I Need A Little Bit Of Info

Okay... I'm writing a Star Wars book that someday (hopefully) I'd like to get published. Unfortunately, I haven't read alot of the books or comics so I don't know quite as much as you all out there. I've only read Rogue Planet, The Approaching Storm, The Han Solo Trilogy, The Bounty Hunter Trilogy, the first 4 rogue squadron books, and Truce at Bakura. I'm trying to get as much knowledge as I can (including saving most of the database of Starwars.com which doesn't really help that much. Anyway... I know that some of you out there have read like EVERY book and like EVERY comic and stuff like that. If I coulkd please get some answers to these questions, it would be MOST appreciated. Any links too would be nice.

Here are some of the questions:
-After the Bounty Hunter trilogy, is there any books or comics right after it that have Boba Fett as the main character. We know he lives but is there anything specific that happens after those three books? Is there just a blank space until when?

-Chubbit. PLEASE. Any info you have on a chubbit. (What they eat, how tall) any websites about them?

-Individual Field Disruptor. What it does. I've heard that it makes a force field. Is this true? If and how can it be used as a weapon.

-What are the planets that contain mostly humans, and aren't the typical Alderaan. (Like, kinda scruffy places. Any info about them. What customs... I'm looking for a place that isn't very well known. Like not Corellia or something like that.)

Lucasfilm doesn't accept creative submissions from anyone but previously published authors. Just wanted to point that out. And if you send them something without consent from Del Rey/Ballentine/Random House, they won't accept it. Just a little reference note, I've had to tell that to a lot of aspiring authors at the Official Site message forum.

That basically means that it creates an energy field that negates the effects of energy fences but can also be used as a personal shield against low power lasers and most kinetic attacks.

I don't know the title or anything, but the author's name is Tyler Richiardson (dang, I dunno if I'm supposed to say that on this website). He met George Lucas and talked with him about the details of getting it done at Skywalker ranch. Assuming that you're right would that mean someone would have to get permission from Ballantine to send something to Lucasfilm?

Ord Mantell- any info. Casinos, those in charge, anything.

The beginning of Truce at Bakura (I can't remember, how do the rebels get the message exactly? What spacecraft are they on? How long do they wait until actually leaving, and if possible, what star system are they in when they recieve it? They mention something like diverting their forces. Where were the rest of the rebels stationed?)

Onyx-2 (TIE Defender) Who made it, it's capabilities, and when it was actually used.

Credits (what are they? Are they actual physical currency? Or is it digital that are transferred from computers.)

Credit coins (What increments are the coins in? I know there is a such thing as a ten-credit coin {I think})

B'omarr monks (When exactly did they retake Jabba's Palace?)

Oh yeah... since it looks incredibly unlikely it'll be published anyway, I'll give whoever wants to know the lowdown on my book, "Star Wars: (I'm leaning towards "Shadow Wraith, or "Phantom Planet." Considering Phantom Planet is a band, I'm probably going to name it "Shadow Wraith" unless I think of something better)"
Anyway, I'll give some stuff about it. I've already written the first few chapters. I'm fairly pleased with it so, far (except I can't get the facts straight, hence this thread!) I started to write one a few months ago, but it turned out to be a total rip-off of AOTC. Anyway, back to the point.

Timing: A side story of Truce at Bakura. It takes place at the same time.
Main Character: Jors Dedon (mid 20's male, white hair, sharp blue eyes, Corellian {or so he thinks}, rescued by his uncle when he was young from a pirate raid that killed his family, only to be abused by his uncle. After not-so-accidently killing his uncle, (I'll explain in the book. It has something to do with the darkside) he runs away to be raised by the streets (I'm going to expand on this later), anyway, through a serious of things, he ends up partnering with Boba Fett. Boba Fett (since he doesn't want anyone to know that he's alive) employs Jors as a delivery boy. Boba Fett gets the hard merchandise, Jors delivers it, simple. But, also Fett gives many tasks to Jors, that make him better and better until he eventually does just as much as Fett. Jors learns that he has ties to the Fett family. Yada... yada... a Technician on Geonisis and his apprentice, try to hunt Boba Down (for a pretty cool and logical reason)... blah, blah, Jors finds out a recently undicovered planet... blah.. blah... blah... You'll have to wait and see. Oh, yeah... I might call the title "Dirty Jedi" because Jors actually has a strong sense of the Force. Even though he doesn't want to train as a Jedi, he accidently uses it a fews times.

At the beggining of TaB rebel forces are still at Endor. The TIE Defender is made by Seinar Fleet Systems, has modest sheilds, a class 2 hyperdrive, 4 lasers, 2 ion cannons, 2 projectile launchers, is extremely maneuverable, used originaly to defeat Grand Admiral Zaarin's attempted coup d' etat, then in the most elite imperial fighter wings as well as the Invid fleet and Isards fighter group from X-W:IR. Credits are physical currency produced in standard increment coins although one could opt for a cred card that withdraws directly from a bank account. And the B'ommar monks retook Jabba's palace within 6 months of his death.

If you want reference materials there are quite a few books that can help you...

Any and all of the "Essential Guides to..." books. They have them for worlds and planets, weapons, droids, animals, characters...etc.

Also there is a couple of reference books by an author named...Steve Slavicik I think(I can get back to you on it)...Its kind of like a reference dictionary. That can answer questions you may have on credits and duracrete and how they are used...Its in PB form and is pretty thick, but a great tool for the types of ???s you are asking.

ah, dang it. I accidentily hit send post after that last post. What I was going to say, I'm really glad that everybody is helping me out. But, about that Truce of Bakura question, I wanted to know it a little more specifically. I can't remember because I read the book quite a while ago. I think she said Luke was on the Home 1 when Admiral Ackbar and the rest of the commanding officers get the message. Uhhh... some more questions:

-What does Yoda tell Luke (exactly) about him being the last of the Jedi. I would watch ROTJ if I could but I don't even own it (I can hear all your gasps! Yes, from all the way from over here)

-How long did Truce at Bakura take? (From when the rebels got the message, to the very end of the book. Was it like a week or something?)

-What happens to the Slave 1 after the Bounty Hunter wars? The last Bounty Hunter book doesn't really say. I wondered if it said in a later book, or a comic or something?

-Boba Fett (Is there any recorded time when he actually dies in later books?)

- What are the two names of the med droids that help fix up Boba Fett after he survives the sarlacc?

- Any details about the sarlacc.

I've decided to give my new fanfic a test run. If I get ALOT of positive response, I'll keep it up, if not, I'll scrap it. So, if you like it, and you want more, tell me. for some of your questions i can't answer i don't know very much about boba fett..

I've been trying for a few years now to get my books published, and the fact I'm an unknown and also an Australian doesn't help, so I'm going to go about it the long way... get a few books published elsewhere. I'm doing a Uni course next year that will qualify me for many things, including being an Author, Editor, and freelance publisher. That should get my foot in the door, so all I'll need then is the strength to shove it wide open and step through.

well fortunately i know tons.
1- i dont know about right after those books what he does, cause i have yet to read them all, only just started them. but eventually he does reappear during the young jedi knight series in "shards of alderaan" and "jedi bounty", in the first trying to capture the solo twins and friends, but failing, then in the second searching for the solo twins' friend-raynar thul's father who has the computer with the "emperors plague secret" in it, but SPOILER -- in one of the Force Heretic books han and leia end up meeting boba but this time on friendly terms
2-??? try for a essential guide to starwars creatures

4- ha ha, so far i have catalogged about 400 diff planets and thats only from 1/3 of the starwars books i own, but you could try places like Nar Shadaa(the smugglers moon), or you could try "the smugglers run" from TNR which is a series of colinized asteroids
