I always find mine on clearance.

I got this yesterday for $12.48. Regular price, $49.99.

Yeah, I don't pay full price for anything Star Wars these days. Most of that stuff is on clearance. KayBee has some good specials in my town. The AOTC figures are real cheap. They were like $1 each. All kinds of junk in there. Probably not good for collectors though, since the cardboard is often bent or damaged. But I don't care about that.

I think Justin's got some stuff like that. But I'm not sure. It could just be the regular small ones, and that may be one of the 12-inch things, which in that case, I think we could have Luke... but I really don't know. I'd have to break into his room again to find out.

The Threepio 12" doll with the booklet that comes with it has been onsale for $20 at several bookstores in town for a while now. They also had the Aurra Sing 12" but I didn't get either. $20 is still too much for me to buy a doll. But $1 is right up my alley. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

Around here all the action figures are $3 or less, in good shape, which is a nice cheap way to buy.

Where I live there is a collector's warehouse nearby that is open twice a week. I went recently, and they were selling the older green carded action figures for $2.00 a piece in mint condition. These were selling for $5.00 to $7.00 a year ago. This is definately the time to collect if you have the money.

My SW collection is really small. It's mostly books and comics. I did try collecting a few other items around the time of Ep 1, but honestly It wasn't the kind of experience that left me wanting to continue collecting.

That said, if anyone really wants the KFC toys, send me a PM.

These two items from my collection are the most unique. They are highway billboards from when the OT (pre-SE) came out on VHS on Aug. 29th 1995. A friend of worked for a signage company and he was able to acquire them for me that year. Each billboard is made up of eight 4 ft. x 6 ft. UV protected, heavy paper panels, so the over all dimension of the completed piece is 8 ft tall x 24 ft wide! There is one more version that was made which had a stormtrooper on it, but I missed out on that one. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif Plus, I am missing that one piece to complete the Vader sign. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif. so if anyone has an extra one laying around I'd be happy to take it off their hands. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif

I love how Boga is walking down the wall.

I wanted one of those stackable stand things, I should look into ordering one online. I see them at the conventions, but never wanted to have to ship it home.

Does your Nexu still growl, mine needs new batteries, I meowed it to death.

LMAO at Dooku in pieces! And at the gooba fish eaing Jar Jar. I use my gooba fish in my "sink or float" lesson with kindergarteners.

I have a lot of the same things, they are just in baskets or packed away. I need some shelves to make a really cool shrine with my stuff.

One thing I don't have is a Master Replica saber. You have them all. Sweet!

Can't resist posting these now. Some of the special stuff. A pal of mine works as a make up effects artist on movies and he says that you'd be surprised at the molds you can find lying around in workshops. So, for my birthday a few years ago, I got Han's face in Carbonite, amde from the original mold - which is smaller as the stuff they made it out of in 1979 has shrunk over time. He also did a quick job with Ask Aak's teeth from AOTC (two of the most bizarre objects in my house) and he did me Vader's mask, from a copy of the Empire mold as a wedding present. My wife was slightly bemused.

^ Wow. Cool!

I got this for nothing, BARGAIN!
You can't be SERIOUS, Flo!!?
*sigh* All the normal figurines (about 10cm) are $15 or higher here, and for a person who gets $12.50 a week and has to save $5.00 of it, it's a tough call. I could hardly call mine a collection. I have one poster, showing the theatrical posters of all 6 eps, 1 figurine (Han Solo sail barge) and 1 LEGO V-Wing. Each cost over $10.00.
Another problem is that people around my age are always making new friends and cliques, and it just so happens that I am currently about the 3rd least popular person in my grade. Star Wars is not so big in my generation, and if you are caught talking about it in front of the "cool" people, well...*cuts throat*. If I ever build a collection that I can be proud of, I WILL post a picture here. I promise.

Whoo! I now have Sail Barge Han, Normal Han, Boussh Leia, Ewok Dress Leia, ROTJ Darth Vader, a Scout Trooper, Rebel Commando, Lando Calrissian and R2-D2!
My mum was sooo nice in Singapore and bought me 6!! figures! The ROTJ tin set (costing $60) and R2-D2 and Normal Han!!!!!!! :happydance:

Ok. Let me pose them for you and take a pic!!!

I swear not a word of a lie, my stepdad's mate was clearing out his attic and he was going to just chuck all the Star Wars stuff in the bin (it usd to belong to his now grown up son who didn't want any of it anymore) and my stepdad who was helping him said I'd probably want it and the guy said that I could have the lot for nothing! There was some cool stuff in amongst it all. It's where I also got my Sy Snootles and the Max Rebo band set!

These are a bunch of statues I bought from Suncoast in the early 90s. They don't look so good close up. A number of nicks and scratches, but Threepio looks the best because of a gloss covering that the others don't have. Also, Leia's head and Threepio's arm broke off, but I super glued them back. There's a community wide yard sale this weekend and I was thinking about selling them.

Chewie's the tallest at about 11 inches.

Hey Mom I Found The Dewback!!!!I see that! YAY!

Sounds like quite a collection Cam! :welcome:I think he's collecting things from me. :w00t: But he's right, it's everywhere, in ever closet and in every corner of the house. Our SW goodies need a room of their own.

When I move to a new flat (hopefully next month sometime) I'll get my SW stuff all out in my spare room and take some pics.

Whenever we buy a house, and Mrs. Rollafett assigns me the dark little corner in the basement for my stuff, I'll finally display my collection and pictures will be posted.

$teve $answeet has the right idea but since I can't afford a separate building for my collection, it's taking over my entire house.

The last pic is from my bathroom.....nothing is sacred.
