A friend of mine is REALLY mad at me (for this story's sake, let's call her Leia.) So Leia is really mad at Anakin (that's me,) but she won't tell Anakin anything about why. In fact, last night, she told him, "You have hurt me as though no one has ever hurt me before ... but you're not interested in hearing it, so I'll just stay quiet." (Yeah ... weird.) In the meantime, there is someone that Anakin is really interested in (we'll call her Padme,) and things between Anakin and Padme seem to be going well. Anakin thinks his conflict with Leia may be because of his getting closer to Padme, because Leia (at one time) was interested in Anakin, and for all Anakin knows, still is.

Did I confuse you? I hope not ...

Latest update ... Queenie, Leia and Anakin have discussed on numerous occasions their relationship and the fact that they will remain friends. However, Leia has been telling all her friends that she intends to date Anakin and marry him ... all the while telling Anakin that they should remain friends. Leia's jealousy of Padme is becoming more obvious. In the meantime, Padme knows nothing of the "soap opera" situation (it's getting that bad!), but she sees things from Anakin's perspective ... Anakin and Leia are friends and will remain as such. Anakin never had those kind of feelings for Leia. And Padme knows little about Anakin's feelings for her, though Anakin has reason to believe she may know more than she's telling.

Uh ... I think I've really confused you now. Hey Drew, I'll always hear you. I have a sister who is Queen 'Onna's age (although what that has to do with anything is beyond me. Call me King Random!)

Legally, you can't have sex until you're 18.

Emotionally, you should wait until you're truly in love and are in a relationship where you and your partner are completely committed to eachother.

Practically, you should not have sex unless you are prepared to be a parent.

I think you should stick to the 18 rule, and after that, make sure you're ready emotionally and physically to have a child. I don't mean you have to have a kid to have sex, I mean that having a baby is possible, so you need to make sure you're ready.

If you're only 15, you are definitely NOT ready, emotionally, physically, or otherwise, to have sex at all.

And for God's sake, if you're going to have sex, use a condom, and use it correctly!!

Hey Queenie and Aayla I have two problems.

1. Why do I have absolutely no motivation to do course work, wake up before noon, or do anything else constructive in general? Exam week is next week and I can barely talk myself into going to class. I don't study anymore and I just decided not to do extra credit work in a course I am getting a D in.

2. Why can't I meet a single nice girl on campus? I've met several nice girls, hot ones too, but none are single. I consider driving wedges in several relationships, but that's not my style. Most of my female friends wanted me when I first met them, but I was involved (she was a complete *****, but love is blind so I stuck it out for 18 months), and now the tables are turned on me. I got this great sweet, sensitive, caring, cute, future kindergarten teacher angle working for me, but no one's biting. For God's sake, I am outnumbered by women 40:1 in my education classes and I can't pick up anyone! Have I been out of the game too long? Help me please!

No, you're not out of my mind. I talk to myself, I talk to computer. Yeah, I'm weirder than you. I think that plants can't hear you, but if they do, then they're probably very greatful because they have an owner like you.

Maybe you don't think, that studing is important enough and you just surf in net or go to other cooler places than school. I know that it happens to me all the time. I'm not sure about you. I think that the reason why you don't meet nice single girls is that you're hanging out in wrong places and with wrong people. Maybe those parties you're going to is only full of non-single girls. And maybe those people who are with you are guys and girls. I don't know, what else to think.

OK...I need advice. I've asked many others so why not here. I've been friends with this girl for nearly 6 years. We are very close friends, but we both always were hooked up with others throughout the friendship. Then about a year ago we both split with our other halves and ended up dating for around 2 months. We both decided to split and just be friends mainly because it was too soon for each of us to get involved in another relationship since we both had come out of long relationships (2 years for her and 4+ years for me). She ends up hooking up with a jerk (which is her normal pattern outside of me, the nice guy) while I lament about losing what more or less is my dream girl. The friendship is strained because now I have deeper feelings for her and don't want her with anymore jerks. She leans on me, her best friend, when things go bad and she tells me all the time that she can't understand why she keeps ending up with jerks. She also hints to me and some of my friends that sometimes she wishes she was still with me. So I basically tell her in a letter that she should leave the guy and be with someone who is good to her, someone that treats her the way she should be treated. If that's me than great, but if it's not, then stop keeping me on the line. She doesn't really respond to this and we end up avoiding each other for about 2 weeks now (we work in the same place, btw). I found out yesterday that she and her jerk-boyfriend broke up. I wonder if what I told her influenced her decision to leave the guy?Should I go after her or should I let her come back to me? I don't want to pressure anything and wreck the friendship anymore, so please help.

The problem with your question is this: she may be waiting for you to come to her. In fact, most likely. If you decide not to come to her, she may think that you're not interested. It is very unlikely that she will return to you by herself.

So my advice is to go for it. Ask Queenie, though. A woman's viewpoint is always good.

Yeah, she knows...I've told her before, but she was always with that jerk. Now I feel that if I ask her too soon (she only split with the jerk a week ago) I might get rejected. What complicates things is that 3 weeks ago I wrote her a letter telling her she's better than all she jerks that she dates and that she needs to take control of her life and do what makes her happy. She went to Wisconsin for a week and when she came back said nothing at all to me for another week. Then I found out about the break-up through a friend of both of us. I'm just wondering if my words made something click in her head and if they did why didn't she speak to me for a week? Women are too damn complicated.....

Justin...I'm 25, she's 22, since you asked. I've never pressured her and never will. I have been basically waiting for close to a year now for her to make up her mine. She does things and says things to me and others hinting that she wants to be we me. Then when I ask her why she stays with her jerk for a boyfriend, when she knows she can do better (Me or someone else that doesn't treat her like a slave) she backs off. I believe she knows deep down that I'd be good for her, but unfortunately for me I've been like a brother and a father figure for her for 6 years. Her father passed on last year and really screwed her up and she began relying on me more and more. I guess since she's never had a man stay around too long she's afraid of losing the one that hasn't ever left.
