Jaina heard Soontir. " Captain Solo, we are good to go this time." she replies back as she finished pre-flights on the Headhunter .

" Alright, lets get moving...I'll meet you guys out there." she comms in as she lifted off out of the landing bay.

*egrog lifts off and takes off after jaina* dake, form up on my wing

*Dake lifts off and forms up on egrog wing* "Already there" *Dake roles his R-Wing over egrog and takes up position on his other wing*

As Blood squadron circled the planet, Leet looked out of his Cloak fighter and said "The only readings I'm getting are near the equator; should we go investigate?"

[Leto Aldriss]

Leto cruised in low over the barren rock that was once a lush, green world. Reaching out with the force he could sense the cold, brooding prescence of the Dark Jedi.

"Dake," Leto commed, "I heard that you are interested in learning the way of the force."

"I've spoken with Colonel Jade, and Major Leet, and they suggested that I take you on as a Padawan," Leto said, "I would like to accept the challenge if you'd accept."

As Leet landed on the planet Ithor, he was saddened by the remains of the once lovely planet. Putting on an air filter, Leet jumped from the cloak shaped fighter.

"Where to?" He asked.

Jaina landed by Leet. She jumped out and walked over towards the group.

*letting out a long sigh, trying to get rid of the feeling in his gut, egrog puts on an air filter and hops out* well, where to?

Leet pointed to the north, "That way towards the mountains." Leet then said "Leto, you guys come at it from the left, we'll take the right." Nodding at Dake, Egrog and Leto; the group parted ways.

*egrog nods* good luck everyone, and may the Force be with you

Running along Leet's relexes were taut, he just had a bad feeling.
Closing in on the mountain, movement caught his attention. "Over there . . ."

" Good Luck and May the Force be with you." she says as she took off after Leet and Zhadar.

As Jaina heard Leet say " Over there...." she paused as she had a very bad feeling about this.

" What do you think, Leet?"

Sighing, Leet replied "Our duty, I suppose." Walking up the mountain, the stillness was broken by a cry; a Vong warcry.

In orbit around the planet of Ithor, Blood squadron was about to get an initiation in fire. "Two squadrons of skips, form into trios and lets take them." Soontir ordered.

Jaina looked at Leet and Zhadar.

*egrog rolls to the side as three razor bugs rip through where he was standing. he stands up and activates his lightsaber* leto, there's too many! let's make our way towards the others we'll have a better chance of holding them off when we're all together!

*leto cuts down two thud bugs* i agree, let's go!

*they begin making their way to the others with egrog taking point and leto and dake slightyl behind and to the sides*

Soontir, with his Chiss wingmen attack the skips with a precision taught in training vids. They chose a skip and methodically began attacking its dovin basal.

Leet and his friends crested a hill to find a horde of Vong, being led by a Jedi?

Jaina turned her head to Leet and Zhadar. " There he is. I don't think he knows we are even here." she says as she grabbed her lightsaber and gave them the look they new it was a go. As Jaina ran out with her saber egnited and cut a Vong'shead off.

Jaina and Zhadar ran out ahead, charging forward they killed several Vong on the way to the dark Jedi. Jaina and Zhadar stood facing their enemy, while Leet stood at their backs, keeping the Vong off their backs while they challenged him.

Jaina and Zhadar made it to the Dark Jedi. Jaina stood in front of him as Zhadar stood on the side of him. Zhadar lunged towards the dark jedi.

*egrog, leto, and dake run out into the middle of an even larger battle, and a jedi leading the march against jaina, leet, and zhardar* there they are! let's go!

*they run forward and begin cutting their way through the vong to reach the front*

Zhadar's lunge brought him too far forward, the Dark Jedi made a quick riposte and then a slash.

Leet never saw the blow that killed Zhadar, he just heard Jaina's scream and Zhadar's body hitting the ground. Summoning the force, Leet threw every rock near him toward the Vong encircling them.

*egrog feels zhardars death through the Force and the sudden anger that rose in leet. he watched as rocks flew out towards the vong. many of them started scattering and running away* WHAT?!

*as egrog started trying to move forward a vong ran up behind him and hit him over the head, knocking egrog to the ground, out cold*

Jaina watched as Zhadar body hit the ground. Jaina looked at the Dark Jedi, she opened herself up to the force as she ran towards him. She came up to with her lightsaber up and stuck down as hard as she could shen he blocked it and pushed her back and she hit the ground hard.

Watching Egrog go down, Leet realized they weren't trying to kill them, just capture. Leet spun around just in time to watch Jaina go down. Leet tried sprinting the distance; but a sea of Vong warriors kept him from getting to Jaina's fallen body. Then she disappeared in the force.

*egrog suddenly snaps back awake and can't sense jaina. he stands up quickly and looks around until he spots a huge group of vong piled around together* NOOOOOOO!!!!

*he begins running forward towards the pile but is continually stopped by more and more vong until he starts to be forced back, unable to move forward*

Both of Leet's brains were in hyperspace; his family, Zindra, and now his two best friends Zhadar and Jaina. His anger rising, Leet opened himself up fully to the force. His only thought as the lightning lept from his fingers was "Master Luke is wrong, the Vong are pure evil."

*egrog felt leet's rage explode through the Force and watch a wave of blue lightning flew out of his fingertips at the vong, cooking them instantly. egrog shoved the vong in front of him off and began running forward, tears streaming down his face*

Leet stopped, exhausted. Seeing the more Vong are coming, he yells to Egrog and his group "Back to the ships, before they regroup!" Grabbing Zhadar's body Leet comms Fel "We need air cover now! Col. Solo and Captain Zhadar are dead!" Leet felt the weight of command push down on him.

*egrog runs to leet, not sure of what to say, not able to comprehend what was going on*

Leading his shocked comrades back to their ships; Leet put Zhadar's body in his fighter. The Vong were giving them distance, not wanting to be killed, but wanting to fight.

Leet said "Let's blast these scarheads from the air!" As his cloakshaped fighters repulsors engaged, Leet pivoted the ship and began firing his turbolasers at point blank range.

[Kapit]

*egrog climbs into his headhunter, barely able to think, let alone be able to pilot his fighter back into space. he blacks out*

*he wakes up sitting in the hangar, his fighter powered down, its cockpit open*

*Dake pauses as he enters his cockpit and turns around to his brother* "I will be back for you" *he whispers*

*Dake lands in the hanger pulling hi R-Wing next to Egrog's headhunter* "They are leaving the planet" *he gets out and sits down on the cold floor*

*egrog slowly climbs out of his fighter, falls is more like it. he can barely stand up, and falls to the floor, lying on his back*

*Dake holds his lightsaber in his hands, before getting up and going back into the cockpit, to get a few things out*

"Egrog, i picked this up before i left the planet, its Jaina lightsaber, i think she would have wanted you to have it"

*egrog stares up at the lights on the cieling, too many thoughts running thorugh his head, too many emotions*

Leet pulled Zhadar's body from his cockpit; his blue body limp. He wasn't sure what to do next, only that he was in charge.

Soontir was having a good day, then confused messages from the surface starting coming in. Blood squadron opened a lane so that the Jedi could fly through. He did notice they were short two snubfighters.

Leto stood before Ergog and steadied him, ofering his strength through the force. He didn't know what to say. Jaina's loss was difficult on him as well, they'd been through much together.

Eventually he turned his attention to Dake, "Your brother is more formidable than I thought, perhaps you had better tell us more about Bendick's story."

He motioned for Dake to follow him, as he led the way to the gymnasium. They reached the center of the floor and Leto motioned for him to sit, as he did, adopting a meditative pose.

Alys stayed close to Soontir's tail. vaping skips as she needed to. Feeling something, Alys shook her head, focusing on the fact that they needed to get out of there.

*egrog didn't move for a long time, he just stayed on the floor, looking up at the cieling*

*Dake begins to meditate, thoughts slipping through his mind about Egrog, Jaina, Zhandar and his brother*

*mutter to himself* "its all my fault"

[Leto Aldriss]

Leto couldn't help but sympathize. He himself had once felt that way about the loss of his own crew. He tried to reinforce Dake with consolation and the notion that it was his brother and the Vong, and not him that were to blame.

"It would help to know how your brother came to the Darkside." Leto said calmly, "Please tell me what you can."

He asked this, all the while sending serene emanations in the force, hoping that it would help steady his resolve.

[Cassus Fett]

"I dont really know why it happened i guess it was after our cousin was killed by accident by Bendick in training" *sighs* "It must of went down hill for him from then on, we didnt speak much after the accident, not until the Vong took him when he said, 'We will meet again brother" *pauses* "thats all i can tell you"

[Leto Aldriss]

Leto could only guess as to the cause of Bendick's turning. One thing was for sure, Dake was going to need to learn fast if he was to face him again.

"Let's see how far you've progressed on your own shall we?" Leto offered, "can I see your lightsaber," he asked, holding out his hand.

When Dake rose, Leto motioned for him to remain seated. Getting the hint Dake summoned his concentration and floated the weapon through the air.

Leto admired the craftmanship, the curved immitter was designed to complement aspects of form II according to the data Leto had accumulated over the years, "What lead you to chose this design?" Leto asked, knowing of only two cases in the last hundred years, both sith.

Leet went to the bridge, seeing the Captain he said "Recall Blood squadron. Then track all ships leaving this system, try to calculate all possible destinations."

[Soontir Solo]

Captain Solo made sure all the Ties were back in the frigate then followed in himself, making sure he was the last one off the field of battle. He got out of his fighter.

"Its time to settle some things."

Soontir comms Major Leet

"Major Leet sir, this is Captain Solo requesting a private meeting with you sir, with your permission."

Soontir hoped the Major would oblige

"I dont really know. I saw images of Count Dooku during my childhood and noticed his lightsaber hilt design" Dake replies "Who was the other sith you had this?"

[Leto Aldriss]

"Asaj Ventress, a pupil of Dooku's, used a pair of such weapons," Leto replied, "She was responsible for many jedi deaths during the clone wars."

[Cassus Fett]

"O, well i dont intended to kill Jedi, i intend to use it for good not evil" *says Dake* "Never heard of Asaj Ventress before"

[Leto Aldriss]

"Glad to hear it," Leto said smiling, "The design does have benefits, it allows you greater swings and longer reach while only sacrificing minimal control."

Leto stands, "let's try a few exercises, hand to hand at first."

"What have you learned about combat?"

*Standing up* Ok

[Leto Aldriss]

Leto adopts a standard military combat stance, his arms poised in front slightly bent at the elbows towards his torso, allowing for quick strikes and grabs but also keeping close enough to block.

Without noise or warning, Leto darts in making a speedy jab and cross combo that was more designed to force Dake to respond than actually land a hit.

Dake responds quickly and knocks Leto to the ground *Laughs* "You didnt think i would do that did you?" *helping Leto up*

[Leto Aldriss]

Leto laughs as well, "You were trained by who again?" he asks, this time making sure to keep his eye on Dake a little more, as well as his sense in the force.

"Im mandalorian, kicking arse coem naturally" *Gets ready to Leto's next move*

[Leto Aldriss]

"Remember this is a learning excercise"

"i know, sorry master"

[Leto Aldriss]

Adopting the stance again, Leto throws a simmilar assault, this time rolling his attack to the right and at the last second dropping in low, coming up underneath Dake's defense, locking his arm and tagging him in the ribs.

"Don't be sorry, being good at combat, it makes learning this force lesson easier" Leto admitted, "But how did I anticipate your response."

"i dont now, i just saw what you were planning to do"

"There are three answers," Leto said, "First I was painfully a witness to your previous response, second I learned to read the way you telegraph physically, though I admit you do so far less than others,and third I felt your actions and intent throught the force."

"There's a reason for this excersise," Leto said straightening his robes, "The Vong may not be able to read you in the force, but your brother certainly can, you must learn to quiet yourself and your emotions in battle."

"I'll drill with you for the next few hours, and while we battle, I will present things for you to think on," Leto told him, "things that will distract your emotions while keeping you in tune with the force."

"Draw your lightsaber," said Leto as he retrieved his own and lit the Violet blade that cast an eerie shade on his skin.

"My first question is this: Master Yoda lived to be nine hundred years old, Obi-wan Kenobi was still hale and hearty even in his mddle age. Palpatine, while only in his seventies was decrepid and desicated and Vader was never able to heal his ravaged body even though he learned the healing arts of the force. All four were strong in the force, but why did the jedi remain physically strong while the dark ones declined?" and with that Leto launched himself into combat, matching him blow for parry, each time seeking to create a balance, a battle with no winner.

Crew we will be having a memorial service and will decide what to do about Knight squad. Also I have some ideas for modifications to the frigate.

*Dake steps back as Leto attacks again his lightsaber cast an eerie shade of green on his face* "I dont have an answer to that master" Dake replies as he blocks another strike from Leto

"Captain Solo, I will meet with you at your convenience." Leet said. Turning to the General he said "Sir its good to see you up and about again."

[Leto Aldriss]

"Consider the force as you would a being," Leto invited, "trying to force someone to do something that is against their nature is hard work, dominating them sufficiently to obey
takes energy and strength."

Leto draws on the force for a burst of speed, slashing quickly and shifting his grip for an inclined back hand, making Dake work harder to keep up.

"However, if instead you befriend the force, make it not just your ally but your closest companion, the force will aid you in times of strife, support you in battle, heal you, comfort you, and warn you of danger," Leto added, "this is where the difference between light and dark is not in the force, but in the way the force is directed, with tyranny or comraderie."

Trel lay exhausted on his bed from the outing as Blood 3. The interceptor was extremely akward for him, but he had gotten used to it. His kill count was particularly low for this encounter, but he felt good for the next one. But, now it was nap time.

"Yes master" *Dake uses the force to speed up his defense and turn it into an attack, leaping over leto and striking his lightsaber as he jumps over*

"At that point we were overwhelmed by Vong, Zhadar and Jaina turned to fight the Jedi while I kept the Vong warriors off of them. Zhadar was killed outright, Jaina is missing and presumed dead. I was able to recover Zhadar's body, but there were too many of them . . . I couldn't make it to Jaina's. I fought my way to Major Leto and his squad, and we were able to fight our way back; with some fire support Col. Fel." Leet concluded "Captain Solo and the Blood squadron was able to blast a hole for us through the skips. We had to leave Zhadar's and Jaina's ships on Ithor."

Parrying the over head attack, and responding with a back handed slash of his own just before Dake hit the floor.

Leto followed it up with a shove of the force knocking Dake from his feet before he could really set them.

Leto thumbed off his lightsaber and offered his hand, "You're skills are really impressive," he commended, "Soon we'll have a chance to test them in real combat."

Reaching into his tunic, Leto retrieved a datapad and handed it to Dake, "This is a set of holos made from the holocron the last time I was on Yavin, They describe lightsaber combat in forms one, two, three, and four complete with tutorials, you can review them at your convenience."

"If you can master most of two, three, and four I'll see about getting the information on some of the other forms." Leto said, " Right now I'd like to talk with General Lowbacca, and Major Leet."

[Soontir Solo]

Soontir walked up to Major Leet in private

"Sir why is it Chan didn't come forth with the information he knew about the Dark Jedi at the very beginning?This wsa information he kept from the squadron. Now one of us is dead and another probably so. Had the information come at the beginning the plans made would have been different. We went in ill-informed and now we have paid the consequences. I don't shy from death but I do take issue when deaths occur meaninglessly. And what is our plan for the future now? And will there be action taken against Flight Officer Chan?"

*Dake takes the datapads and heads for his room*

[Leto Aldriss]

Leto entered the room just following Captain Solo's accusation of Dake.

"He kept silent, a family embarassment," Leto stated, "Was it wrong? Yes, but I do sympathize."

"On the other hand, He did come forward and admit it," Leto continued, "and the results of the confrontation come not from Dake's lack of warning, but our own underestimation of this Dark Jedi's abbilities."

"We are all guilty of this, largely because not one of us has had to face a Dark Jedi in combat before," Leto retorted, "General, I have sent to Kam Solusar for specific information on combat during the Sith War." Leto told them, "I hope it will give us an edge in not only fighting, but tracking this Sith wannabe."

"I appologize for superceeding you General, but at the time I was unaware that you were available, and I didn't think Major Leet would object."

Dake wonders past the room with Captain Solo, Leto and he General, over hearing what they have said

Looking from Captain Solo to Major Leto, Major Leet responded "Captain you know how I feel when information has been kept from us. Thankfully, I don't have to handle it, since the General is now in charge. Leto, have we any information from Dake that will help us next time around? Fighting styles? Training?"

[Leto Aldriss]

"I get the distinct impression that he fights extremely well," Leto said, "If his brother is any indication."

"I believe that is why Dake was so set on learning the form 7 fighting style," He continued, "I still caution about that aspect, and I don't beleive that any of us have what is nescessary to master form 7, but I will continue refining is as well as my own fighting ability, I will make holos of the training sessions available for review."

"Maybe upon re-examination we will find the answer."

OOC: hey everyone, hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving, and this is probably going to be my only post until sunday, so i'll see you guys then!



*egrog wakes up suddenly and walks into his fresher, staring at himself in the mirror, the events of the last couple days still haunting him. he was sleeping less and had refused to leave his room for anything, not wanting to talk to anyone, not caring what was going on around him. he'd even shut himself off from the Force, trying to stay as insular as possible*

Dake reaches his room and begins training while CT and R7 work on updating Dakes weapons

"These three forms are really easy" *Dake powers down his saber and attachs it to his belt*

Leto just shrugged, "I have so far been unable to determine that, and I belive that any inquisition now may be met with conciderable resistance."

"General, with your permission I'd like to return to Ithor with Knight Squad, to scout the area," Leto said turning, "I don't sense the Dark Jedi's presence, but there may be some clues that will help us find him?"

"And I believe that staying focused on his brother, in the company of friends, may help him to relax his guard concerning his past."

Knight squad is cleared to go. I just got a personal call from Master Skywalker, the dark Jedi hit a convoy that was under his protection. He and Corran Horn were able to get most of the convoy to safety except for a troop carrier. My ideas for the frigate were that on all the weapon turrets that we weld on bent pieces of metal so that the turrets look like they have been slagged. but they haven't cause they will be point from a hole in the joint in the "slagged" turret. What do you think?

Leto commed the members of Knight squad and ordered them to prep their fighters to launch at 06:00 standard hours.

Then he commed Dake and asked him to meet him at the Officers lounge.

"No time to be coy Dake," Leto said, "You are one of the most skilled students I ever met, who trained you before you came here?"

"I was trained by my father until his death, which then i trained from holocrons stored in R7" *looks at Leto* "Why you asking?"

*Turning to R7 and CT* Get my R-Wing ready to fly

"So your father was a Jedi," Leto reflected, "that explains somethings, and being from Mandalorian descent there would be little records of the that Jedi line."

"I ask because knowing something of the trainingtht you ecieved may help in deeating your brother."

"Would you allow me to view the holo materials in your R7?" Leto inquired, "they may lend some insight to the skills your brother possesses, and maybe a flaw in his combat."

[Soontir Solo]

Soontir left the meeting full of anger. He didn't understand how this Chan, who withheld such information that led to the death of two of the best fighters in the squadron, could just be looked over as if he did nothing wrong.

"Time to make a report to General Fel, then I may need to talk to Egrog, seeing as it was obvious he had strong feelings for the colonel yet nobody is trying to talk to him."

Soontir went to his room to make his holomessage to his superiors.

After leaving the General's presence, Leet's anger was going full tilt. He was wondering how the General could take the death of two of his officer's with so little . . . emotion.

Trying to calm himself, Leet picked up his com "Soontir, Rece and Alys - meet in the landing bay in one hour. We will be leaving shortly thereafter."

After sleeping of much of his distress from Jaina's death, Trel realized that he was being selfish. He hadn't seen Egrog since that fateful mission.

He made his way to Egrog's room and knocked on the door. He thought about trying to say something witty or funny, but couldn't bring himself to do it. "Egrog," he forced from his hoarse throat, "you in there?"

[Leto Aldriss]

"The Chiss have a very strict chain of command and protocol, with stern consequences for violator, " Leto said, "He is also likely deeply troubled, like all of us, by the death of Drell and Jade."

Leto dismissed Dake after his droid delivered the holos, as he reviewed their contents he began to realize why Dake's skills seem so advanced. The holos contained not only beginer materials but a full array of advance techniques. With an array of training materials like these, one could move well beyond the standard training of a Padawan.

The only flaw in this training is that there would be a shortage of variety in the types of opponents available. Maybe the use of some of form II 's finesse parries and form

Leet waited as the three pilots reported to the hanger bay. While waiting Leet meditated, trying to lose the anger which was threatened to overcome him.

*Dake walks away* "i think you should know that im hurting too, ill never forgive myself for the deaths of both of my friends, even though it was my brother who killed them" *He continues down to the hangar*

*egrog looks over at the door* he's not here right now. leave a message and he might come back *he says, and rolls back over, trying to ignore trel's constant knocking*

"Egrog, buddy," Trel half-begged, "Look, man, you can't just sleep away your sorrows. Trust me I already tried. You gotta talk this out. We gotta talk it out together. That's what friends and squadron mates are for." He paused and listened. "Comon buddy."

*Dake enters the hangar with R7* "Hey guys" *nobody answers* "Fine please yourselves"

*egrog looks over at the door. he picks up a bottle and throws it at the door*

Trel sighed frustratedly. "Look, I'm gonna get in one way or another. I'm not afraid to call Reli and get her to hack into your room. That's how we got George in there, remeber?" Trel aloud himself a slight chuckle at the memory, but the spark of hapiness was soon drowned again by sorrow. "I'll get her!" He wondered if Egrog would call his bluff. He really didn't feel like seeing Reli right now. He couldn't let her see him this depressed...again.

[Cassus Fett]

*Dake begins to tinker around his R-Wing putting his things in the small cargo hold below the cockpit* "CT, R7 i think you my only good friends around here at the moment, no-one seems to want to speak to me expect for Leto and thats only because he has been ordered to instruct me"

*egrog smiles slightly* so soon you forget that i'm a jedi?...depression tends to be quite obvious......door's open anyways

"Oh." Trel mentally kicked himself as he pushed the 'open' button and the door smoothly slid open for him. He found himself looking at an un-shaven sad version of his good friend. Trel was pretty sure he didn't look much better. "So...how ya doin?"

*egrog points at three bottles* ask them, they might know. all i remember is coming back, passing out, and waking up with them in front of me

"and you told me to stop drinking..." Trel sat on the bed and gave his friend a friendly pat on the shoulder. "Look, i really don't know what to say, but i think that its smarter if we spend this crappy time together."

[Kapit]

*egrog rolls onto his back and stares at the cieling* you know, this really, really, sucks. things were going so good, happier than i'd been in a long time, and those blasted vong had to take it all away....

[DarthSolo]

"yeah, I know." Trel struggled to continue and say something meaningful. "That's why we have to blast the scar heads to star dust."

[Cassus Fett]

"Im heading back to my room, CT, R7 come on lets go" *Dake, CT and R7 head towards his room*

*walking past Egrog room, Dake notices the door open, so he runs past as fast as he could, so Egrog might not notice him*

"What the sith was that?" trel says as he notices something go past the door.

*CT and R7 passes the door at thier normal speed*

*whispering to CT and R7* hurry up

hahaha, scar dust, i'd like to see that........

*sees something run past* that was dake, he doesn't want to be noticed, but *raising his voice* he should try masking his presence in the Force first!

"Oh, so we ignore him?"

"I had enough of this everyone blaming me" *Dake walks back and stands at the entrance of Egrog door* "You cant take it out on me, i havent done anything" *Dake reaches for his lightsaber*

whose taking anything out on you, dake? i was making a joke!

*Taking his hand away from his lightsaber* Sorry, im just a little fed up, especially Captain Solo, he is blaming me *pauses*

*egrog starts laughing* don't mind him, he's just crazy, and if he tries anything, let me know *he says, smiling for the first time in days*

"Do you mind if i come sit with you guys?" *smiles* "I could do with that bottle"

"Comon on in," Trel said nervously after getting over the shock of almost seeing to Jedi battle it out in complete rage. "yea, have a drink"

*tosses a bottle at dake* drink it all so i don't have to

[DarthSolo]

"And i quit drinking thanks to this drunk," trel joked patting Egrog on the shoulder. "So....how's Alys doin?" he asked sheepishly.

[Cassus Fett]

*Grabs the bottle and begins drinking as he sits down* "I think she is fine, havent spoke to her much since what happened"

[DarthSolo]

"Screw it," trel said as he grabbed a bottle and opened it. "Ya know," he started after he felt the first sip of alcohol affect his brain ever so slightly, "I almost went after Alys....but then i became a drunk." he paused and thought. "damnit."

[Kapit]

*egrog laughs* it's a good thing you didn't, reli would've killed you, even though you aren't rechnically together

"rechnically!" Trel laughed. "Alcohol good. Reli's got nothing on me," he lied to himself. "I have everything i need. Two Jedi to bum around with and a big friggin load of booze!"

[Cassus Fett]

"Well im with her now" *Grabs the bottle of Trel and drinks some more* its ended once already cause of how i acted when we went into combat with the Vong cruiser *laughs* but she has taken me back *smiles as he drinks some more*

[Kapit]

*egrog sighs* dake, to test your abilities, you need to use the Force to take the bottle from trel. now trel, hold on for dear life

"Sithspit. ok," he took another drink. "Go ahead."

[Cassus Fett]

*Dake lifts the bottle but Trel goes with it as he wont let go* "Trel let go" *Dake says as he shakes the bottle and Trel*

[DarthSolo]

"Hell no," Trel said as he tried to bring his lips to the head of the bottle for another drink. "this is kinda fun anyway."

[Kapit]

*egrog laughs as he watches dake try and get the bottle away* try concentrating more, dake.....visualize the bottle coming to you

[Cassus Fett]

"You asked for it" *Dake spins Trel on his back so more drink will enter his mouth faster* "I told you"

[DarthSolo]

"Sweet," Trel gurgles through the river of alcohol flowing into his mouth. "You Jedi are great, ive decided. Now, my decision might be influenced by other chemical sources, but hey....can you guys scratch that part of your back with te Force? You know....that part that you can never reach...."

[Kapit]

*egrog grabs hold of the bottle with the Force and flips it away from trel* with the Force, there are no 'itches' you just don't think about it

[Cassus Fett]

"No chance" *Dake spins Trel back the other way so the booze begins to flow towards the floor and Dake*

[DarthSolo]

"DAMNIT!" The Jedi let go of him and he fell onto the soft bed. "Oh well, time for another bottle."

*egrog looks around* that was the last one.....

"can't you Jedi create alcohol using the Force?"

[Cassus Fett]

"I think ive got a few in my room"

[DarthSolo]

"Lets just order some through room service...on the general!"

right, create alcohol out of nothing?? sure trel, sure, i'll get right on it....

"Pfft. Comon Egrog, you've got rank, call up those service droids and have em bring some Corellian Whisky to the room. And make sure they know the general wants it!"

"i think he will be really angry with us if we do that, ill call R7 to bring the case of booze ive got hidden away for emergancies"

*comm* R7 can you bring down the case of alcohol

*R7 begins to pull the case towards Egrog room, as it is next to Dakes*

*activates comm and relays the message* it's on its way, just don't make a mess in here *looks around at his room. there's clothes everywhere and it's an overall mess* eh, forget it, have fun

"Sweet sweet booze!" Trel endulged himself thorougly.

"Go easy on this stuff, you guys wont be able to handle it" *laughs* "Its illegal everywhere but the Mandalorian Empire" *laughs as he opens a bottle and begins to drink it"

*egrog looks at it, takes a small drink, and puts it back down* eh, i like the corellian stuff, and rigth now, nothing is tasting too good...

"nonesense," trel defied Dake's comment. "I can handle anything." He then passed out.

*egrog looks at the now passed out trel* i figured it would happen

As the pilot walk in, Leet addresses them, "Welcome to two flight. We are going to investigate the remains of a convoy Master Skywalker believes was hit by forces under the command of our Dark Jedi."

[Soontir Solo]

Captain Solo heard what Leet said, and though he wished there was more time to get things straightened out he knew his duty.

"When do we launch sir? And will it be just us?"

[Kapit]

*egrog looks at the passed out trel, and thinks of an idea. getting up, he finds a marker and draws on trels face until he looks like an ewok*

"Yes, second flight will be alone in this; the Knights will going back to Ithor to look for clues. We leave as soon as we are ready. This is a quick recon mission, we are going to see if anything in the wreckage or some surviving memory core will allow us to guess a destination." Leet replied.

[Soontir Solo]

"Well I am ready now sir. My Tie Defender is ready to go."

"Well then, let's go. Rece has my wing; Alys yours." Pulling Soontir aside Leet said "When the squadron reaches full strength again, I'm going to recommend you for three flight leader, Soontir."

[Soontir Solo]

"Very well sir. Though I do want to talk about that more later. But as for now May the force be with us."

With that Soontir saluted and got into his Tie Defender, stopping for a second to admire its design once more. There was a bit of plasma scoring on one of the solar panels but nothing too bad. He ran the pre-flight, exited the frigate and waited for Major Leet's go ahead to go to hyperspace.

Sitting in his cloak-shaped fighter, Leet ran a quick pre-flight. Launching into the depths of space he simply ordered "Hyperspace."

[DarthSolo]

Trel woke up, but immediatly regretted it. The room he was in seemed to have a grudge against him, as it was moving in circles very fast and screaming in his ears. Trel decided that he should leave this particularly angry room and decided to stand up. The room didn't like that, and soon Trel found himself on the floor again, feeling defeated and guilty. He knew why the room was upset with him. He got drunk, and just a few weeks ago he had sworn off drinking. Somehow the room must have heard about this, and was now very upset that he had broken his promise.

Or, maybe the room was mad at him for vomitting all over its nicely painted white walls. Either way, the room was torturing him, and not letting him leave.

From the floor Trel saw the ceiling spinning angrily. The room was still screaming violently into his ears, but Trel couldn't find the room's mouth so he could attempt to throw something at it to make it be quiet.

Trel then realized whose room this likely was. "Egrog, your room is upset with me. Tell it I'm sorry."

[Kapit]

*egrog sticks his head out of the fresher* thanks for puking all over my room, it's greatly appreciated!

[Soontir Solo]

Soontir waited patiently while his fighter was in hyperspace, thinking about what may lie ahead of them and hoping it would be something that would allow them to get some much needed answers.

[DarthSolo]

"So you and the room are both mad at me?" Trel attempted to stand again, but failed misrebly. "I see how it is."

[Kapit]

*egrog walks out, looking around* you were passed out the entire time i was cleaning the place. dake left right when you began heave-ho-ing, so he owes us, well, owes me at least

[DarthSolo]

"yeah, take that room, its not all my fault." The room still didnt relent. "Hey, buddy, you wanna get me a drink of water and maybe some pain killers? Maybe they will shut the room up."

[Kapit]

*reaches back into the freaher* way ahead of ya

*hands water and pain killers to trel*

[DarthSolo]

"Thank you!" Trel took the pills and closed his eyes. That was the only act of rebellion against the madness of the room. But soon, Trel could open his eyes, and the room had stopped screaming and spinning. He stood and punched the wall softly. "What you got now?"

[Soontir Solo]

Soontir saw that only 1 minute remained to the reversion to real space. Hopefully this mission would go to plan.

[DarthSolo]

"Egrog," trel started as he picked up a rag and started washing his vomit off the walls, "how do we go about every day life now? Do we just keep going? Pretending nothing really happened? What do we do?"

[Kapit]

*egrog shakes his head* i have no idea what to do right now, there's so much that's going on.......it's hard to deal with......i mean, it's such a huge loss.....and what's worse, i was right there! i was RIGHT THERE and i couldn't do a damn thing about it! *he pounds the wall in anger*

[DarthSolo]

"Hey," Trel started, but then realized he didnt know how to continue. "you did all you could," he managed. He continued to think about other comforting words, but didnt really know if any of them would help, or if he really believed any of them. Silence ensued.

[Kapit]

*egrog looks at trel* yeah.....yeah, i think i did, but it just wasn't enough......i still can't believe it....

[DarthSolo]

"I know i know." he didn't know what else to say, so he just kept scrubbing his vomit.

[Kapit]

*egrog walks over to his bed and lays down* what a wonderful couple days it's been, just plain wonderful.....

[Soontir Solo]

Soontir looked at the timer.

"Reversion in 3, 2, 1."

Soontir and the other 3 fighters came out of hyperspace.

[Leto Aldriss]

Early the next morning,Leto met the remainder of Knight squad in the hangar.

Before he even got within ten feet of them he could smell the hang of booze in the air.

"Have fun last night?" Leto asked, not bothering to hide his ironic bemusment.

Not waiting for a reply, Leto began his mission breifing,(though he did take pitty on his large headed flight by having a pot of caff sent up from the mess, double strong.

"Gentlemen, this dark jedi working with the Vong has both high command and Master Skywalker on edge," Leto said as he sipped his caff and handed out copies of the recent development s on Mon Calamari, "The remains of the senate are poised to elect a new Chief of state, and a Sith Vong collaboration is just the sort of thing that detractors of the Jedi will be quick to point to, that force users don't just fight for our side."

"It is for this reson thatwe will be returning to Ithor, to search for some idea as to the purpose of the Dark Jedi's relationship with the Vong, and also the likely heading they set leaving the system."

Leto approached Ergog and patted his shoulder, "I realize that this will be hard for you, but i'm counting on you to act as my XO in this."

Stepping back he addressed the group, "we'll approach in diamond formation, Dake will be my wing, Ergog you'll have Trel with you, and Trel..."

Leto pointed Trel towards a polished bulkhead, "Go get your self cleaned up." refering to Ergogs artwork.

[DarthSolo]

"Ug," Trel sighed with frustration. "I'm never drinking again."

After reverting from hyperspace, Leet saw the remains of the convoy, and quite a large one from the wreckage. On the encrypted channel he said "Remember, we are pirates looking for salvage." On the open channel he said "Blood One, take your wing and check the wreckage towards the moon."

[Soontir Solo]

"Roger that sir."

Soontir and Alys went to check out the wreckage near the moon. They made there first pass with no problems.

"There seems to be a large portion of a Lancer Frigate over here. Going in for a closer look."

Soontir wished this was Vong wreckage instead.

[Queso]

"Copy that CAptain." Alys commed staying close to his wing.

[Cassus Fett]

"Ok Leto" *Dake replies "Ill be able to feel him when we reach the planet... i will try to keep my cool... but im not promising anything"

[Leto Aldriss]

"To the best of my abilities, I sense that he's now left Ithor, possibly to another Vong controlled world." Replied Leto, "And I know that you will do your best Dake."

"Gentlemen, to your fighters in twenty minutes." said Leto, then he informally dismissed the squad.

After they departed Leto stared out the nearby portal, "It's not gonna be easy for anyy of us going back there Jade, I wish it was you leading this one," Leto said, wishing he would receive an answer.

[Kapit]

*egrog walks up next to leto* crazy, isn't it? everything's gone to hell so quickly.......this has not been a good time..

[Leto Aldriss]

"No, I've got a padawan who's almost as well trained as I am, and now I've got to fill the role of squad leader too," Leto said not turning from the starscape beyond the window, "I never wanted the lead seat, we had someone for that, probably the best CO I've ever worked under."

"This war is gonna ruin us even if we win at this rate." Leto said, his voice void of emotion.

Over the last few days he had been making a great deal of effort to appear to be holding together, but the truth was that he was so close to breaking it scared him. Not for the first time he had entertained the thought of cutting loose the restrictions of military discipline and Jedi code and launching an open war against the Vong, win or lose.

The fact that he had so manyy responsibilities was the only thing keeping him grounded. Looking at Ergog, he could tell he wasn`t alone.

[Cassus Fett]

*walking over to Leto* Is it ok if CT comes along with us to Ithor?

[Leto Aldriss]

"Sure if you can find room,"

Minutes later the approval to launch came through, and Knight squad jumped to hyperspace cruising the distance to Ithor.

"Keep a tight formation Knights, we're gonna set down about three klicks from the point where the Vong and our quarry attacked."

Leto gripped the control stick tighter, not to keep control of the fighter but himself.

[Kapit]

*egrog sat in his cockpit, trying to breathe, but he was having troubles. there were too many memories of this place, of what happened, of what was lost. he comms leto privately* i don't know if i can do this.....

[Soontir Solo]

Soontir looked back and was glad Alys was keeping close to his wing.

"Major, I read no life signs on the remains of the frigate but I am getting a unique reading about 100 klicks past the frigate. Requesting permission to check this out sir. I think it may be an escape pod. Do I have your permission Major?"

[Leto Aldriss]

Replying on the secure channel, "C'mon you can do this, don't freeze up, I'll see you down there," and with that he added what strength he could through the force.

[Kapit]

*panicking* i...i don't know...this is hard leto....there's too much linked to this place......i can't, leto, i can't!

[Cassus Fett]

*Dake decrease his throttle to 50% so he can keep up with everyone else*

*The top of CT can be seen behind R7 on the R-Wing*

[Leto Aldriss]

Leto continued to send reassuring support through the force, just then Leto got a chirp from squeak, incomming skips at ten and two, two trios.

"We can't have this argument right now Ergog, skips comming in on your two o'clock, You and Trel take those, Dake and I will take the ones at ten."

"Leapfrog your sheilds to keep a fresh set against their fire," Leto ordered, "fighters break now!!"

[Cassus Fett]

*Dake banks hard left following Leto*

"Leto, can i break off from you and attack from thier rear. Im much faster than them if i go to full throttle"

*He positions himself on Leto's left wing*

"i understand if you want me to stay on your wing, the decision is yours"

[Kapit]

*egrog turns off his comm and dives down and to the right* trel, stay behind and above me, watch out behind us

[Leto Aldriss]

"Okay Dake, but stay frosty," Leto advised, "don't let them pick up your trajectory, or you'll be without a wingman if they figure out your plan"

Leto stays with Ergog and Trel, hoping that Dake will be alright until he can join up with him again.

[Cassus Fett]

"Okay" *Dake opens up his throttle and again banks a hard left as if he was going to leave the batte*

*Vong fighters ignore him, so he banks right and places himself behind the vong fighters but not still not inrange of his weapons*

[Queso]

Alys commed Soontir.

"Captain, they haven't responded. Perhaps we show some intiative and go on?"

[DarthSolo]

"I'm on you, Egrog," Trel reassured. He stayed on his friends wing and together they made a strong run on a trio of skips, destroying two. "Good shooting!"

[Kapit]

*egrog's r2 beeped at him* dive now!!!

*four skips drop in behind trel, trying to get a bead on him*

[Leto Aldriss]

Leto hung with Ergog and Trel until he saw Dake taking his position behind the second trio. Then with a quick comm to his temporary wing, he broke rank heading straight for the grooup Dake was trailing, in order to give them somthing else to deal with.

"Dake," commed Leto, "Slash right through, and we'll catch them inn cross fire, then swing by Trel and see if you can't sweep some of the debris off his tail."

[Cassus Fett]

*Dake gets within weapons range and opens fire on the first three fighters, destroying all three* "Got them" *He swings his fighter left and chases the trio heading towards Leto, Egrog and Trel*

[DarthSolo]

Trel banked his X-Wing hard to port then pulled a loop and got behind the pursuing skips. He poured as much energy as he could into their sheilds to distract them. "Egrob break! Now's your chacne!"

[Cassus Fett]

*Dake gets with in missle range of the trio and targets the leader* "Ive got tone, missles away" *Two missles head towards the lead vong fighter, destroying it almost straight away* "Sorry cant do that Leto, its getting a little hot over here"

[Soontir Solo]

Soontir led Alys towards the unique sensor reading.

"Definitely an escape pod, no life signs though. We need to check that out. I am going to use my tractor beam to tow it. Once we get back to the ship we can check it out. Any sign of skips?"

[Kapit]

*egrog throws his x-wing into a barrel roll to port, and suddenly heads straight up, trying to get the skips off his tail* trel, i need you to fire on these coordinates *rattles off some numbers* when i tell you

*he brings his fighter around to starboard, drawing in the skips*

[Cassus Fett]

*Dake pulls closer to the last remaining two vong fighters near him and opens fire, destroying the first one, sending the destroyed craft into the side of the second* O, that was good *fires and destroys the last craft before flying through the debrie*

"All clear over here, you guys need some help?"

[Queso]

Alys did a scan.

"Negative, Blood 1. There are none on my sensors."

[Cassus Fett]

Dake checks his scope as his friends take on the last three vong fighters

he notices something on the planet, something that shouldnt be there

*comm* Ive got something on my scope on the surface, it looks like a building maybe a shuttle or a command centre. I recomend that when we land we check it out

Dake barrel roles and heads in the direction of Leto

[Leto Aldriss]

"Copy that Knight 5," Leto replied as Ergog and Trel dispatch the last of the Vong skips, "All Knights converge on the following co-ordinates."

[Cassus Fett]

*Dake takes his place on Leto's wing* "Ill follow you in"

[Kapit]

*egrog ad trel float over* so...we're not doing that again, right?

"Doing what?"

[Kapit]

trying to get ourselves killed

"What you mean trying with your flying?" *laughs* "Its lucky its just stupid Vong" *laughs*

haha, laugh it up, dake, we still have to race, and we'll see who gets the last laugh...

Alys waited while Soontir got the pod with his tractor beam.

"Blood 3 to Blood 2 we have inbound enemies."

"Stang" she muttered. "3,4. Keep high and watch, engage the enemie only when you absolutely have to. I'll cover Blood lead."

Double-clicks came across as the other two acknowledged her orders.

"Bloods to Knights, we require assistance. We have Vong incoming and we have picked up an escape pod."

[Leto Aldriss]

"Prepare to make land fall," Leto responded, "Dake, can you describe what you saw?"

[Cassus Fett]

"Small building looked Vong, maybe its an outpost. i know where it is"

[Soontir Solo]

"Negative on that. The Knights have there own mission at Ithor. We aren't in a gravity well so I will go to hyperspace with this escape pod in tow. You will go to hyperspace as well. We didn't come here for a flight nor are we in a position to make a good fight. Major Leet we are out of here with the escape pod, I suggest you do the same. Hopefully this will provide us some answers."

With that Soontir and Alys went to hyperspace just before the skips got into range, with Soontir towing the escape pod.

*Dake follows Leto down to the planet. They land a few miles away from the small building Dake had spotted earlier*

Soontir waited for the reversion back to the frigate, hoping some things would get settled finally.

Watching Soontir and Alys make for hyperspace, Leet said "Rece lets buzz those scarheads and give them time." Making a quick pass through the oncoming Skips, Leet and Rece break up their pattern long enough to buy the other pair time to make hyperspace. Heading the other direction, one of Leet's brains make a quick calculation.

"Take the coordinate's I'm sending and jump in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1." And then Leet sees nothing but light.

"Okay," Trel says uncomfortably. he scanned the surface of the planet that he once knew as Ithor, but it was sickly different. He fiddled with his blaster at his hip. "So, what now, guys?

Coming out of hyperspace Leet began calculating a return to the frigate. "Alright Rece, I hope Soontir made it back OK." Jumping back to hyperspace, Leet pondered what he had seen.

As Pac slings his bag on his shoulders he answers Major Leet, "Well, I've always loved anything that moves extremely fast, whether it be a STAP, Speeder Bike, or A-Wing, I'm always ready to live life on the edge. And besides, if I die, at least I know I died for a cause I beleive in."

Leto looks to Trel, "How's Ergog holding up?" He said, "I've never seen him this down, I just hope he can deal with it and keep himself intact."

"He should be able to," Trel said, but wasn't 100% sure. "Its been tough."

Soontir looked at the escape pod. He waited for the techs to finish the scans of the escape pod so they could make sure it was safe to open up.

"How much longer Lieutenant?" Soontir said to the technician.

"I don't want to take any chances that this has been tampered with by the Vong sir. Give me a half an hour and it should be ready to open. There are still some more tests that need to be run sir." said the technician

"Very well, carry on Lieutenant. I'll be in my quarters. I'll be back in half an hour."

Soontir walked off ready to go into the refreshed to get a much needed shower and change uniforms.

Alys watched as Soontir walked off. SHe closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Opening them she continued to watch as the tech worked on the pod.

Underneath the calm, she was really worried about Dake. In fact she was really worried about everyone since the loss of Col. Jade. She shook her head and continued to watch the tech.

[Soontir Solo]

Half an our later Soontir returned to the escape pod.

"Well sir we are finished. Nothing abnormal about the pod. We can give our approval to open it now." said the technician.

"Very well, do it."

The techns opened up the escape pod and Soontir looked inside. And he immediately turned his eyes away in horror. Pulling out his comm unit........

"Major Leet sir you need to come check this out. The escape pod has just been opened and I believe it is a message to all of us, the Jedi especially, from this Dark Jedi. This looks to be a Jedi, dead and badly burned as if from intense electricity. I believe this Dark Jedi is calling all of you out. I have no idea what Jedi this is though, this Jedi is a Rodian though. I'll be here when you get here sir. Solo out."

Soontir looked over at Alys

"I hope you understand what is happening now. With Jedi dying left and right we will probably get sent right into the heart of this problem like Ithor and more of us will die. And still the military does not give us the necessary equipment to accomplish our mission and does not send the best Jedi, meaning Luke Skywalker, to help with this mission. They expect us to do the impossible when we are undersupplied, and don't care how many die to get it done. This is why this war is being lost. If this problem would have been faced by the Chiss the Chiss would move against it with everything they had, with the skill only the Chiss can muster. I hope your ready for the hardest mission of your short life, because I think with this message from the Dark Jedi......its coming."

Soontir said all this and looked back at the dead Rodian Jedi with the horrific burns.

Alys clenched her jaw.
"Aye Captain." was what she said. What she wanted to say was 'if the Chiss were so bleedin' good where were they?' But that would be insubordination and at this point not a good thing.

[Soontir Solo]

Soontir looked closely at Alys.

"Your eyes speak volumes Lieutenant. Speak your mind please."

Alys straightend up.
"Alright, Captain," she said, "If the Chiss are so good then why are there so few of you people out here, fighting? Do you have such a suproirity complex that you consider us not worth the effort? You complain about the way we've been fighting but also consider that most of our military vollunteers to put thier lives on the line for people we don't know. For this not being compulsary service and the fact we're fighting a completely different enemy, I'd say we're doin' a damn good job."

She paused. "Sir."

Soontir grinned.

"I don't doubt the courage of the soldiers here, but I doubt the leadership who directs these soldiers. Your politicians delve into areas they shouldn't. They should give the military one mission.......to defeat the Yuuzghan Vong. And let them do it, not micro-manage them and consider politcs more important than victory. Even you military leadership has problems. Garm Bel Iblis is off with a 1/3 of the fleet not taking orders from Admiral Sovv. And honestly who can blame him after what happened at Coruscant with Kre'fey and Sovv basically leaving Bel Iblis to fight the Vong alone with Antilles. The troops here lack discipline. I could point to this very unit for examples but that would be wrong."

Soontir looked away for a moment.

"The Chiss are very different. My people have a policy of never going to war unless attacked first. As of now the Chiss and the Yuuzghan Vong encounters have been few and been dealt with by my people. What few of us are fighting this war are here primarily to keep the Chiss Intelligence first rate. Should the Yuuzghan Vong ever make a real stand and decide to invade Chiss Space the Chiss would bring all there might against the Vong, but right now that can't be done. It goes against thousands of years of Chiss heritage."

Soontir looked back at her

"To win this war we must all band together and take the offensive as one. Defensive war has one result...............Defeat! Unless your people unite and the corrupt politicians are taken from power I see no end to this war, at least not one culminating in victory."
