This poll has been created at the request of Luuke.

I added "Other" incase I missed one, and also for people like me who like a variety of music. So here's what I like to listen to:

Classical
Jazz
Rock & Roll (classic from the 50's and 60's)
Country (depends on my mood)
Adult Contemporary
Contemporary Symphonic

If you look through my CD collection, it's mostly soundtracks though. Don't know exactly where they'd fall in. I also like New Age like Mannheim Steamroller and Kurt Bestor. (Or maybe that's what Luuke meant by Contemporary Symphonic)

i mainly listen to rock, but i like all types. i dont like country that much, it annoys me. My cd colection has a HUGE variety from heavy metal(Anthrax Metallica Tool) to soundtracks to classical to classic rock(Floyd Queen Beatles) to new wave (Enya and the likes). Plus i play guitar, so musical influence and diversity is a MUST.

I chose other. I listen to a wide variety of stuff from rock to R&B to rap to classic rock to gospel to movie scores (i.e. Star Wars, John Williams). It just depends on my mood.

I'm gonna have to agree with OBGates, it truely depends on my mood. I like all of those. Mostly (in order of most favorite:

Rock
Classical
R&B

But it also depends on how the song is written and sung. Like, though I'm not a big fan or rap at all, there are a few songs that are rap I like.

lord, I love loads of different kinds of music. Sometimes tunes just appeal to me, I'd never dismiss any form of music (except that irritating Irish demon of dirge Daniel O'Donnell, I would personally chew my own leg off before I listened to him *shudders*).
I especially like jazz

classical (check out Prokofievs 'Capulets and montagues' from romeo and juliet...fab!)

I vote "other", since it's difficult to narrow it down to one choice. I listen to classical music, 50's and 60's rock (before rock got ruined by the Beatles and the British invasion), American folk music (but NOT Bob Dylan) and some pop music. I'm not into heavy/death metal and I strongly dislike rap.

Soundtrack, from HP to Jurassic Park to SW to other stuff. Plus Batman Begins' music is wonderful.

I like anything I hear that sticks in my mind. From hip hop to r/b to classic rock and alternative. If I hear it and like the tune, i'll get it. My playlist ranges from Yeah! to eminem to SW sountrack to that numa numa song.

My radio is just on 101.7 WS FM all day, almost all night so that kinda has everything that was around in the 60's, 70's and 80's. However right now it is "Rocktober" so I am being bombarded with Rock music, which isn't too bad. But I wasn't thinking when I voted, so I accidentally clicked "Contemporary Symphonic" but at the time I was thinking of the Star Wars soundtrack so...yeah.
