Signature Sabers

[Kit]

Seeing the love for Frendon's wonderful "action-avatars" I figured I would do my part with the ever growing trend of sig-sabers.

Most everybody here has the same hilt and words with glow for color (which is cool, but personally, it gets a little boreing). So I would like to know if anybody would like these hilts:

If you do, I know how to turn them for you and if you do so wish, I can even put the blade on them like the one in my signature and Jamielee's.

If you want one please post in this thread which hilt by a row, column (ex: Darth Maul's would be Row 4, Column 10) and state the color you would like the blade.

Darth Arraics, to put it to your signature do as follows:
-Right click on the lightsaber, and go to PROPERTIES
-Find the URL and copy it
-Go to edit your signature and click the MOUNTAIN POST CARD in the CODE BUTTON options.
-paste the URL that you copied into the box provided and click OK

That should get you to where you want to be.

If you don't mind, I'd like the hilt in the third row down, 8th column from the left. The funky looking gold one with the guard. As for blade color, I was thinking something in a green, but I'm unsure what shade. Maybe mixed with a little bit of silver or something... I don't know... How's this? ah... a question far too common among Jedi...

-on your control pannel go to SIGNATURE
-now take the picture I posted RIGHT CLICK it and go to PROPERTIES
-then copy the URL of the picture
-click the IMAGE TAGS in your sig control pannel (the little mountain post card)
-then add the URL where it says to
-click OK and you have a sig- saber!

Dang, you know, you couldn't have had a worse time to ask that, a few days ago I deleted a PM that I described that in detail.

And sorry for the slow reply, I haven't been around all too often.

Well, here it goes:
1) I take the image of lightsabers into Bitmap and crop it to one hilt
2) I lengthen the image so a blade can fit.
3) With the blade there are three parts a white center, a light shade of the color, then the actual color
4) I save that and then go into a "Photo Shop-like" program, which on my computer I have Photo Impression. Then I make the saber smaller through the program.
5) When that's done I save it again, but I convert it to a GIF (but JPEG works somewhat better, I've found).

Those are the simple, basic steps I take for it all. For a good saber it takes about 10-15 minutes.

Thought I'd just post my sigsaber from the Testing thread since it could be deleted at any time. BTW, Kit, I used a similar method to yours to make my sigsaber. All you need to do Darthy is hit "Add Reply" here, and then towards the bottom of the reply there is a box; to the right of that is a button that says "Browse". The button allows you to browse your hard drive for the image (in this case, a sig-saber) that you want on this site. And then you add that URL of the image into your signature. Do you follow me?

In reality, Obi Wan wasn't using the same ones I don't think. But as for in the story, I haven't the slightest clue. Guess it depends if he looses his lightsaber again in Ep. III. If he does, that'll be funny.

And as for Yoda's saber hilt, I also have no clue.

To be honest I don't think so either.......I used to have an action figure of Yoda (eons ago) which had a saber. It was kind of stubby, like Yoda himself! But at that time we didn't know, Yoda used a lightsaber (you know, Episode V).
