hey, this is the Bounty Hunters Guild thread, here you can freely express your opinions about the galaxies most feared predators.

Me personally, boba fett earned and deserves his title as most feared bounty hunter in the gaxaly.
next would be the father of this crimanaly insane mind, Jango fett
then it would probably be the galxay planned dominating metal body of the IG series....

Seriously though, I like the Trandoshan/Wookie fued. I really enjoyed the Bounty Hunter Wars Trilogy. I liked reading about Dengar finding Fett on Tattooine after he got spit out of the sarlacc. Cool reading.

I have all the books at home. Every one. I also have some of the comics. I just enjoy SW alot and the reading is pretty good most of the time. Some of the stories were better than others, but isn't that the case in all books? Anyhoo....I love the NJO series. I am soooooooooo happy they came out with fresh material with an enemy that rivals even the Empire. Very good in my opinion.

I personally like Jango better. I mean, yeah, he did go out, but he couldn't have helped it. I hate Mace Windu now. Boba is pretty cool too. Like, he's a maniac! He survives, like EVERYTHING. Prince Xizor, sarlacc, ambush by that traitor stormtrooper. He's thwarted them all. I'm would put Jango for my avatar, but Boba is the one in my book... so I gotta support him.

I loved the Bountyhunter Wars books, the bit about dengar finding Boba was great. A nice touch. A.C Crispin really caught how I imagined Fett's personality would be.
I like reading about all the different Bountyhunters, there should be more books about them.

My top hunters go in this order:
#1 Jango Fett
#2 Boba, because he wasn't as well trained as Jango and he goes out like a b***h
#3 Bossk he's big, and has done some good work
#4 Dengar his undying hate and psychopathic tendencies make him unpredictable
#5 IG-88, he was only good because there were multiple of him, Boba Fett had no problem lowering his numbers.

I'm sure many of you disagree but what can I say.

thats true, but in the eu the only somewhat equal to jango was zam wessel, but she had a pu**y death to, which says a lot about how bad the deadliest bounty hunters in the galaxy really are. they all die like bi***es man, and the eu has never had such a horrible retelling of someones death that i have read

So on the top of the trade it would be Boba, jango, zam, and whos this D'harhan guy in the BHW tri, he makes a mess in bobas ship on the by blasting the prisoners cages and then punks boba when he says he has to pay for it and boba doesnt make him, its like their friends or something

Yeah... D'Harhan WAS pretty cool. Except he died. That stunk. He seemed like a pretty awesome Bounty Hunter. I liked the two frickin huge guns on his shoulders. I also thought it was pretty cool when Boba killed that Shell Hut with 'em.

My personal favorite is Boba, but that's only because I know more about Boba than Jango. I liked him in the BHW (although I wasn't too crazy about the flashbacks/future time warps going on the whole time).

I finally figured out exactly why I like Jango better.
I only have one word: Class.
Don't get me wrong... I love Boba too. But I like how Jango kept his armour all shiny and clean. It shows how clean he was in his profession.

He was a former mandelorian warrior. Montross was a soldier in Jaster Mereels faction. He led a squad on Korda six in what was supposed to be a routine extraction mission. He didn't like Fett and resented the fact that mereel placed so much trust in him. When Jango was given a squad too, he was not happy. He was jealous of Jango because he knew that Mereel might choose Fett as his successor and he wanted that honour. The mission goes wrong due to false recon information and the mandelorians find an ambush by the rival mandelorian faction, death watch led by Vizla. Needless to say during the events that follow Montross's pig headedness leads to more bloodshed and he becomes mutinous, leading to jasters death. Trying to claim jasters position he meets opposition from jango who knows that Jasters death was Montross's fault. The men choose to follow Jango and Montross swore himself as his enemy!

Boba is the best of the best ny favorite, but dont knock on Jango he went up against the second most powerful Jedi in the galaxy. Notice in TESB how Boba keeps his distance from Luke, Boba would do no better agaist a powerful Jedi.

No, he didn't have the mentality for hunting bounties, cuz he's all about getting involved with what he believes in as oppossed to Fett and the others whose beliefs go to the highest bidder. Though he isn't that bad a jedi.

Alright, I'm going to have to retract my above statement about Jango. I said that I liked him better than Boba. Wellll.... it's going to have to be a tie, now. Boba's story in Tales from Jabba's Palace was frickin cool. Like "I swear on the soul I don't have, I am going to kill you." That is my all time favorite quote in all of Star Wars... so far.

Hey guys, have any of you heard that rumor about Boba having a little nipper of his own? Is it true? What's the kid's name? If his son doesn't have a name... I think Boba should name him Jaster.... Jaster Fett. THAT would be cool... although it doesn't really have that much a ring to it. But Boba would be payin his dues to one of the greatest Mandalorian of ALL frickin time.

hey, im the one who brought this quetion to the threads first. its in a comic, boba is lookin for this guy who has something on boba, and this lady named sintas something, and she is looking for the same thing. you an tell that they had relations, cause she calls him Bo and him her Sin. anyway they end up killing the guy, and get the item, but she gets it first so boba has to shoot her in the arm and then he disarms it, otherwise it would have killed her. but then they show the reader what it is, and its a holo of Boba and Sintas holding each other with a new born baby it their arms.but then the real boba leaves and she says "are you just going to leave me here injured, and he says" youll get over it,
so you can tell whatever was between them, its not there anymore.
maybe well see his son in the last of the NJO books that hes supposed to be in, and yeah that is a cool name

I thought that comic was really cheesy though, it was clumsily handled. Nice idea but fell down in execution I thought.

she was cool, but in the movie she didnt get a chance for the viewers to make an impression, i like her in the comics that are set before ep 2...

I don't think Zam is that hot in the movie, but watch the Ep.2 bonus features and you'll eventually see Leann. WOW!

Leann Walsman (sp?) is the actor who played Zam in AOTC. She has short, curly blonde hair, and she looks a little different in regular clothes. I think they show her in one of the sound features.

I just take the Tales of the Bounty Hunters as Folklore about the Bounty Hunters...I suppose I give more creedance to the BHW series.

Actually jedisaber, the sarlacc is semisentient. Boba talks with him while he is down in the sarlacc's mouth. That story is "A Barve Like That" in Tales of Bounty Hunters. The story was good... the sarlacc told Boba that he had a bad attitude. I think that was the story where Leia spends the night in Boba's room.
Yeah... I'm beginning to like Jango better than Boba too. He's cleaner looking; got class.

I think Boba Fett is obviously the best bounty hunter! he kept his independancy and didnt sell out to his doom like daddy did! but i really wanna see boba in the NJO! well at least like a clone of Boba! he could be a vong killing machine but still stay independant of the Galactic Alliance (if you havent read the NJO do so! and dont worry it picks up after the first few books)

Oh yeah and IG-88 is AWESOME too id love to see some more of him! but whatever the case we need some more bounty hunter action

Hey, I'll be the first to admit that Boba and Jango deserve some props but what about your other classic bounty hunters like the IG-88 series. Any robot that can go toe-to-toe with Fett and actually do some major damage to his ship before getting fragged deserves some respect.
