I Think it Would Be Cool to See a Girl as a Sith

I've been wanting to see a female Sith since before TPM. At this point, it's too late. There's not much room to introduce another Sith.

i posted in another thread my wish for a female sith. wouldn't it be possible for there to be another sith master and apprentice that do battle with palpatine and dooku for darkside control? yoda says 'two there are' but doesn't specify if there are collectively two, or two in a group. anyway, if we don't see a female sith, i'd at least like to see a female jedi with a significant role (speaking parts).

With only one movie left, I'd say there's not enough time for any of that. Over the course of the last two movies, we were introduced to two new Sith: Maul and Dooku. One could have easily been female. Even the role of Obi-wan's Master in TPM could have been filled by a woman. But Lucas didn't take that route, so the opportunity's been lost.

In epIII, the "new" Sith will be Vader. And there's no time to introduce a female jedi with a significant role. At least in my opinion.

Guys, I think Shakira is drop dead gorgeous, and Lucy Liu should be on my top ten list of most desirable celebrities, but my vote for lady Sith lord is by far Zhang Ziyi. *She played Jen in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon". *That movie, her character, her acting, her presence, her action scenes and intense sword fighting, were all breathtaking. *In fact, I didn't think I would feel this way, but there was one particular sword duel (there were several in the film) in the second half of the film, between her and Michelle Yeoh, which other than the cool visuals of glowing lightsabers, rivaled the 3-way Ep.1 duel. *See Zhang Ziyi in Rush Hour 2 also.
I vote Zhang for female Sith apprentice without a doubt.
Here is a thought: List your top 5 actresses you would cast as female Sith lord, if you had creative control in Episode III and such a character was cast.

Borgmatrix, do you know why I chose Mira? It may be the same reason as yours. Aside from being one of my top favorite actresses and one of the sexiest women alive (Pam Anderson or anyone like her...bah! I'll take Mira once for every 3 Pam's you offer me.), she is wonderful at being gentle and innocent, and looking damn good when forced to go into action to fight for her life (Replacement Killers, anyone? ). Darth Maul was a bad ass and we knew that just by seeing his face. Mira would look sweet and harmless and the last you'd expect to be a threat, until she lit her lightsaber and faced off against Jedi knights with as much ferocity as we saw in Maul. That is what I found so appealing about Jen in Crouching Tiger. That is what I find appealing about any female villian or hero in films; that she does not look tough and scary at all until she has to fight. Like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, or Dark Angel, or Ripley in Aliens, Sidney Bristow in Alias; or for villainy the lady terrorist in Die Hard 3. For that matter, Jennifer Garner is one I'd like to see as a Jedi not a Sith.
BTW, on an unrelated topic, did anyone see last night's Alias, which I assume was the season finale from the last season, to be continued in a couple of weeks? I have watched the show off and on, loving it but not always being able to catch it in time, but I know the background of the characters and their storylines well enough, and the last scene of last night's show made my jaw hit the floor. Before Sidney "identified" the unseen person who entered the room, I knew who it was going to be. OMG.
