Pick your favorite feature-length Disney Classic, and tell us why.

This is a list of some of the films that were made between the 30's and 60's, before Walt Disney died, so don't get mad if The Lion King is your favorite and it's not on here.

Originally I had 15 movies on here, but I can only put 10 in the poll, so I had to take out a few and stick them on one line. If you picked the last choice, tell us which one of those movies it was. If I forgot one, tell me.

I'm making a poll for the modern ones, too.

This is a tough one. I guess I don't really have a preference with these choices. I haven't seen them all, but I liked all the ones that I have seen.

If I had to choose, it would probably be Junge Book because I like the Baloo character.

I posted this on another thread:

The best Disney animated film ever is Sleeping Beauty.

The style of animation is really cool, slightly less cartoony than most of the other Disney movies, and it isn't cluttered up with songs.

It has a good plot, a cool villain, and the scene at the end with Prince Phillip fighting the dragon in the giant briar patch was really cool.

The use of Tchaikovsky's "Sleeping Beauty Suite" in the score is a really nice touch.

My favorites from the list:

1.) Pinocchio, because I liked the animation so much. The art is very flowing and very realistic.

2.) Robin Hood, because I liked the songs from the film, such as "The Phony King of England", and the action sequences like the fight after the Archery tournament.

Sleeping Beauty, because her Prince actually had a name!!! style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

I actually liked all the characters in SB and thought the villain was very villainous.

I voted Sleeping Beauty. It's been a long while since I've watched these movies, but they are all very good and it was a hard choice to make. But in the end it came down to Sleeping Beauty because of it's ending battle with the dragon.

Jeeze. Everybody's voting in the "Modern Disney Movie" poll, but only a few people have voted in this one.

It's probably because some people haven't seen these movies at all or they haven't seen them in a long time.

It's a tie between The Sword in the Stone and Dumbo.

I really like Dumbo. Especially in Who framed Roger Rabbit ?,... style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif

Everybody knows they just came out with a two-disc special edition DVD of Sleeping Beauty right? Alice in Wonderland is Disney's next special edition DVD project.

The Sword in the Stone. I love how Merlin beat the Madame Mimm - turning into "malapadiptinocturosis" or whatever - now that is practical wizardry, sir. Take note, Gandalf.

I never finished that movie, it was sooooo boring that I even turned off the TV without turning off the VCR.

I love Robin Hood! I remember as a little kid watching that everyday for like a week straight when it came out. Sword and the Stone was also one of my favorites and Sleeping Beauty might be the best one... But I voted for Robin Hood. I love that song "Every town has its ups and downs. Sometimes ups outnumber the downs. But not in Nottingham." style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crying.gif And Robin's such a fox style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wub.gif style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

Wow! Something else besides Star Wars and the Beatles we both like! I first saw the movie when I was six, and I was instantly hooked. I loved the song "The Phoney King of England", and the action sequence at the end. It was a great movie.

definitely. I just wished Robin got to sing more than just that one bit where he was humming. Whoever did his voice had a really nice voice.

I didn't vote because I have a three way tie between Sword in the Stone, Robin Hood, and Peter Pan.

Snow White. Whadda filck!

Although I haven't seen Bambi - I have a feeling it would win over Snow White for me.

Robin Hood OWNED. Alice in Wonderland was a total Acid Trip though. The guy who wrote that was definitely a stoner.

Maybe it's just because I watched "Hook" but Peter Pan really had a big effect on me when I was a kid. I remember waking up one moring after a very vivid dream, packing my suitcase, and going to tell my parents that Peter Pan was going to pick me up soon so don't be too worried if I'm gone. I waited and waited and waited and.... yeah, he never came. But that didn't stop my idolization of him. To this day I sometimes have the most vivid flying dreams.

I love the sword in the stone. It was one of the few that my younger bro didn't really like so he didn't watch it 10 times a day. He did that with dumbo and peter pan and robin hood. I can't watch those three movies now.
