Ok, French vanilla is good, but plain vanilla sucks and so does the smell of vanilla used in candles, garbage bags and air fresheners. Vanilla that you use to make cookies is yummy.

We haven't bought ice cream in nearly 4 years. Not only because my son has diabetes, but because he's allergic to wheat and gluten. Most ice cream contains malt, and that is a wheat product.

Oh well.

Anyway, if we're talking of ice cream I'd have voted for vanilla, if we're talking of everything else I'd have voted for chocolate, so,... I vote for both of them.

Oh, Bliz, sorry to hear that. The diabetes and allergy thing. I know some people with diabetes, and I understand very well with the allergies. My little cousin used to be allergic to at least twenty food products. And I remember having to watch out for what I was eating around him and what I gave him. He's grown out of some of those, but I still have to watch peanut products very carefully around him. (Which is a real practice of self-control for me because I adore Reese's.) And another friend of my is allergic to all dairy so when my friends and I go out as a group we have to make sure we get lunch or dinner somewhere where she can actually have the food as well. And it's really amazing how many things have milk in them. But we still love her... (you know what I mean...)
