know what i saw today? there's a commercial for dr. pepper with run dmc and ll cool j exchanging a bit of rap banter about how, if you're an individual, you'll drink the crap. then there's a 'in memory of' message at the end for one of the run dmc members... in a dr. pepper commercial! that's how i perceive the hip hop community currently. perhaps it's wrong of me, but i can't help it. modern hip hop is ridiculous. the rapping isn't even lilting anymore. at least in the early nineties there was a bit of rhythm in the rapping. now it's just a bunch of jumbled up aggression.
