Just because you wear a cloak it doesn't make you a Jedi. Now if they guy had on the full Jedi robes then maybe we'd have something to think about.

Megohulk, both of them were wearing full Jedi robes, in the same fashion of those that were worn by Obi-Wan and Anakin in the OT.

Also in ROTJ when Lando and Han are talking in the hanger a person wearing a 'Jedi' cloak enters the shuttle. It might be Luke it might not be! Just thought Id mention it!

uncle owen also wears 'jedi' robes. i don't think obi-wan's robe was originally intended to be that of a jedi. luke's outfit in return of the jedi was supposed to be bona fide jedi attire. right? jedi robes as we know them now were originally more like tatooine robes, hence owen and the alien in jabba's palace looking like jedi posers.

No Owen does not wear the robes of a Jedi Knight, his clothing is similar, but not identical, as the robes of a few background characters that some of have pointed out are precisely oin the mark of Jedi clothing.

Personnally, I do not feel that GL had it in mind that thes characters were former Jedi, but since they have not been indentified otherwise, we have no reason to assume they are not, though it is highly doubtful.

The prune heads in the Briefing room in ROTJ also wear similar robes.

Actually we have every reason to assume they are not. Remember when Yoda(little green dude) tells Luke that when he's gone the last of the Jedi you will be. That and the fact that Jedi wouldn't just be hanging out in Jabbas palace, and IF they were , why didn't they help Luke? So you see, when you apply logic, you'll find that the whole notion of Jedi hanging around everywhere is just plain stupid. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif
