From the entire saga so far what is your favorite score?

Mine, from the PT, is when Anakin is holding Shmi's body and the music starts to deepen and build, and it zooms right in on Anakin's eyes and he gets that "look".

From the OT its the Imperial Theme, played during the first scene focusing on the Empire in ESB, the Star Destroyers amassed and TIEs buzzing around, total awesomeness.

From the Prequels I have to say that Duel Of The Fates is fantastic, and from the OT, well, I think the best music is from Empire,... I like very much Lando's Palace. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

My favorite themes would have to be, Boba Fetts, and Palps', those were just wicked cool man!!!!!! style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sly.gif

From TPM, "Duel of the Fates" was great, the perfect addition to a score that was some what lacking.

The love theme form AOTC, was superb, just wonderful music, as well as "Han and the Princess" from esb, and Yoda's theme, they are all very soft and peaceful, full of emotional charge.

Movie to movie, I'd have to say Episode V represents Williams' maximum opus.

Single most-moving cue, though, to me remains in Episode VI where Vader is serenaded with the Force theme for the first time, as he grabs his master and gives him a flying leap.

Honorable mentions go to:

1) The first full run of the Force theme in Episode I as Shmi relates to Qui-Gon the details of Anakin's conception.

2) The point in Episode IV where, as Vader's bearing down on Luke in the trench, the fortissimo staccatto gives way to a more ethereal playing of the Force theme as Obi-Wan implores Luke to let go and use the Force. Moved me to tears a few times.

3) The first-ever sweeping use of the Force theme as Luke stands there staring at G1 and G2 before heading back to the garage. To me it was the reason God created the French horn.

Yes how could I forget the Force theme, and Luke and Leia's theme from ROTJ.

That theme was good too, and unfortunately got kinda lost in the shuffle of things, I think.

I just started paying attention to scores since TPM came was released.

The only scores that I have listened to are from Star Wars: Episodes I & II, Purple Rain, and Grease. My wife loves Grease, my mother loves Purple Rain and I love Star Wars so I got a lot of exposure to them all.

Duel of the Fates is my favorite score song from any movie. I often whistle it while doing random tasks such as taking tests and washing dishes. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

Across the Stars is my 2nd favorite song, with the entire Attack of the Clones score being my favorite. I whistle this one often too.

I just have to mention The Imperial March as being right up there with Across the Stars. I whistle that tune quite a lot as well.

The theme from E.T. comes to mind as well. I might pick up that score when I get the DVD on Oct. 22.

Tough one...

Episode IV, V, Vi- the entire soundtracks. Love Twin Sunsets, the Force theme, victory celebration (SE), battle of Yavin, the Empirial March, Luke and Leia.

From the PT, Across the Stars and duel of the Fates. I wasn't crazy about TPM's soundtrack, it seemed dull, lacking emotion while the OT soundtracks are much more dynamic and they have an epic feel to them.

My favorite theme is Across the Stars.

Still, my favorite application of the score to the movie is probably the end of ROTJ where Luke is burning Vader's armor and Ben's Theme (aka the Force Theme) is playing.

Though one without just listing about 20 songs... it really depends on my mood at the time. But my favorite themes are Across the Stars, Duel of the Fates, Confrontation with Count Dooku, The Meadow Picnic, and that theme in ROTJ right when Vader and Luke are fighting and right before Luke chops Vader's hand off-- very moving theme...

Han Solo and the Princess - the most beautiful piece of music I've ever heard

The Imperial March from The Empire Strikes Back when it's all about the Fleet, Baby!

The music in ROTJ when Vader's just said "...sister. So, you have a twin sister." when Luke is furious and won't stop attacking his father. The music in that part is what makes the scene bring tears to my eyes.
