hey im starting a new post on starwars hobbies,
im starting to research how/what sabaac is but is got so many different things that can happen.

what i know,
sabaac has four suits- sabres, coins, flasks, and (i keep forgetting the last suit)- and the order from lowest to highest for the rank cards of each suit is-commander,mistress,master,and ace- and the game includes cards titled-balance,moderation,the evil one,the idiot, the queen of air and darkness, and the star.there is an interdiction field that can change the value of a discarded card, and a droid dealer

what you want to do is try to get as close to positive or negative 23, which is pure sabaac. you want to stay far away from zero (0) and the cards can be both + or- if negative then the cards are inverted (up-side down) you can get an atoumatic win with an "Idiots Array" which is an idiot, a 2 and a 3 of any suits.

hey,
also there is dejarrick, which is the equivalent tto our chess. i only know the names of 2 pieces, which are the kintan strider and the rancor. its a holo based board

Wouldn't it be impossible to play Sabaac, say, at a table like we play poker? It would have to be done in some type of computer game or something. Don't the cards randomly change while playing?

That last suit is Staves, and in each suit there are also 10 numbered cards. And you could play sabaac but the cards just wouldn't randomize and you'd have to use a Tarot deck.

yes
bt they are no cards but instead little screens that are called chips.
but all of the rank cards are balance, moderation, demise, endurance, the star, the evil one, the idiot, and the queen of air and darkness.

its a 76 chip carddeck, with randomizer, and interfield

Did you read The Han Solo Trilogy. I think it gave a basic run down of how to play Sabaac (at least the object of the game). I think it was in Rebel Dawn that I read about that. I could have been The Hutt Gambit though.

The more I think about it, a Sabaac video game or mini-game in a Star Wars game would be fun.

thats what im studying it for, i thought that if i got a god lok to it and a fun play, maybe sombody from hasbro or something would make it

You can get the basic rules by reading the old Lando calrissian adventures. And I used to know a website that had a playable download of the game...I'll try and find it.

there are all different types of rules, for ex: the Bespin Cloud City Standard, or Random Sabaac (which uses differnet combo of rules)

I know that ''Lando Calrissian and the Mindharp of the Sharu'' has A little info on sabaac, but you would probablyhave to go to a used book store to get it.NO PROMISES.

Dave Wolverton's The Courtship of Princess Leia, Kevin J. Anderson's Jedi Academy Trilogy, Timothy Zahn's Thrawn Trilogy, Neil Smith's Lando Calrissian Trilogy and Ann C. Crispin's Han Solo trilogy all had portions of the rules in them.

I believe I have the Sabacc game on my PC at home. I can look for it and put it on my website if you like...the version I have shuts down at varying intervals, though. But it is interesting to play.

I actually know someone that made an interactive sabacc site!! style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif

His handle is Gremlin and he's a member of the Cloud City Cantina chatroom. The site he made is really cool and he knows every detail of Sabacc. You should get a hold of him, because he can get what you want.
