I have been using my home connection without any problems for almost 18 months. Then they decided to update the system. It was working much better before they updated it.

But that's normal, you are not allowed to complain about that, and if you do, they say they are sorting out the bugs and will be better sometime in the future and then in a few years they have to do another upgrade...

We are finally get some rain, it has been unbarringly hot, after a mild winter, and it decided start raining after 4 months of dry air.

I could never even imagine living somewhere where it snows. Our winters drop to the -°C a few times, quite cold over night, but our winter days sit around 15°C. We have a few cold snaps but as winter only lasts three to four months, it's over before you realise.
