New Jedi Order: Starfighter

Ever wondered what it would be like to be a member of the famous Twin Suns Squadron from the New Jedi order? Well here is your chance to be apart of it. Join us on all sorts of missions ranging from fighter combat, capital ship combat, ground engagements, rescue operations, and more! Our primary ship is the XJ3 X-wing but we have used the new bomber, the Crossbow.

You will be promoted from cadet, to Flight officer, to Leiutenant, to Captain, to Major, to Lieutenant Colonel, to Colonel, to Commander. The only way you can get to the rank of Supreme General is if I step down.

General Lowbacca orders current cadets to flight simulators

Tlo Neen hearing the order from Supreme General Lowbacca, swiftly walks to the flight sim room. He steps through the doorway and sits down in the nearest flight sim.
He begins the sim. The simulater hums to life and the screen reads: Mission One, Escort Ship. Objective, escort Shuttle Alpha One to sector 4-C. Destroy anything that thereatens the ship.

Tlo becomes totally emmersed into the sim reacting as if it was the real thing. Tlo continues using the simulater.

While in the sims secretly General Lowbacca Joins to make the simulation harder.

Jania hears the orders that General Lowbacca gave. Jania goes to the flight simulator room and starts it up! Jania excited about finally being able to pratice on the flight sims.

hunter entered the sim and smirked a seek and destroy mission. cant get better than this. he quickly destroyed the two mercanary ships in front of him and did a series of curves and turns to evade turret fire. he then saw his target. a miniature looking star destroyer he then murmmed to himself, "oh boy"

Lowbacca signals Hunter with a voice scrambler and taunts him.

"keep taunting" said hunter concentrated more on the sim then the taunts" NOW!" he yelled to himself as he shot a proton torbedo at one of the engines in the back of the ship. It went through the exhaust pipe , one of the engines blew up and the star destroyer crashed into the planet

Prepare for a wave of Tie Defender pirates. Said Lowbacca into the comm.

[Rann]

Tlo Neen had succesefully completed the first three missions. As Tlo began his fourth he heard LowbaccaPrepare for a wave of tie defender pirates Within seconds 6 tie defenders engaged Tlo.

Tlo manuavered skillfully taking out 3 in a matter of seconds. He dodged one as it flew by underneath trying t get a shot in. Tlo ready a proton torpedo and aimed as three tie defenders approached he fired.....Boom! the Ties disentegrated.

Okay simulation over since their have been no others interested so far we will set out on patrol. informed General Lowbacca.

Jaina turns off the simulator.Then she goes off to look for General Lowbacca to inform him she is going out on patrol.

First flight of wingmen on patrol will be cadet Hunter Hearst and cadet Jaina Jade.

Cadet Jaina puts on her flight suit and heads for her x-wing.Puts hair up and does last minutes checks . Then climbs in and checks all systems, while she wait for Hunter to get in.

Tlo dissapointed to not be included on patrol duty goes back ro the simulation room to put in a few more hours of practice before taking a break.

"Maybe a need more practice" Tlo thinks as he start his next mission....

After reading the dull reports of nothing from the two cadets General Lowbacca orders Cadet Tlo Neen to fly his wing on this patrol. Cadet we're being challenged by General Horn and Flight Officer Reen Saber of Rogue Squadron. See those debris chunks over there? Who ever can destroy the most gets a weeks pay from everyone. Just as owbacca was about to make his run he spied something suspicious. He queryied his computer about this dead looking Victory star Destroyer and it exploded when he was about to radio command. "We have pirates lose in this system all fighters up!" shouted General Lowbacca.

hunter quickly boads his ship and leaves the docking bay. "damned no good pirates!"

[Jediwan]

Lowbacca watched as Reen Saber was shredded by lasers. Neen we're going to back General Horn up. Watch as Tlo got his second kill of the day. Corran we have to retreat to the primary shield we're outnumbered 5 to 1.

Jaina comes flying to watch General Horns back. Turning left and right dodging laser blasts. Jaina got her first kill.
Jaina spots a few more pirates to her right. Jania turns right zigs and zags up and down. spinning round shooting some more proton torpodos and watches the ships turn into big balls of fires.
Yes i agree Hunter those damn pirates! Jaina turns around and retuns to the group.

Hunters eyes gets filled w/ rage as he sends a proton torpedoe bolting through one of the pirate leaders he then commns Jaina "Watch Out! You got one on your tail! I'll be right there!"

As Jaina dodges left and right with laser blasting by her. She commns Hunter "You better hurry they are gaining"!

Jania still moving left and right, She decides to take a few pirates with one on her tail. Jania thinks "Come on Hunter don't let me down!"
"General, just a few more fighters we'll be behind you guys!"

Lowbacca watched as he drilled a pirate with his last torpedo. Blast he thought Twins two where are you/ He asked as his rear shields got drained to ten percent.

Jania and Hunter on their way to help Lowbacca and Tlo. General, my radar is picking up a few more pirates coming from the left of you. I have one torpedo left. I'm coming in at your right.
As Jania made it to the General . She flew under and got a clear shot of the pirate. She shot her last torpedo and whatched the ship blow up in a big fireball! Whooo.....that was close General!

Jania comms the General. What is the plan now sir? I am out if torpodoes!

We're outnumbered two to one. We have to retreat. How 'bout that asteroid over there? We can hide out until reinforcements come.

That sounds good to me !! Let's get out of here!

"negative, sir. im fighting here like a true warrior," hunter says while shooting one down."

Awww.... Hunter about time! Jania says in the comm.! You get them with your torpedos and I'll cover your tail as good as i can!

"already ahead of you." he says while shredding the pirates ship to pieces with his laser turret. "watchout, jaina detected a squadron of pirates coming."

"I see them now"! Jaina says! "Let's go see what kind of damage we can do"! As she gets a pirate ship with a laser blast.

hunter evasively moneveurs out of the way of enemy fire. he shreds one to pieces. "focus on the leader, jaina."

Got it Hunter! As Jaina goes help the leader.

That was an order 3 and 4. Fine we'll stay out here but if your X-wing is destroyed you'll be paying for it out of your wages.

Hunter sends a couple of shots buzzing past the leader. In Hunter's com he hears, "What's the matter? Can't hit a gruffy, old pirate. Hahaha."
In a concentrated and angered voice Hunter tells jaina,"Jaina.Concentrate on the others I'll take this one myself."

As Jaina heard the order she comms to Hunter "Come on the Gen. has given orders to come back, we can gets the ones that get in our way!" We need to get back so we can have a better plan!" I don't wanna retreat myself but orders are orders"! Lets get out of here before we do get overrunned by the pirates!

With the new Cadets Lowbacca orders Twin Suns out. Time to clean up these Pirates! Lowbacca Whatched as he drilled one of the fighters with his lasers. Six left to go! By the way I just recieved orders to begin inter system patrols since we got two more cadets. Of course once we defeat these pirates.

Cadet Leet scurries to launch, affixing his oddly shaped helmet as he moved. Climbing into his X-wing he wondered why violence was such a widespread feature of species throughout the galaxy; his other brain began running down the pre-flight checklist.

The signal from the crew chief, coupled with the completion of his pre-flight checklist, brought both of Cadet Leet's brains into focus. "Control, Twin Sun Six requests launch clearance." A disembodied voice spoke back, "Twin Sun Six, you cleared for launch."

Feeling the thrust of launch, Cadet Leet sees the starfield emerge, and immediately begins looking for Twin Suns Five.

Zhadar brings his ship around and right next to Cadet Leet's ship.

"Twin Five, the rest of Twin Flight is near the asteriod, following your lead" said Leet, bringing his ship around.

"Lock S-Foils in attack position," Zhadar said, pulling a lever in the cockpit.
"May the Force be with us."

Attack formation. Let's vape these pirates.

After feeling the familar bump that signal the S foils locking; the General's command sent both of Leet's hearts racing. Moving into formation, Leet knew that the odds were now even.

So did the Pirates who began to scatter, Leet quickly found a target; and heard the satisfying tone that meant torpedo lock. Quickly depressing the launch button, Leet saw his torpedo fly straight at the Ugly it was aimed at.

The explosion marked Leet's first kill as a fighter pilot.

Good work Twins we have sent the pirates reeling back to their base!! Head home Twins commendations for all of you. At the base Lowbacca got a Holocom call from Srian Lyrk a senior intelligence officer, with orders to make a temporary squad trasfer to intelligence. In the briefing room Lowbacca told them that they are going to chase the pirates back to their base and gather any intel on them. Any questions?

"No Sir" said Leet, and he raced to his X-Wing. After checking the status of his craft, he climbs in and powers up. As he feels the acceleration of launch, he wonders how this mission will go.

Got it Twin one! Twin four on the way! Good work guys!

We will be taking a shuttle along with an advanced sensor suite to help us track the pirates. Our first priority is to defend it since most of it's shields and weapons power is compromised.

Got it Twins One! Twins Four going into position behind Twins one! As Jaina reads her scanners for more pirates in the area! so far everything seems to be in the clear sir!As Jaina comms in. Twins four out!

As Jaina looks ahead of her and looks at the black and stary space! Jaina loves the space and listening to her x-wing hum. Jaina hears a bleep on her scanner. Twins one I am picking up something behind us sir! I cannot read what it is,as Jaina comms in! Looks like it is four of them headed this way!

"Twin Six also makes out four unidentified targets, orders sir?" says Leet.

I think they are headed for the shuttle! Jaina comms to Twins four! She watches the scanner waiting for orders.

Twins three to seven will engage; it's time to see who really wants a promotion.

Jaina comms in to three to seven and tells them to get ready for an attack! twins three and five with me we will head straight for them for a distraction while twins six and seven cover our backs and protect the shuttle. As she hears more beeps and four more are headed towards them on their backs! six and seven there are four more headed towrds us! You guys get those and we'll get these guys in front of us!


Twins four flies toward the four ship with three and five following her! If one gets by us one of you guys go get them! she says with a lil chuckle! As Jaina flies left and right behind one of the ships her target was locked and she fired a proton torpedo she hit it and watched it blow up into a big fire ball! As she comms in 1 down and 7 to go! She turns right and flies back into attack formation with three and five! Twins three and five are behind their targets and locked on and watched their targets blow up in fireball! Then Jaina did a barrel roll after the forth one as she locked on and fired! Well that's our four! How is it going Twins six and seven? twins four comms to them!

Get back to the shuttle it's a trap some kind of new fighter with cloaking abilities. Twins One barrel rolled out of the way of 5 rockets that these new fighters were firing and colided with the torpedo that was locked on to him. I need some help here you guys I lost one of my s foils, my weapon systems are off line, ejector system is fried. I'm suprised I didn't blow!

Twins four is on the way! As she turns headed for twins one. I am behind him as she locked on her target and fired! they watched him blow up into a ball of fire! Jaina stays by Twins one ! As they get back to the shuttle.

Jaina barrel rolls to her left of the shuttle! Dodging torpedos as one came close to her ship. the next one nicked her tail! Just a little nick! rvrything still seems to be fine so far!

Upon hearing the order to attack Twin Six switched his heading to bring the pair of X-wings on a long arc, to catch the incoming fighters in a deadly crossfire.

Leet watched in fascination as more snubfighters appeared on his screen, seemingly from nowhere. Hearing General Lowbacca's comments about fighters with cloaking capabilities - Leet began to respond "No ships that small . . ." At that moment the starfield disappeared, to be replaced by something out of a nightmare.

A pair of large, heavily modified Xiytiar class freighters stood there - as well as another brace of the mysterious fighters. Making a quick assessment of the situation, Leet fired a pair of torpedoes at the one of the strange modifications on one freighter.

Pursued by four enemy starfighters, the pair of X-wings thread their way between the freighters. As the torpedoes hit home, the starfield and asteroids come jarringly back into view.

Cadet Leet hurriedly says "Sir, the trap is worse than we thought. One of the freighters has been modified with a gravity well projector."

"Twin Seven to Twins Six and Five, keep a tight formation and alternate positions to maximize sheilds," Leto comms as he reaches out with the force to get a better sense of the enemy.

Jaina sways her x-wing left and then right dodging what the fighters shot at her! tring to destract the fighters away from the shuttle they were excorting! As she sees the freighters, she comms in Wow and a good trap too,Jaina comms in to twins six!

Coming in for another round as she turns her x-wing to the right with a couple on her tail! I can't shake them off! as she draws them away from the shuttle! Barrel rolling she shook one off while the other is still one her! As she locked on her target she lost she shot her laser cannon and got him! Twins one she commed in! What about the freighter?

Leet continued a series of evasive manuvers, with Twins 5 and 7 following close behind.

Hearing Jaina's query, Leet waited - but only heard static in response.

"Repeat, Twin Suns Lead . . ."

Another burst of static. Both of Cadet Leet's brains were swiftly coming to the same conclusion.

"Twin Suns Four" Leet began, "I am afraid there is only one way to deal with the freighter, a direct attack. I will take Five and Seven on the first attack run. Protect One, it seems that the fighters are singling him out. "May the Force be with us."

With that Leet and his wingman changed direction, and began rapidly closing with the target.

The trio of X-wings quickly closed the distance to the freighters, firing torpedoes as they go. As Leet triggered his third and final pair of torpedoes, he watched as the shields went down on the freighter. The freighter frantically began making evasive maneuvers, preparing to jump into hyperspace.

Not knowing who the pirates were, or anything about them, Leet knew the ship must be stopped. Using the force to sense the ship, Leet began strafing the bridge. Moments later the sickening site of decompression filled his vision the freighters escape halted.

"Twin Four, we have destroyed the bridge on one freighter - however it is still flying in a straight line - if we don't disable it with Ion weapons they may regain control from the Engines. The other freighter is gone, jumped to hyperspace the moment they were able, and the fighters are joining them. What is the status of One?" Leet answered quietly.

I'm in the shuttle Twins helping the pilot do some modifications to the weapons to give them full power. The shuttle has been equipped with two lIon canons. It will be five minutes until we can shunt power from the sensor suite to weapons.

"Y-wing here going to circle around the freighter making sure we dont get enemy reinforcements, over"

"Twin eight here we got bogies repeat we got bogies"

"Five and Seven, there appears to be a landing bay on the starboard side, in front of the engine compartment - they only have their containment field up. We will land there and work our way to a control station." Leet said decisively.

"Four can you pair with Eight and keep the bogeys busy while we look around?"

"Twin four this is Twin 8 i got your six, take it easy now!" Twin four easily takes out 2 of the fighters and Twin 8 is distracting them while Twin four takes care of them. "All bogies are down five and seven you are now safe to board the ship!"

Leet manuevered his ship into the landing bay of the freighter, which was empty to the naked eye. As his ship settled down, Cadet Leet reached out with the force. There where four beings two by each exit hatch, out of sight waiting.

As the hatch of his X-Wing snapped open - Leet used the force to augment his jump - and landed behind a crane, the snap-hiss of his lightsaber filled the room.

The lightsaber moved in a rythem all its own - blocking shots from two directions - after a minute the ricochetes had cut his opposition down to one. Charging in that direction, blocking shots as he ran, Leet reached his last opponent. The being looked towards the bay, and then threw dwon his blaster.

Behind him Leet heard Five and Seven enter the landing bay.

[Leto Aldriss]

Leto caught up quickly with Leet and Drell.

Seeing the two exits he suggests that they split up and head for the control room.

"I'll take this one, you two take the other." Leto suggests and then thinks to add, "Keep it low profile, we'll make better progress."

Leto carefully makes his way down the corridor feeling his way through the force, and listening to the thrum of the engines. As he rounds the corner to the control room he finds the door gaurded by two armored gaurds. They are carrying on a conversation, but Leto is unable to make out the words.

Just then one of the guards leans back against the door. seeing his chance Leto reaches out with the force and shifts the stock of the guards blaster carbine against the door release.

The gaurd clanged heavily to the deck, his comrade began a stream of laughter and turned to face his overturned sidekick.

With his back to Leto, he was completely unprepared for the stun bolt from Leto's Flash 4 blaster. He droppped on top of his companion pinning him , and making it tha much easier for Leto to stun him as well.

After removing their armor and personal comm units and depositing their unconcious forms out of sight he proceeded to the control room dressed in ihs new finery. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/trooper.gif

Leet and Drell quickly moved forward - their movement stopped abruptly by the bulkheads that had sealed off the bridge from the rest of the ship. Moving cautiously they surveyed room after room, the sudden decompression had either killed or incapacitated the everyone forward of the flight deck.

Backtracking to where the group had split up, Leet and Drell opened the hatch opposite of the landing bay. Before them was the freighter central computer - unharmed and unencrypted!

Leaving Drell to guard the core, Leet began moving down the hallway, hearing the sounds of fighting . . .

Reece still circling around the ship watching out for bogies using the force to see what was happening in the ship. "Twin four what is your status."

Leto entered the control room, hoping that the armor he had lifted from the guards at the door would keep him saflely disguised until he had the opportunity to shut down the the navigational control.

Unfortunately, the minute he entered the comm unit in his stolen armor chirped in a language he was not familiar with, and all heads in the room turned to face him.

Quickly he ignited his lightsaber and began to block the laser barrage that came his way.

Running down the hallway Leet saw an armored figure blocking blaster fire with a lightsaber. Reaching out with the force, Leet used the force to augment his jump, over the armored figure. Quickly Leto and Leet worked the room over, until the firing stopped.

As Leto checked the bodies, Leet went to the controls, only one engine was usable. Leet then used the ship's comm to ask "We have control of the ship Twin One, what are our orders?"

If they are even on their way yet, twins four says to eight!

I hope they relize that where ever the ship is heading their radar will show that the ship has stoped and they will come to investigate and that is when it will get dirty.

Zhadar scans the area, force senses aware.
"I sense a disturbance in the force!"
The ground suddenly shakes as the side wall bursts open and smoke and fire pour in.
Four dark-armored soldiers stand behind the wall of flames.
"They must've been hiding!"
Zhadar squints his eyes, staring behind the soldiers. As some of the smoke evaporates, a gargantuan, dark-green figure could be seen standing behind the soldiers.
"That looks like a Darktrooper with a new paint job! They must've stolen it."
Blaster bolts erupt from the guns of the opponents as the saffron blade emits from the silver cylinder in Zhadar Drell's hands.

With one wall of the freighter's emergency control room in shambles, Leet continues to fly the ship, while shots fly all around him. As the battle rages around him, the distance to the other freighter continues to shrink - less than a minute to go. As he begins to manuever the freighter, a stray blaster bolt destroys the console in front of him. With maneuvering controls gone, one of Leet's brains begins calculating - while the other draws his lightsaber.

Speaking quietly into his helmet's comms he says "We should impact with the other freighter in less than 30 seconds."

The deep violet from Leto's lightsaber splashed of the darktroopers armor as he moved in to block the troopers advance.

"We've got to get this thing out of the control room before it leaves this ship a dead hulk." he shouted to Drell and Leet as he desperatly blocked blasts from the troopres asault cannon.

The Jedi and the Darktrooper stood in silence, awaiting each others' next move.
Zhadar turned his head toward Leet.
"We're going to have to take turns," he whispered. "Leto and I will block the blasts from his canons... while he's firing on us, use an air strike. Hopefully you will be able to hit him before he concentrates his fire power on you.
After you hit him, he will most likely start firing at you, in which case Leto and I will advance and take out the arm-canons. After that he should be disabled shortly giving us a few moments to eradicate him." style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/saber.gif
Zhadar closed his eyes. "Feel your surroundings... be wary. Let the force guide your attacks..."
He opened his glowing, red eyes and stared at the silent Darktrooper.
"May the force be with us..."

As Leto and Zhadar blocked shot after shot Leet moved in, on the offensive. The attack made the Dark Trooper shift his fire Leet and Zhadar. "Leto, your turn to attack." Leet said defensively.

Coming in low against the Darktrooper's leg's Leto slashed at the trooper's knees, doing significant damage to the servos that operated the appendage.

He then continued in a roll past the Trooper, coming to his feet behind it creating a triangle, surounding it in a deadly trap of lightsabers.

"Your turn Drell, it hurt and time is running out." cried Leto as the collision claxons sounded loudly through out the ship.

The Trooper limped itself around still tracking the source of the last attack, turning it's back to Drell and Leet.

Good luck Leet! Twins form up on the shuttle and I'll lead the attack run. Okay thought Lowbacca lets buy Leet an Zhadar some time it's time to show these guys who the Twin Suns are! Break and attack on my mark!

As Zhadar prepared to attack the collision occurred, the nose of the freighter containing the Jedi hit the center of the other freighter.

The Xiytiar Class freighter has two large areas (the forward bridge/cargo area, and the rear engine compartment) connected by thin central core. The resulting impact decimated the forward cargo area of one, while snapping the other in half. The Jedi heard emergency bulkheads seal off the area forward of the central core.

The Jedi quickly regained their composure. However, the Dark Trooper was now pointing all his weapons at Zhadar . . .

Jaina gets into attack formation as the general ordered! Man I can't believe they are still on that freighters! Her eyes wide and kept on watching as they collide together! taking a few fighters with her!

[Grand Admiral Thrawn]

Zhadar closed his eyes and concentrated.
He breathed deeply. Suddenly, time itself began to slow down.
Zhadar heard the release clamp on the Darktrooper's gun click into place.
There was a drawn out, low bang sound as a blaster bolt was released from the gun and coming in slow motion toward the Chiss.
Zhadar recalled his last words...
Let the force guide your attacks...
The bolt was less than six feet away when Zhadar heard
another drawn out bang as another bolt was released.
Time to move.
Zhadar concentrated on the force and accelerated his velocity as he leapt into the air. Both bolts flew under his feet as he lifted eight feet into the air.
Within seconds, Zhadar landed on the Darktrooper's head, pointed his lightsaber downward and stabbed the trooper.
The blade travel through its memory chips, down its voice-emitter, and through its stomach.
Time sped up again.
Zhadar watched with a slight smile as the Darktrooper went into a state of shock.
Suddenly... a disturbance... a warning from the force.
One of the Darktrooper's arms reached upward and fired a single bolt.
The bolt slammed into Zhadar's shoulder blade, throwing him backwards off the trooper's head. The Chiss landed on his back on the floor.
Everything became a blur... and than... pitch black.
The whirring of the shocked Darktrooper faded as Zhadar fell into a state of unconsciousness.

Leet watched in horror as both Zhadar and the Darktrooper fell.

Running over to the prone form of the Chiss Jedi, Leet reached out with the force . . .

No major organs damaged, good. Pushing him back from the edge of shock, Leet knew his fellow pilot would need a good dunk in a bacta tank.

Turning to Leto he said "Keep an eye on Zhadar."

Moving back to the control board Leet checked the ships status. The bulkhead doors were keeping the atmosphere in, the ships single working engine was still there, helm was - well as long as you had enough room maneuver was possible, life support - good, power - more than needed.

"Twin One, the ship is secure and we have a medical situation. Twin Five is need of a bacta dunk. We have minimal helm control. Permission to take the captured frieghter and return to base." Leet queried.

With the immediate combat threat removed, Leto shifted his concentration in the force to aid Drell's healing. It wouldn't replace the Bacta treatment and he was nowhere near as skilled at healing as Master Cilgal, but he hope to make his recovery easier.

Leet watched Leto tend Drell, intrigued by the other Jedi's healing abilities. He said to Leto "You seem to have a gifting when it comes to healing. Was it something you learned?"

Leto looks up from Drell, having done what he can for now.

" I studied at the Praxeum, but left before becoming apprenticed," said Leto matter of fact, " but Master Skywalker gave me some training materials to work from in my absence."

" I just kept repeating the exercises." Leto said, becoming slightly defensive, " I know the basics for almost all the force abilities, but I'm not particularly gifted in any specific ability."

Not understanding Leto's defensiveness, Leet soothingly replied "Well you are much better at it than I." Turning back to the helm Leet listened to the chatter from his squadron mates. "Twin One, we are preparing to jump to hyperspace, any further orders?"

Zhadar began shaking his head from side to side, moaning something.
"Dark.... dest.... Darktrooper.... des....."
Zhadar couldn't let the words fly from his mouth. He was still half unconscious.
Zhadar coughed. Suddenly his eyes shot open.
"Darktrooper... self-destruct!!!"

Something from within the fallen Darktrooper began beeping.
Zhadar's eyes became heavy again.
"Counting... counting down... twe... twenty... seconds...s...sss."
Once again, the Chiss was out, one last hope flooding his mind.
A hope that his campanion's understood his words.

Leet saw Zhadar stir, he heard: "Dark.... dest.... Darktrooper.... des....."
"Darktrooper... self-destruct!!!"

Leet looked over at the prone form of the darktrooper, and heard beeping.

While part of him heard Zhadar start to speak again, the rest felt the force begin to flow through him. Concentrating he began levitating the darktrooper down the corridor. Seeing an escape pod down the closest hallway, Leet quickly floated the beeping armor, and used the force to throw it in.

All of this took about 18 seconds. Stretching out with the force, he flipped the switch to jettison the pod. The explosive charge releasing the pod exploded a split second before the darktroopers self destruct. Exploding right beside the freighter.

Leet was thrown to the deck by the shock, momentarily unconscious.

Leto, also rocked by the blast lost his footing and fell to the deck.

"Let's hope there are no more of those." Leto muttered, his head ringing from the noise of the blast.

Tending first to Drell to be sure he aquired no new injuries, he moved to Leet who was also sprawled on the deck.

"Just barely unconscious" Leto said to himself as he began rousing his companion.

When he was sure Leet was coming around Leto took the communications station. "Twin One this is Twin Seven. General, we have one man down and another with a possible concussion. Requesting further orders."

Leet slowly began to stir on the floor, the pain in his head subsiding. Feeling inward with the force he begins using the force to probe the pain in his head. After several minutes the pain subsides, and he seems none the worse for wear.

Slowly getting up, he makes his way back to the control room. "Leto" he began, "how long was I unconscious?"

Twins Four in attack formation and Twins Eight on the other side of Twins one. Waiting for is order to break formation. Reaching out with the force to feel Twins five,six and seven! Feeling the disterbence! They made it to the control room!

Hearing Leet, Leto turned.

"Only a few minutes," Said Leto, "I've sent a comm message to General Lowbacca, I'm still waiting for a reply."

Moving across the room he knelt by Drell again. "I've seen worse he said," lookning at him as every so often he stirred, "Still, I wouldn't qant to be him in the morning."

"I guess we wait," Leto sighed.

"Yes, I guess we do" sighed Leet. Turning to the computer, Leet began running down the inventory. While the freighter had no medical bay, it did have a small dispensary - which included bacta bandages. While not as good as a bacta tank, the bandages would help prevent infection.

Walking down the hallway, Leet walked to the dispensary. Gathering up bandages, painkillers, and sterilized medical instruments. Walking by the communications center, Leet peered in. Sensing something out of place, Leet decided to give Leto the medical supplies and then come back.

Hurrying back to the control room, Leet bent over and handed Leto the supplies saying: "I hope this equipment can help Zhadar. Something seems amiss in the comm center, I am going to check it out." Then added, "If we hear from the General, let me know."

Rece was using the force to see what was going on inside and seeing that the mission was almost accomlpished

Looking down at Zhadar, Leet continued trying to contact Twin One. After a considerable time had passed, he turned to Leto and said:

"I think we may have lost communications when the explosion occurred. With Zhadar in this condition I am going to jump us back to base. I hope the General concurs with my assessment."

Pulling the lever, hyperspace opened up before them. Watching the familiar scene, Leet wondered if Wookie's really did rip sentients into small pieces when angry.

Jade scences they almost through and a few are injured! After seeing a blasts the around and inside the ship! At least we can still see the ship! We did lose communations to them, Twins one! But i scense them still alive! And they jumped into hyperspace! I hope those three make it back to base okay! Twins one what's the plan now? Jade comms in.

Well, I say we follow! Make sure they take no more hits from anything or more Fighterpilots! They are in bad shape in that shuttle and without communations ,sir!

Sorry guys bathroom break. Time to head home for next mission. Get Zhadar and Leto in to the shuttle and I'll have their fighters towed. Remember Twins I'm flying the shuttle right now.

Back at the base, Leet and Leto hustle Zhadar's wounded body into the medical bay, immediatly sentients and droids go to work. Soon he is in the bacta tank.

Leet is ordered to bed for observation. "Thanks, Leto" says Leet as he drifts off to sleep.

As Leet awakens from his nap, the medical droid says "Cadet Leet, the rest of Twin Suns has recently returned from the mission. You are ordered to report for debriefing. Your vital signs are normal."

Leet gathers himself together, and then walks into the briefing room. "Did everyone make it back?" he asks Rece and Jade.

Hey there Leet! How are you feeling? Jade asked. I am glad you are here and yes everyone made it back in one piece, Jade says with a lil laugh! Come and sit we are all happy you are here! Any news on Drell and Aldriss? hope they make it here soon!

"Leto came through without a scratch, Zhadar should be about done with his dunk in the bacta tank. We had a nasty fight with a dark trooper, who was in a hidden compartment. But we did bring the freighter back, and its computer core intact - with some slicing hoping there is some worthwhile information." Leet replied. "How did the mopping up go?"

The same as usual keeping the fighters away from you guys while you get the freighter! Then Rece and i got the last of the attack fighters! I am glad Zhadar will be out soon! Can't wait for him to join us. So, you three had fought a dark trooper? Intresting Jade said wondering! Leto should be here soon!

Leto entered the briefing room,

"Sorry I'm late, I went round to check on Zhadar. It looks like he'll be out any time now."

Okay Twins I have been authorized by starfighter command to promote you all to flight officers for your excellent flying with those pirates. Congatulations! I have also been reviewing our mission and the role of XO goes to Flight officer Jaina Jade! Twins your on leave for a week until we have to go on the next mission to hunt down those pirates. Dismissed!

"I should spend some time with my foster mother," Leto muttered after a long pause, then returning his attention to the group, "I'll acompany anyone who wants the company as far as the Corellian Run."

Leet turned to Jaina "Congratulations XO!" After listening to the group talk about their plans for leave. After a few minutes Leet turns to Leto and says "Zhadar still not out of sick bay, I'm going to check in on him. Got to keep track of your wing man."

Looking at Jade, Leet says "Glad for the company. I hope Zhadar has fully recovered he saved our lives on that freighter."

as Rece was getting on his ship to fly back to his home he was thinking about money his mother probaly bowrode from one of the hutts.

Leet and Jade were walking to the medical center where Zhadar was! I am not going to leave til he is better! If your not going anywhere I will be staying here til he his bettter also! I believe he will Leet, Jade said to him!

Leto proceeded to the hangar bay; sure that Zhadar would make a full recovery.

After all, Chiss were supposed to be resilient.

As he began his pre-flight, and installed his Astromech. He began to reminisce about the home he hadn't seen in nearly five years.

"Zhadar, how are you feeling?" asked Leet walking into the room. The blue skinned Chiss turned and said . . .

Leet paused in mid-sentence - Zhadar was still under the powerful sedatives; tubes running from his body. Turning to the head medical droid Leet discussed his wingman's condition. Finding that Zhadar would be unconscious for several days; Leet turned to Jaina "Since I have no home to return to I will stay with Zhadar. If you have family to visit please feel free to do so; I know how important seeing family can be."

I will go only for a few days! I will contact you as soon as I reach Yavin! To check up on Zhadar ok Leet. I will be back in a few days! Jaina smiles and waalks off to her ship to head for Yavin for a few days!

"May the force be with you" Leet said to Jaina; watching her leave the room. Sitting next to Zhadar he quietly began waiting for his wingman to awaken.

I'm going to Yavin 4 too. Going to visit Jaina and Jacen Solo, and some friends from the academy.

As Leto completed his pre-flight he noticed the General and Jade enter the hangar.

Checking the flight plan filed he noticed that both were bound for Yavin.

Reaching into his satchel, his fingers traced the line of an antique data book, (Maybe I should swing by Yavin on my way back and return this. So much has happened... It's been so long.)

The last time he was home was to tell his ailing Foster Mother that her flesh and blood Daughter had died. Having to tell her that was the hardest thing he'd had to do in his life. And yet the truth of the situation was worse still.

After Leto had left Correlia, as part of a cargo shipping crew to make the money required to support the family, Rhea, his Foster sister fell in with a group of low lifes that hung around the lower levels of the Correlian Capital.

Three years later when Leto joined the Jedi Academy on Yavin IV, he got word Rhea was arrested in connection with a string of thefts in her home area. Leto left the academy to post her bail, and regretted having to tell Master Skywalker that he would be leaving for good to continue caring for his family. Master Luke claimed to understand, and before Leto left he loaned him a copy of an old data book filled with notes on Jedi training practices and meditations, he said it was made from one found in the home of his old Master Ben Kenobi on Tatooine.

Leto returned to shipping cargo, and soon was able to buy his own ship. A YT-2100 light transport, he named it 'Dream Chaser', and for the next year he and a small hired crew plied the space lanes moving whatever cargo they could, that is until the ship was attacked by pirates.

His ship was boarded by seven of them, all dressed in full body armor. His two shipmates managed to take down two each before they themselves were killed. Leto, having given up trying to shake them loose, came down from the cockpit and, enraged at the loss of his friends and the damage to his livelihood gave in to darker feelings.

He reached inside himself for the strength brought from fear and anger and threw the three remaining pirates into the far bulkhead killing one and seriously wounding the other. The uninjured pirate ran for the boarding hatch but the wounded one drew a weapon, the weapon screeched as it discharged and the running pirate dropped, but Leto not focused had his Mer-sonn out in microns and fired at the source of the blast.

Nothing short of sheer shock and terror raced through Leto as the pirate cried out and the voice was that of Rhea.

He ran to her, his rage gone, replaced by fear of himself. She explained that she shot her companion for deserting her and for letting this little raid get out of hand. Then she lost consciousness. Leto tried to focus the force to heal her, but he didn't have enough control to heal such a grievous wound. He kept trying to revive her for hours before finally accepting she was gone, and it was no one's fault but his own.

Three days later he went home to tell his mother. He sold both his ship and the pirate vessel which was still attached to his hull, and used some of the money to buy a droid for his mother to help around the house.

Calling from the cockpit, he asked " Any change in Drell's condition?"

No change Leto. Have fun on your trip. Jade where are you thought Lowbacca.

"I'm right here," as Jade said as she walked towards Lowbacca. "I am going to check back with Leet as soon as I get Yavin. Leet is going to stay with him until his situation changes."

"Safe journey Jade," called Leto from the cockpit of his fighter, " You too General"

" I will", Jade says to Leto. "If you are near Yavin don't be scared to stop by", Jade calls to Leto.

As Lowbacca boarded the shuttle with Jaina he felt great anticipation to see his friends on Yavin 4.

Jaina looked at Lowbacca and boared on the ship. To Yavin we go, hope Zhadar wakes up soon!

Jade has thought of Zhadar on the way to Yavin. Talking to General Lowbacca. It is going to be so good to see my sister and neice again. I wonder how Leet is doing?

Back at the base, Leet continued his vigil over the wounded Zhadar. This was the first time in months that Leet had time to contemplate the road that brought him here.

Cereans are a peace loving race, in their long cultural memory few warriors stand in a place of esteem, Jedi Master Ki-Adi Mundi being one such example. Instead Cereans excelled at science, philosophy, diplomacy - subjects which allowed their binary brains the chance to excel.

Leet had grown up enthralled with stories about the Jedi, much to the concern of his parents. When Master Skywalker opened the Jedi Academy, Leet quit his job with the New Republic Diplomatic Corps; and journeyed to Yavin - fulfilling his childhood dreams.

Even at the Jedi Academy, Leet seemed destined to use his new found abilities to further galactic peace. Until the Vong captured the planet where his family had fled to.

Leet began spending all his free time honing his skill with the Lightsaber, and then practicing dogfighting tactics, then small arms of all shapes and sizes.

But what of his family and friends?

As they get closer to Yavin. Jaina starts thinking back when she had to take care of her sister after their parents and older brother were cold bloodedly murdered in front of them. Jaina jumping up quick and fightting back and saved her sister and herslf from facing the fate as their parents and their brother. Jaina took her sister and herself and went to Yavin.

Jaina's sister has married and has a family of her own ,now. And Jaina has been gone for almost 3 years since she left to the academy to learns the ways of the Force and help make the galaxcy a safe place.

Jaina has trained well in lightsaber techniques. But mostly she wanted to control the force use she can sometimes use. That always seem to always get out of conrol. Jaina knows she sill has alot to learn. She's the type that isn't going to rush it though.

Then she thought about Leet and zhadar. Jaina looks at Lowbacca and says, General, when we get to Yavin I am going o contact Leet and check on Zhadar condition. I hope they are doing alright.

LOL , Jade looks at Lowbacca and says, I will then. I may meet up with ya.

With the week quickly coming to an end, Leet waited for his fellow Twin Suns to return.

The Ganeral and Jaina made it to Yavin. Jade sent off a message for Leet. We made it to Yavin. Checking in on the Situation of Zhadar. I plan on being back soon. Take care Leet. Jade out.

As the ship lands on Yavin. Jaina knows her message was sent to Leet and has Lowbacca with her. Jade turns to Lowbacca, I guess when we get off you are going to go to the academy? Cause if you're not in a rush you want to go with me to see my sister for a while since I didn't plan on staying there. And then we can head off to the academy. But it's ok if you don't want to. I will just meet you there, no problem. May the force be with you Lowbacca, Jade says as she turns and gets her things and is ready to board off. I'll meet you there.

Jade checks to see if she has response from Leet and she did. Nadine her sister saw the worried look on her face. Jade told her sister about Zhadar. Zhadar is strong and we all know he can pull through this.

Leet, He is physiccal good, that's wonderful. I wonder what would pull him out of the coma? We should be back soon. Take care Leet.

Leto set his X-wing down in the public berth under the name of Jace Rendeen, the name his Foster mother raised him under.

A hover Taxi conveyed him to a communal living complex in the capital.

Leto rang the door chime and waited, he was nervous, unsure of what to say.
Then the door slid open. Behind it stood a shiny automaton, RN-47, a robotic nurse.

"I'm sorry, but the lady of the house is not well and cannot come to the door, I am RN-47, personal living assist..."

Leto cut off the droid's speech, " Save it RN, how is my mother."

The droid cocked it's head to one side as if pondering the question, the replied, "The lady is well considering her condition."

From the back of the unit a raspy sounding female's voice interupted their conversation,"By 'condition' it means I'm still dying, so if you came to see me, I'd suggest that you come inside and let RN deal with the difficult tast of brewing some of that tea you sent from the Endor Moon."

"Hello mother, " Leto said, his trepidation evaporating in the face of his foster mother's light hearted sarcasm.

As Jade was walking to meet up with Lowbacca. Jade was happy just to see her sister. Jade makes it to the Jedi academy. Found Lowbacca and told him she wasn't going to stay. She was going to head back to the headquarters she is at with her squadron. Lowbacca said okay he will meet her back there with rest. May the Force be eith you Gen. Jade says as she turns to leave.

As Jade boared a ship transporter headed towards the headquarters. Jade sends a message to Leet before the ship leaves.

Leet, I am boarding a ship and it is getting ready to leave. I will be there soon. Stay with Zhadar and I will meet you there. Message shuts off and the ship leaves Yavin.

Lowbacca was extremely happy to see his old friends again but someone was missing from the reunion and it was Queen mother Tenel Ka. I wish we could all be reunited the General told Jade later on.

Jade makes it back, and heads off to her room to get cleaned up. Then left to see Leet and Zhadar. Jade nears Zhadar's room ,it is good to be back here again. She knocks as she slowly opens the door. Picking head inside. Leet turns his head and smiles to see Jade's return. Hey there! So, he still looks like he's sleeping and that's it. I am just glad he his stablized now. How were things here while i was gone?

Jade, they were nice and quiet; nothing happening to speak of. Zhadar is physically better, but he has still not recovered. How was Yavin?

Things were great in Yavin. Saw my lil sister and her family and that's about it and came back to here with you and Zhadar. And be here when the rst of the squadron gets back, Jade says with a smile, besides I can't go up there without all of you guys. Had to come back and check on Zhadar. Felt sor tof odd around my sister's husband. So, I cut my trip short and finish it off here with you guys, unless the General calls for me to go back to Yavin, But, I feel better being back already.

The general should be back in 2 to 3 days anyways.

As Lowbacca got back to starfighter command late that night he noticed his his message idicator on his comm blinking. Who could it be he hought. It was a notice to send a recall out to Twin suns for a major briefing.

Jaina got the generals notice and she went to go see how Lowbacca was and how things were going. As Jaina came back to Zhadar's room she told Leet that when the Twins arrive there will be a breifing.

Rece came back from tatoine happy to see every one. "Hello my fellow twins!" Rece said with excitement.

OOC: Thanks for the shout out Jim3233, Sorry I wasn't around lately, I head back to school next week and have to write a supplementary Exam on the second day of class. I really need to pass.

Leto, finished his visit with bittersweet feelings. He was always glad to see his foster Mother and was happy that she bore him no ill for his extended absence. But at the same time realized that the time will come soon that she will be gone, and nothing even the best of medicine could offer would change that.

Upon arriving back at starfighter command, Leto proceeded to the breifing room.
" Cadet Leto Aldriss reporting in General. I hope I'm not late. Hi Jaina, how was Yavin I'm sorry that I wasn't able to make it to the academy, but I holo'd Master Skywalker after I left Correlia to say hi, I think I'll head there on our next leave."

" And Leet, I hope things weren't to boring here without us. Was there any change in Drell, I can only sense him faintly in the force."

Cadet! Jaina says to Leto. You mean Flight Officer Leto, says as she smiled. Got premoted, all of us. I hope your visit went well, I hope. Yavin was great, she says to Leto.

Okay Twins we have just learned of two SDs and their support craft captured by the pirates we recently tangled with. The pirates call themselves the Antonian raiders. They have sent an ultimatum to the GA saying they'll slag Ord Mantell if they don't give us up. Of course we have been assigned to the Ralroost which is a part of task force 335. Other ships include a Star Destroyer, Mon Cal cruiser, three Republic cruisers, and an old bulk cruiser converted into a starfihter carrier. We leave at 1500. Part of the reason I went to Yavin was to temporarily recruit 4 Jedi pilots until we can officialy have four other pilots assidned to us. When we arrive at the Ralroost Admiral Kre'fey will brief us.

Flight Officer Leet was intrigued by the news, who were the 4 new pilots going to be? Turning to Jaina, he says, "Jaina, any idea who the General recruited?"

Jaina listened to the General speak. She turned and looked at Leet. Well from the sound of it, we will have four more recruits to make us a full squadron. I have no idea who the new recruits are yet. As soon as I find out I will be sure to let you know. We will soon know.

"Good, although I wish Zhadar would recover. I will miss him on my wing. Any idea who will be protecting my wing?" Leet asked.

There was a knock at the door at the breififng room. Jaina answered the door. Gaven what are you doing here? Jaina asked with a big grin. I am here as one of the new recruits in the twin suns squadron. You are here. I am glad you are here. Let me introduce you to the rest of the twin suns.

Gaven came inside. This is Leet, Leto and Reece. This is Gaven Eris, we grew up together. He is one of our new recruits.

Zindra Daine, landed her X-Wing in the docking bay gracefully. Her trip from Yavin had been uneventful, but had given her time to get over her surprise about the general's offer. Walking into the briefing room she quietly slips to a corner, observing Leet, Jaina and Gavin talking.

Welcome Gavin. So when are set to leave?

Jaina saw someone slip in he breifing room. Are you looking for the Twin Suns? Yes I am, she says. Another recruit, Jaina says, Welcome to the Twin Suns.

"Reece 2 SD and our support craft has been captured by the pirates we just intangled with."jaina told told him. "We know now they call themseves the Antonina Raiders",Leet said. " They'll slag Ord Mantell if they don't give us up."

"Gavin and Zindra are two more recruits from the academy to make us a squadron. Maybe the other two will meet us there. I am not sure on that. We are assigned to the Ralroost and we will be apart of the Task Force 335. We leave at 1500 and get to Ralroost for a breifing with Admiral Kre'fey.

"The more Jedi in our group the better." said Leet "I have to assume that these pirates are part of the Peace Brigade?"

" Peace Brigade," Jaina said couriously.

"Mercs, outlaws and anti-Jedi beings. They want to trade Jedi and Force users to the Vong in exchange for freedom, or credits. Scum." Zindra spat out. The anger in her reply shocked Leet and Jaina.

Jaina looked at Leet , Wow! I guess we really made them mad!

"Looks like we have Jaina. Zindra, a pleasure to meet you. Now Gavin, I think you were about to tell us about your flight experience - any embaressing stories about the XO would be appreciated." Leet replied.

Kidding she would slap me right now if i said anything, Gavin said quickly. Not bad just in a battle she ended up with us toteing her back. Jaina smiled, Oh yeah! A laughable moment for them and something Gavin will not me it down. Maybe he can get more on with you guys Jaina said simling. I was nailed in the tail, really good that time.

Zindra stood there, listening to their banter - trying to calm down, find peace in the force. She wondered whether she should try making friends here . . .

Leet laughed, bit down a witty reply and said, "Well on that note I am going to have a look at my X-wing; better get pre-flight started." Looking directly at the newcomers he added "Hopefully the General won't rip anyones arms out for doing a sloppy pre-flight today . . ."

Giving Jaina a bemused look Leet went to start his checklist.

"Jaina looked at Leet, Zhadar will be ok." Were right behind you. I don't know where the other two are. I hope they are going staight there. May the force be with you, Leet, Jaina says.

Boarding quickly, Leet felt the cockpit close around him. Checking his instruments, the thrum of his repulsors echoing in his ears, Leet says "Zindra, form on my wing."

Jaina listens to her X-Wing hum up." Twins 4 is ready to take off, how about you guys?" Jaina says. Eveeryone said , they were ready." Ralroost, Lets go." Leet,We'll be back in time for Zhadar to wake up, I hope!"

Zindra formed quickly on Leet's wing, quietly waiting, as the rest of the squadron formed up. Listening to the banter of the others brought back painful memories of her last squadron.
