Indeed he was. Now there is some speculation going around as to where he will end up. Will he go to Smackdown just another face in the crowd, or should he go to Raw and start a feud with Shawn Michaels? I am hoping they ignite a feud. They should in theory be at each others throats. If you were the power behind the team and your partner made it amazingly huge...wouldn't you be at least a little pissed?

MXCABRINI

BTW, I feel so much in home here, knopwing Im not the only one that hates Cena and Orton. :moptop:

The way Raw went, it really really looks like Batista will beat Triple H at Wrestlemania. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif And everything Triple H said about him being a great wrestler, true!
He's the reason I watch Raw.

How about Orton putting the RKO on Stacy Kiebler, I was all WTF!!!
DarthAnakin
03-22-2005, 06:09 PM
I saw it comming, when he said " There's something i've wanted to do for a long time " I knew it was going to happen. Took a bit longer than I thought, but still happened.

I wasn't expecting it, I was shocked. Crap, does this mean he's going to turn heel or will he redeem himself. As he was going up the ramp, it looked like as if he didn't know he just did what did. He had a look as if what he did made him sick.
darthimmus
03-22-2005, 08:29 PM
I think he's going heel again.
DarthAnakin
03-22-2005, 08:33 PM
Yeah so do I. Going up against the Undertaker and RKOing Stacy pretty much makes you a heel.
MXCABRINI
03-22-2005, 11:22 PM
Cool, that should make him a better wrestler, next up Cena becoming a heel.
DarthAnakin
03-23-2005, 03:19 AM
Well if they're making Orton a heel again, they should've kept him in Evolution.
Jedi_Poo
03-23-2005, 12:35 PM
True about that. How does facing Taker make you a heel. I figure if you can take down the Deadman that would get you started. Well in Orton's case, yeah it would make you a hell.
DarthAnakin
03-23-2005, 05:52 PM
I guess they're making him a heel by making him so damn cocky. Eventually he'll say he hates the fans and he'll be hated again.
MXCABRINI
03-23-2005, 06:17 PM
He has always been cocky, the fans just liked him for fighting HHH
DarthAnakin
03-23-2005, 06:20 PM
I liked him when he was part of evolution, then he left so I stopped liking him.
MXCABRINI
03-23-2005, 06:21 PM
When he bacame a face...... I never liked him face or heel.
MXCABRINI
03-23-2005, 06:23 PM
I just hate of the WWE that they give shots to new guys that doesn't have too much "wrestling" talent in a year or two, and then i hate it more when i see it takes too long for awesome wrestlers like Benoit or Eddie to have a shot at the title.
DarthAnakin
03-23-2005, 06:23 PM
He was entertaining as a heel, ever since he's gotten boring. That's why they're amking him a heel again, but it wont be the same.
MXCABRINI
03-23-2005, 06:26 PM
They should do the same with Cena.
DarthAnakin
03-23-2005, 06:28 PM
I guess, but I don't like Cena as a face and I won't like him as a heel.
Jedi_Poo
03-23-2005, 06:33 PM
CENA! CENA! CENA! haha i like messing with you guys.
Orton's heel turn reminds me of two other wrestlers who turned heel. IF YA SMELL; WHAT? give you any hints.
DarthAnakin
03-23-2005, 06:36 PM
Orton's not nearly as popular as The Rock or Stone Cold ever where.
MXCABRINI
03-24-2005, 12:50 AM
Yes, Stone Cold always rocked.
The Rock was cool ina momen, but now he sucks, the fame has killed him.
Jedi_Poo
03-24-2005, 12:06 PM
What, the Rock is still one of the greatest wrestlers ever, the fame has just sidelined his wrestler stardom.
DarthAnakin
03-24-2005, 07:44 PM
Stone Cold is in a league of his own though, without a doubt the most popular wrestler ever in the WWE.
MXCABRINI
03-27-2005, 12:25 AM
I think the most popular ever will be Hulk Hogna talking about past wrestlers.
DarthAnakin
03-27-2005, 12:57 AM
Hulk Hogan was definitely popular, but no one got the crowd more excited than Stone Cold, and im not saying this because I like him (because I don't) I just remember how the crowd goes crazy everytime his theme song goes on.
MXCABRINI
03-27-2005, 05:02 AM
I like him, but i have to say HULKAMANIA still rulez
darthimmus
03-27-2005, 02:22 PM
The thing about Hogan is that he was the first wrestler to really make a huge impact on pop culture. It seems like everybody knows who Hogan is.
DarthAnakin

Yeah but he had alot of his success in WCW, im talking about the most popular WWF/WWE wrestler.

Yeah, Sting was one of the coolest. I think I heard he is doing this christian wrestling thing with the Ted Dibiose, think I spelled that right, aka Million Dollar Man. I saw it on tv once on this channel that is like church 24-7.
On the whole WWF/WCW thing, I would've liked to see Shane run WCW and a big feud between father and son could have erupted.

after WCW folded, he could of went for at least a match or two IMO.

Naw, he was better off going down with ship on WCW than getting mixed up with WWF/WWE. I wouldn't have minded him going that way but he was better off there.

Mania was sweet but JBL vs. John Cena was pretty short for a main event. It's tough to pick the match of night but I don't think it was either of the title matches. HBK vs. Kurt was pretty good, and Randy Orton vs. Undertaker had a few exciting moments....hmmmm I dunno, Rey vs. Eddie was pretty good too....errrr

Edge took the ladder match and gets a title shot whenever he wants
Akebono beat Big Show(they both wore Sumo garmets...ehhhh)
Trish beat Christy
Austin and Piper beat up Carlito and then Austin stunned Piper
Undertaker beat Orton(but it had some close calls)
Kurt made HBK tap out
John Cena beat JBL to become the new WWE Champ(match was only about 10 min long)
Batista beat Triple H to become new World Heavyweight Champ(Triple H bled like usual)

Its tradition for the faces to win at Wrestlemania. That rule has only been broken a couple times. This year it was easy to see that both Faces would win. JBL's had the belt forever so he was due and the same for Triple H. I'm really disappointed that the WWE Title match was so short. Talk about selling Smackdown short.

04-04-2005, 05:13 PM
I agree with you on the fact that it wasn't that good of a match. I rank the sumo match the Big Show had higher than the WWE championship match. I was over to quick. But Cena still rules. AHAHAHAHAHAHA
MXCABRINI
04-04-2005, 05:22 PM
Could you open your eyes for a bit, how can you love a guy who killed a Main Event with lowclass wrestling?
I wouldn,t mind if his match was a single mid card one, but he killed a Wrestlemanias main event! The match that's supposed to be the best of the year.
Jedi_Poo
04-04-2005, 05:26 PM
No the match you are talking about would be when Batista destroyed HHH and won the title. Cena's match was a joke but he still won.
MXCABRINI
04-04-2005, 05:34 PM
Both are main events, Raw match was the last one just because Batista won the RoyalRumble, and batista match was bad too.
Jedi_Poo
04-04-2005, 05:39 PM
What, no it wasn't. He manhandled HHH and that is what I was hoping to see. What I didn't want to see was Orton being Tombstone Piledrived, I predicted that Orton would win and Taker would call it quits. I was proved wrong and the Deadman is forever, like Hulkamania. Watcha gonna do brother!!!!!

04-04-2005, 05:43 PM
I thought the woman's match was kinda of crappy. Christy looked lost out there, I know she's just starting out but i think they rushed her a bit to capitalize the the Playboy spread.
Orton-Undertaker was pretty good, I like when Orton reversed the chokeslam into the RKO.
Angle-HBK was pretty good..I'm getting a little bored tith the Ankle lock.
JBL-Cena was just odd. JBL worked him over the whole match and then out of nowhere Cena hit the F-U and it was over.
Batista-HHH was ok...I like the last reversal he used to escape the Pedigree.

Rey- Eddie- Awesome
Money in the Bank Match- Awesome
Womens title- crappy
Sumo- They should have paid me to watch that
Pipers Pit- Awesome
Hogan- Good, could have been better
Taker- Orton- Really good, better then I thought it would be
Angle- Michaels- Match of the Night, the first 5 minutes were boring. But it really got good
Cena-JBL- Blowoff match, this match could have been good if it was no-dq and these two just went around the arena for 15-20 minutes beating eachother up.
Batista-Triple H- Better then expected.
I'd rank this as a pretty good Mania. Not as good as 17 or 19. But still good.

There has to be a reason why the match was cut to ten minutes. Cena is still improving but he isn't terrible enough to go only 10, and they certainly wouldn't put the belt on him if they felt he was poor. There is a chance that this match was another case of Smackdown being pushed aside for the Raw Main Event, or just poor booking.

Yeah, I think he wrestled when RAW came to Oklahoma City. He wrestled a expo match against some dude that wrestles in his backyard. They wrestle for Sunday Night Heat or one of those show before RAW.

I never watch Heat, it's for the new guys that are trying to really make an impact.

Yeah, newbies are fun to watch though, they get all pumped up and then get the tar kicked out of them.

Actually there's not only newbies on it, there's also guys that have been around for a while that aren't entertaining. I have much better things to do than watch Heat.

I normally don't watch Heat or Velocity. Although, if Paul London is on Velocity I'll watch.

There are the two main shows Raw and Smackdown. Heat and Velocity are the "B-shows" where the young guys wrestle. Sometimes you have a big start like Cena, Flair, Benoit, etc. go on their to boost ratings.
Afterburn and Bottomline are the recap shows for Raw and Smackdown respectively. Nothin new happens on these shows.

You can also watch "TNA: Impact" on Fox Sports Net. This is where you go to see old washed up talent like Nash, DDP, Jarrett, X-Pac, Billy Gunn, Road Dogg etc.
And incredible up and comers like AJ Styles, Petey Williams, etc. Petey Williams' finisher is a sick flipping piledriver called the Canadian Destroyer. If I find a pic, I'll post it. It's definitely one of the best moves in wrestling.
They also have veterans who never really made it to WWE or WCW. Chris Daniels in particular, he's an excellent wrestler and he has the best moonsault ever (actual name of the move). I'll try to find a video of that too.

They should probably drop Smackdown and focus on a more compelling Raw show.
