That´s what I was thinking, could be cool, the clone veterans still use their old uniforms, they have not being upgraded, and the new clones get the new improved versions at the clone "factory".

I like how the promotion for Ep3 seems to be including some OT stuff, as if to say "now that the complate saga is available, we're going to celebrate it (and hope you'll buy some crap)".
I've read some comments online, people saying that they were angry that OT footage was included in the Ep3 teaser. And the inference is that the PT really isn't part of the Saga, and how dare Lucas sully the OT by placing it side-by-side with these new films.
I just don't get it.

Oooooh Uncle GL always after the quick buck...not a bad stradegy though there are ton of kids out there who probably haven't seen the OT and will be curious after this movie comes out and a few toys from the OT will get them hooked even faster....and turn them into another generation of star war junkies... style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blush.gif

Is that Vader, bottom middle?
I must admit, I haven't been a big fan of the PT toys in general. Some of the figuers are nice, but some are just horrible (AOTC toys had some weird figure sculpts). I'll end up buying the Ep3 figs, though. I'm hopelessly addicted.
I love the Clone Wars cartoons figures, though. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif Can't wait for wave 2, with the animated version of Greivous.

On the back of the R4-G9 Snak Preview figure's card it says…
R4-G9 is an astromech droid that accompanies Obi-Wan Kenobi on a mission to the SINK HOLE PLANET of Utapau, where Obi-Wan hopes to destroy General Grievous, the supreme commander of the Separatist droid armies.
Has anyone yet heard of Utapau being a sink hole planet?
T-bone

I did a report on the call sheets a while back - have a looky.

geez...i dont reckon my bank balance will be able to stretch to even half of these....and if it did, i bet we only get the first couple of waves here in the UK...
the last set here we had was the Clone Wars wave one (only) & 8 Figures from the OTC figures in TRU and that was it...the rest were straight to comic shops etc...no other major stores stock star wars stuff any more...
i think we will get a big inital push here of merchandise then it'll fade away...but i'm still gonna be queing at TRU at midnight like last time to get the fresh pick of the cases (when TRU staff just left the fresh cases on the floor and let the SW fans pick what they wanted - which was nice) ....style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

^^i agree - even if these guys do get everything of the first 28 figures - it is almost certain (even here in the UK) the first wave of figures always hits the shelves in plentiful numbers (and at $10 a piece plus shipping its a bit steep)
...IMO it wont be hard to get the first 28 figures...(and i'd be wary of buying from someone with a low '10' rating...even if they are all positive....)
i mean, in reality, i could do the same auction because, i could, in theory get hold of the first 28 figures and sell them two months in advance and then ship them when i get them...even if it too all of next year...
its a nice idea...but this guy doesn't have the stock YET!
i don't doubt the validity of the guy but i would wonder why someone would pay $280 upfront for nothing for at least two months and no guarentee of when the shipment will be completed....

I'm not so hot on the action features, but it's nice that they are incorporating them into the figures without levers or buttons sticking of of 'em. I just hope all that leg-squeezin' action does'nt prevent the figures from standing well.
I REALLY like the collection two jedi with more static poses (with robes even!) and I hope we get a few hero jedi done this way too.
The packaging. It's a bit garish and for us older collecters, it doesn't like it will stack easily...a little nit, but hey...as we wind into the last film here, storage is a consideration! On the plus side, the bubbles look like they'll hold up of the pegs well and it definately has has distinctive look to it compared to the basic format the line has featured since it's return in '95. I guess this oldtimer was spoiled by last year's superbly done VOTC & OTC packaging.
Judging from the lists floating around, it looks like we'll be getting a fair number of figures from ROTS....I just hope secondary characters don't get the short end of the saber in lieu of endless rescuplts ala EpOne. Time will tell...
Oh, and while I'm thinking of it....has anyone heard any rumbles on what Action Collection entries we might see? Ani, Obi & Grevious are pretty much a given but any noises about other characters (Bail Organa, Kit Fisto, T Mendon come immediately to mind...)

i'm wondering when the republic stops using the burgundy / dirty white (cream) colour scheme on its vehicles..., as it doesn't appear in the OT....but is quite abundant in the PT...a lot of stuff must get ditched in the years between ROTS & ANH....

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>Hasbro Issues Profit Warning
Wednesday, January 12, 2005
NEW YORK — Toymaker Hasbro Inc. (HAS) said on Wednesday its full-year net revenue would drop and forecast earnings well below Wall Street expectations, citing a tough retail environment and disappointing performance domestically.
Hasbro also said it would exceed its goal of delivering cash flow from operations, less capital expenditures, or free cash flow of $250 million. The company plans to end the year with significant cash, net of debt, which it has not done since 1997, Chief Financial Officer David Hargreaves said in a statement.
The company, whose brands include Playskool (search), Tonka (search) and Milton Bradley (search), expects 2004 earnings per share to be about flat with the 2003 profit of 94 cents, which was restated due to a required accounting change. Analysts have a mean target of $1.22 per share, according to Reuters Estimates.
Net revenue should be about $3 billion, down from 2003's $3.1 billion, Hasbro said. Analysts, on average, forecast $3.078 billion.
Shares of Pawtucket, R.I.-based Hasbro were up 23 cents, or 1.2 percent, at $18.90 on the New York Stock Exchange (search).
The company took actions in the fourth quarter, primarily in U.S. Toys, to cut expenses going forward, Chief Executive Alfred Verrecchia said in a statement.
[/b][/quote]
Actually, I'd say the opposite. The EP3 stuff will have a positive effect on Hasbro.
Darth Darthy
01-12-2005, 03:39 PM
The analysts will have included that positive revenue in their projections though. The Star Wars license must be quite a big boost in a short space of time for Hasbro but they always seem to produce more then they need too. Some AOTC toys were obviously over produced or poorly managed. Those Reeks and other not-so-desirable figures are still on sale at the moment in some places at real low prices. I still won't buy one though. They're rubbish.

The new Postnotes on the OS verifies the name of that speeder is a BARC speeder and there's a pic of a female Jedi on one too.
It also says she's riding with a patrol of clones(hopefully the green ones) on Saleucami (isn't that a sausage?) which is a planet with twilight plains with huge bulbous plantlife.
Jedi on speeder toys will be made. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

Not to mention the fact he has an Ep3 scene playing in front of him and he looks away. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif Or so he claims.

The Asaaj is in the Unleashed line only and while she's the only non-ROTS related character on that list,it wouldn't suprise me for Hasbro to throw her in with them.
If she was listed under the actual basic figure line I'd speculate.
