking that I wanted more armies... Like the Yuzzhan Vong and Ewoks.

These modpacks and things seem really neat, but it's all greek to me. I'm going to try to figure it out tommorow.

Mods are easy even the greeks could do it lol.Heres how you do it matey.Download the mod installer.download the mod,which is an mpi file.open the mod installer and press open file.a list of mpi files come up.click on which one you want to put in the game.a read me file comes up on the mod installer,press close readme.press install mod.done.make sure the game isnt running when you install or remove mods because it will be a pain in ze butt to remove.

If you just want to create them go on swgb heaven and read the tutorials because i aint got all night to explain that.

I also don't have the Clone Campaigns expansion. I had too little room left on my hard drive when the expansion pack was released, so I never bought it. Since then, I've a new hard drive, but it's impossible to find either the expansion pack or the bundled version. Well, EaW soon arrives anyway.

You can get the Movie Box Set. It has like three games including SWGB with Clone Campaigns and James Bond Nightfire and Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb.

No, I'm sorry to say that there aren't that many Wal-Marts around here in Sweden. The malls here doesn't carry that many old games, neither does the on-line retailers.

Oh man the amount of errors and stuff Ive had with this game.I think that you may have to reinstall.Before you reinstall make sure you delete all Lucasarts folders as when you reinstall they tend to style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/censored.gif up the registry causing more errors.
Also your disc drive may not read the disc properly thats why when you press start game it says insert disc,so it may be a driver problem.
Refer to the troubleshooter,that should help with any problems.

I do.I made a bunch of scenarios,but 35% of them are stupid.I put together some scens and builded 2 or 3 campaigns from them.I am now working on a campaign for Clone Campaigns. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/beer.gif

created a campaign from eposode 1 to 6

even involved anakin's pod race

used lots a triggers

9 different scernios in the campainge

don't got the same computer anymore though

Im working on a campaign. Its called, "The Rise of Darth Vader". It is basically about what happens in between Episode III and Episode Four(i forgot my roman numerals!)

How do you make the triggers, etc? when doing your on scenario

first you usually need a condition ie Timer and then an effect ie display instructions
example

click new trigger......then click on new condition and choose Timer, type 10 in the timer box. Then click new effect and choose display instructions and type in anything for example ' I am an idiot'. Click test and when you start the scenario after 10 seconds on the screen your text will appear.

In the boxes you can choose whether the triggers start straight away or not. It is kinda hard to explain but on SWGB Heaven they have trigger guides that help.

I had this game on my old PC. God I loved it, created some good detailed scenarios too (that my old PC couldn't handle). Unfortunately I can't find the disks anymore so I can't re-install it.

(Shame I didn't save that old map. I created a superb Theed Map with an impeccable ammount of detail. It was pretty to look at too)

ok i realise its an old game but its still one i play from time to time.

Im trying to make a custom campaign using the scenario editor and the one thing im stuck on is how to make triggers and effects. For instance if in the objectives it says darth vader must live how do i set the trigger so that if he dies the controlling player automatically loses. Just general stuff like that the rest i have figured out how to do its just triggers and effects that has me truly stumped.

Anyone who plays the game (or the engine that created it age of empires) know how to do this?
