yeah, i'm sure a lot of people are already going to die in Eps. 3, but then having Padme and Anakin's other kid(s) killed, that would be stupid. GL wouldn't cross that line.

For some reason I don't think GL had two hillbilly kids inbreeding in mind to bring balance to the force. Technically it would balance things into one - one large family of people missing teeth and having thrid eyes.

Although, it would bring in more of a southern demographic to the Star Wars family.

I can actually visualize Anakin sitting on a porch playing a banjo with some weird smirk on his face while Palpatine is heard in the background telling Obi Wan to squeal like a pig.

I am lucky I am even able to type, let alone figure out where the power button is on this contraption... :look: As far as the kids thing goes, I wish somewhere in the books that Luke and Leia would find out more about their mom. Aside from the book where Luke flies all over the galaxy looking for her on a wild goose chase.

actually, there is a book coming out about leia getting some info on anakin youth on Tattoiine, and ive heard after epIII and the NJO series is done they are going to have a story (or stories?) about luke and leis finding info on padme.

Where did you hear that? I've heard GL say that he's going to keep all the movies PG.

IMO, Luke and Leia are the only kids. Here's how I think it works.

Anakin/Vader knew that Padme was pregnant, but didn't know it was twins. Through some course of events (that I'm not going to try to predict), Vader and/or the Emperor think they've gotten rid of this kid, so he won't be a threat.

Then, after Luke blows up the fisrt Death Star, and becomes a hero of the Rebellion, his name starts getting thrown around and Vader recognizes the name Skywalker and remembers that he did have a kid. Because there's no indication in ANH that Vader knows who's in the X-wing he's chasing. He just knows that this pilot is strong in the Force. Vader puts two and two together, and figures out this kid of his must have survived and starts looking for him.

At the end of the film he believes that Padmé Amidala died before giving birth to his son. And Darth Vader has no idea of Leia's existence until reading Luke Skywalker's mind in Jedi.

There can't be any other children. It would really ruin everything.

Heres an idea I posted on an old thread that Ive brought forward to this topic.

Anakin will turn bad BEFORE the birth.

After Luke is born and Obi-Wan has taken him to Tattooine, his DNA is taken to Kamino and cloned to make Leia...

That way there is insurance if Luke the 'saviour' should die before recognising his destiny....

Now I dont believe that this will happen for one minute, but it would be really interesting if it did...

I had an interesting idea for the twins birth, it would be just like Lord Lucas to do something like this!
The moment Anakin "dies" Luke should be born.
Obviously the two events take place @ different locations but Lucas is a master of juggling multiple events at once!
Just imagine the scene where Obi Wan and Anakin are fighting.....lava bursts in the background, lightsabers illuminating a darkened landscape wipe to a white room w/ medical droids surrounding a table with padme in labour.

That would work for sure. And it sounds like something GL would do. Life/Death, and the balance and all. That could happen.

Okay.. first of all. From my experience with movies, I think it would be incredible tacky (not that it can really get any worse) for that idiot Anakin and that Angel Padme style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/inlove.gif to have EVEN more kids. They already have twins, and jeez, how many kids can she have in one movie before she dies? (No offense anyone)
I just can't wait for Obi-Wan to totally thrash Anakin (IN Ep.4 Darth says that Obi-Wan was the "Master," then he says that now he is the "Master" or something to that effect. That saying means that Obi was obviously a better fighter than Anakin.) AND I read on a Star Wars card that Anakin "suffers at the hands of his master" That's why he has to wear the suit and breather mask. Hopefully Obi is the one to beat Anakin around after he smarts off. Or it might be that it happens accidentily and Obi-Wan gets blamed.
I also have a feeling that Boba Fett is going to be the one to kill Mace Windu (the whole "Avenge your Father's Death" thing.
